On Monday I ordered ink online for pickup. Less than an hour later the order was cancelled and I was sent a text saying the manager would call me. Of course they never called and if they had I would have asked for different ink. Anyways fast forward to Friday I go into Office Depot for something else and I check to see if the ink has be restocked. It hadn’t been. But I do see one box of the ink I ordered Monday. I immediately ask to speak to a manager but he keeps me waiting over 10 minutes before I decide to just check out. I am still waiting for a refund from Monday’s order. The store is always a mess and poorly stocked. And I honestly believe no one looked for my order on Monday.

No matter how many times I might change my mind on printing different sizes, they always showed patience.

Arrived at 4:53p and the copy service area was closed. The store closes at 6p. Nothing on the website states that copy service closes earlier than the store. This is upsetting, because as I attempted to make my own copies(in which, I couldn’t complete the details of my copy job)5 people walked up to the area and were turned away.

Most of the staff doesn’t know about the services they offer. I went to get some work bounded and it’s clearly stated on their website. They said they don’t offer it.

Seriously the worst location ever. The staff do not care about anything and do not want to help you. And when you inform the manager and try to get help from them they don’t care either. And you guys wonder why so many people are losing their jobs and businesses are closing down…

I always go here to get my printing done. The staff are always helpful and nice. I always have difficulty with self service machines (not just at Office Depot) so I appreciate being able to have a person help me.

Worst service ever. Like I am not a bad reviewer but this is ridiculous. I have been going here for years and the service in the print area has gotten worse since I no longer see this guy who I believe name was mike. It got so bad and slow that I started going elsewhere. I needed to get something at an earlier time and usually I am able to get it when I come in since I pay online, but today 06/06/2019 at 9:02 am the guy was OVERLY SLOW. when I came in there was 2 people who walked in and he serviced them. Told me it would be half a hour or less. I patiently waited as about 3 others walked in and received there orders as walk in. He walked someone around the store and everything. Half a hour later I still didn’t receive my order. 9:42(I have to be at work at 10) the printer supposedly worked and my order still was not done. I understand things happen but I literally could have been services earlier since it was just a ready to print order. The service is horrible. I could have left time ago and now I am late for work due to the slow fullness of this worker.

The 2 Brothers in the printing department has a great sense of humor. They will make you laugh and if you dont shame on you. Great Customer Service. Thanks to the entire store.

Great printing services at reasonable rates. Professional service. Also liked how I could customize online. Prices are specialty medium priced with some budget buys. Convenient to bus stop, shopping, University of Chicago.

Manager Mr. Shake is very polite and helpful. Seems like the general customer service in the store is lacking professionalism and knowledgable employees. When I called in today and spoke with the tech department I could barely here the guy he sounded like he was watching tv, rushing me on the phone and seemed generally rude and inconsistent. With amazon being a global company making nost instore companies like this one obsolete you would think the brand would train its employees better especially when most things can be ordered online a very reduced or s or similar cost

I had a pleasant experience while shopping for office furniture. I had a little of a hard time locating an item I saw online for sale and a young man I believe his name was Jeremy stopped his work on a ladder to come down and assist me. I made eye contact with several associates before I saw him. He truly made my visit better. If give 2 stars if it werent for him.

Slowest check out EVER. Cheryl is nice but it literally takes about 5 minutes for her to check out each customer. It was maddening and I almost put back my purchase and walked out. Imagine watching paint dry, repainting it and letting it dry again.No one is out on the floor and there just never seems to be enough personnel. A lot of folks come on lunch breaks and are so frustrated with the lack of service. Although I can only speak for myself, there were several disgruntled clients wondering why no one opened another register. God forbid needing copies, that line never ends. Every time I have ever gone in here, Ive fallen into a time warp where time stands still and Im lost wandering through the labyrinth trying to find someone to take some headphones out of the case so I can buy them.I know my review is dramatic: the sad part is.. everything I said is TRUE.

One of the best places around to handle your copying needs. Beats out FedEx Kinkos stores by a landslide. Staff is great prices much better then most of the high-end copying Center places.

Office Depot is my “go to” place for mailing Christmas packages. Much better than Post Office. Better hour, shorter lines, packing services and packing supplies. Employees at this location are always helpful. Store could use some “sprucing up”.

Corey in the print department gave me great customer service! He was helpful and knowledgable about paper options, and he got my print order right. He displayed a friendly and patient attitude throughout my order. I would recommend this location for print services of all kinds based on my experience with Corey today. 👍

Customer service is lacking from staff who apparently get this from the female manager. Not going back to spend my money where it clearly is not appreciated.

They have the typical. I was checking out the office chairs and comparing their actual inventory available and comparing with what they said they had available in store through their website and its glaringly off. The specific items the website said were available for pick up were not, and there were sale items online that were not being advertised instore.

The store is old but the employees were GREAT. I tried making business cards online and the system wouldnt work. I came in the store, they gave me the online discount and I had my cards in TWENTY minutes. Excelsior!

This place is an absolute joke. Youre never greeted when you come in the store and dont even think about going to the copy center where you can wait at least up to 40 minutes before someone gives you I contact or even say hello and theyll be right with you. The store looks and feels very raggedy and unkempt and its best to avoid the spot and go elsewhere.

1 star is more than enough for this store. It is very dirty and NEVER has working bathrooms or water fountains!!! I mean Ive been in there a couple times and not once have they had working facilities!!! Asides from this, the actual products are overpriced and frequently mislabeled to show inaccurate prices. This is very deceptive and wastes time. Lastly the manager is rude. Overall very unhappy with this store.Plus side: lines are fast.

I will never shop here again. After informing the manager who happened to be on the register that i was overcharged for science fair display boards and providing photo proof, i was told the serial number doesnt match and things get moved around because its the back to school season. She then proceeded to help someone else while i was still standing there even though i stood in line a 2nd time. She took my boards when i initially walked up but while mid order with another customer brings them and leans them against my cart as if to show me we were done here.I called customer service and gave them my product number only yo confirm i was right about the price and she was just being a jerk. I am returning them this morning for a full refund because they dont deserve my money with such subpar customer service.

Manager did not speak after being greeted twice, was not helpful in explaining my item. Associate was not knowledgeable but definitely interested in stocking his shelves. Line was very long 2 cashiers struggling it felt like a Family Dollar overpriced and not worth the effort. sad

I came in today to get obituarys made for my mothers funeral and they dident print right the manager and employee had a attitude and wouldent let me print them correctly even tho the recipient clearly says refund if not satisfied i asked for my money back and they still dident want to give my money back 😠 dont go to this place

I felt very uncomfortable working on my business. I was using a copier, a table to prepare my letters and the restroom. I noticed a presents of staff following and watching me the whole while I was there. As I left the store there was a police squad car watching me as I left. Im disabled. I feel Ive been discriminated against under Public Accommodation.

Worst customer service. I have left messages for and emailed the manager, giving several opportunities to call or email me in order to rectify more than one issue, but they clearly dont care about customers, and have never called me back.

I continue to believe the next time I go in for print services it will be better than the last time. Not so... I give up. I purposely place orders online and pick them up 1-2 days later so they have time to print them correctly. Again, not so... this is the third time I have had a problem with prints... this time, the wrong order... I have currently been standing in line for over 20 minutes in the print & copy section with 2 people behind the counter “working” and all the registers with available cashiers to help out. There is only one lady in front of me and 3 people at the desk taking ALL DAMN DAY just to make some copies! None of the regular copy machines work and you would think after visibly seeing my difficulty in trying to get the printer to work to copyMY ONE PIECE OF PAPER an associate would ask if they could assist me. Nope....she just took a swig of her pop and kept on talking to her fellow cashier. Now almost 29 minutes later a young lady comes over to start assisting us. I will never return to this store with their high ass prices on ink cartridges that they do have in stock and their lack of attention to their self service machines and customers!

All office depots are not the same. I prefer the Hyde Park shopping ctr store because of the friendly helpful staff. Rumors are that office Depot is going out of business in 2019-2020. Hope not!

I went to Office Depot to get a Kindle Touch. I brought the slip to the register for the $99 version - the one without ads. They said they were out but offered to sell me the floor version which had only been out for 1-2 weeks for 10% off, so I went for it. I was rang up without the discount, and had to remind them about it, they gave it to me, no big deal. I went home and realized they gave me the Kindle WITH ads, which is $20 cheaper, even though I paid for the Kindle without ads. I returned to the store to ask to exchange the one I was given for one without the ads, and ended up having to explain the problem over and over to staff. The staff said that the number on the box matched the Kindle without ads, I had to explain over and over that regardless of the box, this Kindle definitely had ads and should have been $20 cheaper. Eventually, the third time I stated that I was sold the floor model, which could have easily been put in the wrong box by staff, he understood and gave me a refund. It felt like I couldnt trust them to know what they were doing. I was the one that had to make sure I was given the discount promised me, I was the one that realized they sold me the wrong product. Even when they refunded my money, I was the one that had to point out that they also needed to refund the warrantee I bought. If you have to shop here, be prepared to double and triple check everything because the staff seems to have no attention to details. Although they tried to help, the whole thing was a huge hassle and Im ending up going somewhere else to buy a Kindle anyway. I wont be shopping here again.

(this is a review of their shipping service)I went there to send some packages via the UPS/USPS drop off service they are providing. Terribly slow, waited for 15 minutes and then went to the UPS in 53rd street( I was in and out in 5 minutes although there were 3 people before me). If you have something to ship, dont go here because even USPS on 1510 E 55th St, Chicago, IL 60615 (which is notorious for slow service) is faster.

The printing and copy center is pathetic. The absolute slowest service youll ever recieve, especially if Eugene is working and hes the department manager. At least one or two self- service stations should be incorporated to speed things up. I dread coming here have copies made or fax anything!

I stopped going here after experiencing its customer service. The shelf price of regular products are expensive, and the clearance section offers no incentive for me to look around. The price error is never corrected and they blame you for their mistakes.

This store is just like all the other Office Depots. I will say it is convenient for the South side, because they have all closed.

This place is understaffed, and its equipment is subpar. The staff seem to know very little on how to work its photocopy machines and it seems they are burnt out from constantly not meeting the needs of their customers. Intervention and professional development from HQ is needed.

Fri I went there to get some glossly labels printed and I was told they dont do it anymore because it jamed thier printers; I have had 7 kinds of labels printed thier before. Sat I go there to buy a printer abd the asst. Manager coms to me for help aftervhe an another associate stated me down. Not inly did I tell him that I had to buy a printer since you all dont print labels no more but u have an advertising error which I showed him and he JUST walked away. EXCELLENT customer service huh?

Got a new laptop there like the peoples.it cool.and ink cartridge and match prices too.

I step out of line to price check a cord i was being rung out on come back and the cashier (Jeremy)is ringing out another customer. So i waited to the side thinking he was going to finish my transaction when he was done but he takes the customer behind her. I spoke to the manager and the manager tells me i was suppose to go back to the end of the line eventhough he already started ringing me out. I just wanted to leave so i ended the argument and went back to rhe cashier. When i came back the cashier was ringing out another customer who than left in the middle of the transaction (like me) to check a product. I asked him to ring me up for my cord and he begin to look around for the other customer. It wasnt into i said really? So you will wait for him that he decides to ring me out.

Can get really busy here if you need printing services. The staff is patient and courteous.

I must start by highlighting the fact that one star is an overrating for this business....Do not expect to order something and have it delivered to your residence or business on time...Better yet dont expect it to be delivered period.....Customer services has blamed the carrier for the entire week my delivery was overdue.....Oh and by the way you yourself need to take time out of your day to call customer service in order to get an update which sounds like uhm yea, we aint get in contak wif da carrierDont waste your time- im done

This review is for the print Service only!They do not know what customer service is. The older white male there acts like it pained him to print out 2 papers that I paid .88 cents for. He also had trouble with viewing I think he needs new glasses. He seemed to be disgusted with all the customers as well as he co workers. Everyone in this area is always having a bad day. I only write a review if the problem is constant, it is at this location. Management please give your employees a reason to smile because no matter how polite I am to them they are just Super unpleasant!
