My son has been attending their summer camp this summer and he loves taekwando at Chang’s. The coaches are excellent, and care personally about the kids which is palpable once you enter the place.. It’s a challenge to run a camp during this pandemic, but everyone at Chang’s are doing a fantastic job and serving the community. Overall, they provide great opportunity for kids’ self-development and personal growth. I highly recommend them.

My kids have been attending summer camp and are loving it!!! Even during this crazy Covid time they’re doing an amazing job of getting them out, crafting, playing and Exercising. I’m glad we chose to send them here. What a great staff that loves what they’re doing.

Both my kids , a 10 yr old and 8 yr old has been going to Chang’s Tae Qawn do classes for last 4 years .The positive changes in their personalities are very visible and significant. We appreciate their efforts to improve our kids physical and mental abilities. A must have experience for all kids .

Martial Arts is the way of life and not just a sport. My kids love it and are always happy to go to Chang’s Martial Arts. They feel at home at Chang’s Martial Arts. They are confident and have a sense of achievement.

Changs Martial Arts Academy is the place to practice Take Kwon Do with the best instructors. Master Lanre is the best! He does not only teach martial arts, he also teaches discipline.

Personally I never write a good review about a location. Although, this place is amazing. My little girl learns a lot from here and learns about responsibility and how to be discipline. The staff is friendly and strict. In which i find appropriate for a martial art school. My little girl learns a lot here and enjoys here time working out with the instructors. The instructors take good consideration of problems when ever we have them. She loves going there and therefore i will continue to pay the price as long as she learning both responsibility and discipline.

Nothing but an excellent team of professionals. I was part of the adult Taekwondo class and the teachers were so kind and understanding when teaching. Being a foreigner, I never felt out of the group. Though I got transferred after an year or so of attending, they were ready to accept my cancellation after just 1 conversation.

I can not explain how much I love the program. My son had a huge behavior problem before he started. Its almost month 4 and he is already showing improvement. Also I am noticing that he is stronger and more confident. He needs more improvement so I will be keeping him in taekwondo at Changs for years to come. The instructors are so great with children and they are very knowledgeable. Ive put my son in different things (basketball, piano), and this is by far the best move that Ive made.

Complete love for Changs! Lanre, the owner, is an amazing person and has created an environment for everyone (adults and children) to flourish. I participated in the Kickboxing fitness and boy did it ever kick you into gear! Everyone Ive met who works at Changs has been absolutely wonderful. My son is currently enrolled at Changs Martial Arts (Chicago Ave. location). Hes in the 7 year and above group classes. The teachers are excellent with understanding each individual student and encouraging them to do their best. We are having a wonderful experience there and will continue to take classes. As parents we are seeing the growth in our sons confidence and focus. I highly recommend Changs for Tae Kwon Do!

The instructor David is fantastic and truly knows each kid individually. Lanre the owner is hilarious and so good with kids. Zoila the front desk personnel is so kind and attentive. The whole crew has great energy. They made sure the kids had a place to be during the CTU strike, summer, and various non attendance days at school. They truly are like family. I love how they treat all my children with kindness even though my daughters do not participate in class. I am so happy to have found this place filled with great community. Thank you Lanre, David, and Zoila for taking such great care of Eli.

My kids love going to Tae Kwon Do! My son is more confident in himself and is taking risk that he has never taken before. My daughter practices every chance she gets to improve her kicks and punches. This is a great school and the teachers are great with the students!

Changs teaches discipline and respect, but when I tried to cancel they were rude and condescending. The reason I was cancelling is because my son liked the classes there and went regularly at 4:30 on Tuesday during the school year. Then one day he showed up for class and there were 5 times as many students with one teacher. The summer camp started and they combined it with his class and did not give us any notice. They made a fortune off 40 kids in the class with one teacher and when I told them I wanted to cancel for the summer because my son liked small class and they said I had to continue to pay for a month. So I agree to the month notice of $156 and had e-mail documentation of cancellation date. They continued to charge my checking account for a few month after (I didnt realize it until my checking went into overdraft because I rarely write checks). I notified them that I cancelled months prior and they were rude and very slow to return the funds, even after I resent my cancellation e-mail with a date to prove I cancelled it months ago. Respect and discipline is what they scream at the kids for and they do not have it themselves.

Instructors here are like family. They are easy to work with and my son gets a great workout.

Weve been part of CMA family for almost 2 years and it has been a great experience. My 5yo has been taking TKD and their instructor Mr. David is amazing with the kids. You can tell all the kids have a great time as well. We also held a birthday party at CMA for my son. CMA truly made my son feel like the star and champion on his special day (got to break a special board and cut the birthday cake with a sword!).

I don’t normally write reviews, but Chang’s Martial Arts has made such an impact on me and my life, I had to share my wonderful experience! I found Chang’s when I took a little girl I nanny for to one of their children’s classes, and I fell in love immediately with every aspect of the place! I loved the instructors, the way the children’s class was conducted and the rapport between the children and the instructors, and the art of Tae Kwon Do itself! Later that day I found out they have classes for adults as well, and I knew immediately I had to sign up! Since then, (about two months ago) Tae Kwon Do has become the highlight of my week. The classes provide a great workout that is different from working out at the gym, and it works your brain as well, as you have to learn and remember the Korean terms for everything! The instructors are all fantastic. They strike the perfect balance between challenging and encouraging; they always push you to do your best and hold you to a high standard, which makes it all the more satisfying when you do well in class! They tell us everyone was a beginner once, and anyone can do Tae Kwon Do- two things that really make you feel empowered. And even though in any given class there may be 8 students with 6 different belt ranks, no one acts superior, and everyone is welcoming and encouraging. You really feel like a team working together to do your best. Tae Kwon Do is an amazing art, and Chang’s is a fantastic place to learn it!
