I absolutely loved this class !!! Mike is energetic, REAL, authentic, & very very professional !!!! He is very smart & he knows his stuff !!! I can’t tell you how exciting it was to find an instructor like him !! He has so much prior experience and education that makes him a PERFECT instructor !!! He doesn’t sugar coat and helps us understand with real situations and acting it out for us visual learners !!!! 7.18.21 me & my mom graduated from his class and I expect to have my entire family and friends train with him. !!!

Mike is the man, Mike is a realist and a professional at the same time. He is giving you more than you pay for with the time you’re spending with him. This concealed to carry class was very challenging to me. From not every holding a gun before into being able to fire it on my own, and actually hit my target. I am very much pleased with the work Mike has put into teaching his class properly, on not only knowing how to successfully use a firearm to leaving his class and being able to use the firearm successfully knowing when and where and how to use my firearm to be able to fully protect my self when the time has come. This class has been above and beyond helpful to me more than I can explain. I am very thankful for this experience and do recommend this class. 5 plus stars 🌟

Mike Brown taught me the most valuable Logical, tactical and safe defense course with life skills as a bogus most beneficial to me and my family in such a time of much crime. I learned so much in 16hrs that the money I paid for the course can’t amount up to the training and knowledge that Mike has taught me. From that I completely understand that I can positively control the environment around me and safely using survival tactics to stay alive in a threatening situation when necessary. I can now feel safe with using the law of weapon to my advantage and also still comply with the law of weapon.

I’ve taken his unarmed course about 3 years ago and I’ve just taken his armed security and concealed carry class and it was even better! Mike is the best and always know how to grab his students attention. People call it “rude” but I call it survival attention! I love it and keep it up Mike!

Great instructor with a passion for what he does he takes the training seriously and he does know what he doing and talking about. Though I feel he may too passionate at times and it effects his ability to communicate with his students in a professional manner. Class was very informative, mind stimulating and overall GOOD. I recommend you having stuff skin to do this class and be willing to listen & learn, also be engaging, if you don’t know ASK, there is no right or wrong question or answer in his class. Highly recommend taking this class. Aside from being very informative Mike is very direct and takes gun safety extremely serious. Starting off he states to not take anything personal and to keep your feelings outside the classroom. He reiterates his teaching method is not for everyone. His boldness, directness and drill-like approach can be too much for some to handle.

This 2 day course was very informative. Within 16 hours Instructor Mike ensured that he went into scenarios and laws that tested your critical thinking and make you aware of the consequences that follow your actions, especially within the law. He covered and demonstrated the proper way to hold the firearm. It was exciting and informative. Learning never has been so fun. Thank you.

This is the class you NEED to take you want your CCL. Mike Brown is the absolute best. His military background (which made me feel right at home), his police background and overall life experience all makes for an amazing instructor. I have followed Mike on social media for a while and I loved his HONEST, CONCISE AND INFORMATIVE way of teaching.The most important take away for me was the conflict resolution aspect of his lecture. Mike encourages ASSESSING solutions before engaging w your firearm. The self control aspect hits home for me as well because often ppl’s responses escalates the situation. Mike don’t encourages knowledge being a power that most of ppl(especially AA) don’t know how to use or even know it’s a source of power.In short, I will be signing up for his one -on-one classes as well

5/5!! This class was way beyond what I expected! I feel so much more knowledgeable and even more refreshed on things that I already knew about life, myself, my community, and firearms! Mike Brown was so relatable to real life circumstances and his scenarios were on point to real life situations. He even had several unfortunate current and past events that happened involving firearms and where the outcome could have been different. I leave here today not prepared to shoot a firearm but prepared to be more aware of myself and avoiding to use my firearm because every “threat” that you feel, it is not necessary that your firearm needs to be drawn instead safety is first and it can be avoided. You do not want to find yourself in a situation that could have been avoided. Thank you so much Mike Brown. I look forward to training with you again.

Mike Brown is indeed, the best firearms instructor in the state of Illinois. This is the second time I’ve taken one of his courses and I’ve learned more than I expected each time. He goes out of his way to touch on subjects and aspects of the criminal justice system that is not required to teach, but he does so so that it enhances his student’s knowledge of the CJS system and their responsibility as a gun owner/carrier in the state of Illinois.If you want the sugar coated version (the easy teaching) this class is NOT for you. Yet, if you can put your emotions to the side and let the lessons just sizzle on your mind, and make yourself THINK, it’s perfect for you.16 hours is not enough time to teach you how to be the best at defending yourself, but this is the perfect foundation.
