I highly recommend Goldfish Swim school. My 4yo daughter was so afraid of the water before coming here but with the help of Goldfish staff shes gotten so comfortable with dunking her face, ears and body under water in just a matter of 3 lessons. I also like the small classes. It give the instructor the ability to focus on each child and lesson. Establishment is clean, bathrooms and the changing rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.

Serious safety issue - do not go here. My child was put in danger. The door to the pool deck does not latch. There is a door which you would assume is latched but my 20 month old was able to open it on his own and make it to the pool deck where there were no lifeguards on duty. When I raised with the general manager she said it was for fire safety. Child safety needs to be #1 and separate measures in place to manage fire safety. I have never been to a pool without a working perimeter. Let alone a pool for children. We are now as Foss on Ashland and they take child safety much more seriously.

I love helping my 2-year-old daughter to swim. Its teaching her to listen better, follow instruction, and its something we can bond over. Not to mention the exercise helps lay a foundation for lifelong physical fitness. I can tell my daughter is proud of herself when she demonstrates a new skill. Mark seems like a really good teacher, hes always been helpful in explaining or re-explaining things to my daughter and I. Highly recommend.

I love the positivity of the instructors and the fun, low-pressure approach to swimming. My son was not enjoying lessons elsewhere and as a result was too emotional to focus and learn, but has made huge strides in his skills in just 1 month at Goldfish because he is having so much fun and understands the structure! Low class sizes means more attention and practice time, too.

My son has been taking swimming lessons at Goldfish swimming school in Roscoe village for 5 years now. It’s been a wonderful experience. Excellent instructors, professional and courteous, the staff is always friendly and attentive. They are always ready to answer any questions, as well as responding to our emails in a timely matter. The facility is clean, organized well maintained. We are also thankful the school offered private lessons during the pandemic. Thanks so much!

I HIGHLY recommend this program to all the families I nanny for. I love the build up of skills over time and how they teach pool safety . This is coming from someone who has 30 years experience of being a full time nanny and has gone to a couple of other Goldfish locations in the suburbs. The experience has been been the same at all locations with consistently high educational value plus the young instructors are always well mannered and respectful of my knowledge and corrections that I bring up.

This school cares more about policies than the safety of their clients. I do not trust them having my child in the water. They refuse to change their Covid policies even though Chicago and the state of Illinois has! They also refused to give me a direct contact to speak to the policy maker, school owner. I was told I had to email the manager that I was speaking to and they would forward the email. I will be switching to the YMCA. Basically all the employees that work here can go out to bars and bowling alleys on weekends, but a grandmother isn’t allowed to come in and see her granddaughter’s swim lesson? I explained to the manager I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my 80 yr old mother-in-law alone. She said they could not make an exception. While I was changing my daughter, my mother-in-law waited outside where she fell (which I didn’t find out until we got home and saw mulch stuck to her sweater). I have also seen that they allow younger siblings to come with the “one guardian”, but I guess that doesn’t apply to caring for older people. If this school treats you like a number at the door, how can they deliver individualized swim lessons to my child? Good job Goldfish.

Goldfish Swim School as an organization, as well as their team members, have gone above and beyond in their efforts to provide much needed extracurricular physical activity for children during these challenging times. They have done so in an ultra safe manner as well and should be commended. Their protocols are among the best I’ve seen, and as a physician I am aware of the need for strict adherence to such protocols. Goldfish offers great instruction in a safe engaging environment, and with a severe reduction in capacity I’m sure they could use all the support possible. I have two boys enrolled for private lessons currently and we have been with Goldfish for many years now. Don’t hesitate, sign up now!

My son has truly enjoyed the time back in the pool with his teacher since Goldfish reopened. I have been so impressed with the COVID safety protocol week after week. I feel like Goldfish has everyones interests at heart. The staff feels safe, the families feel safe, and its wonderful to have that sense of normality return just by hopping into a pool week after week.

I like the way they take time with each child, to build there skills so they can learn how to swim!Roscoe Village has such an Amazing crew! They greet us by our name, they gave my son a Happy Birthday shout out on his birthday! THEY ARE AMAZING! My kiddos love there instructors. Clean place and just amazing staff!

We have been with this place for for 2,5 years and we are so happy with it! There is an individual approach to each student and make sure that your opinion always matter and your satisfaction is one of the top priorities of the school. With the craziness with the COVID pandemic, the staff went above and beyond to maintain a clean environment! There is no a better day for my swimmer than the pool day!!

Goldfish has gone above and beyond by cleaning bathrooms and changing rooms between uses and scanning temps. They also keep class sizes small, limit guests, and spacing which is a huge plus. My daughter has loved attending their swim lessons. Highly recommend them.

We’re so happy that we joined the Goldfish family. After joining, the confidence of my swimmer soared at 3.5 yeas old taking him into Pro 1 with Coach Rick and now Pro 2 with a Coach Rox at age 5.5! We love the facility, curriculum and social media community. Only ask - the front desk staff acknowledge us coming and going. Wicker Park did this very well - Roscoe needs to step up their greeting. game.

My 6 year old daughter not only loves the class, but as far as I can tell she is excelling in it. Every day she asks, is today Goldfish day?, and when the day finally arrives she lets out a scream and runs to grab her swim suit. While we love the warm water and fun atmosphere, it’s the staff that makes Goldfish so great.Now, during the pandemic we really appreciate the strict measures that Goldfish is maintaining. They are actually practicing their policy!

Staff are great with kids and theres lots of staff around keeping eyes on the kids so always felt safe. Punctual start and stop times. Facility is clean. Would definitely recommend!

Goldfish has been a great experience for my son. He has come a long way in such a short period of time and I couldnt be happier with how he continues to learn.

Excellent place!. Young staff that still have the energy to teach the kids and very outgoing. My kid loves it here. He has learned so much and is improving at swimming. We have been coming here since he was 5 years old. He is now 9 years old and just loves it.

Our children, 6 and 5, love going to swimming class since they started their classes last fall. It has being very good specially for the 5 year old. She was really afraid of putting her head in the water, and, with a lot of patience, her teacher got her to do it at ease.

The staff is great. Our daughter loves going! The schedule times and options are nice since we are working parents. It is also really easy to cancel and reschedule!

My son loves attending and swimming with his teacher, Ricky who is super calm and always patient with his group.

We currently have a WONDERFUL teacher that is a great match for our daughter. She pushes her (just the right amount) and Vale is progressing so well!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our first class here today. Our teacher, Renee, was very friendly and welcoming. The facility was clean and there were plenty of amenities.It was suggested we arrive 10 minutes early but I recommend getting there 20-30 minutes early your first time. The place can be intimidating and no one offered to show us around.That being said, we are very excited to continue our lessons.

I have been bringing my 2 year old here for almost a year and she has gone from very scared of the water to jumping in if left unsupervised with reckless abandon. The facility is very kid friendly and the staff has always been helpful and friendly. Our instructor is hands on and is not afraid to get involved and grab kids out of their parents arms if they need a little extra attention. I cannot speak for the older kid classes, but my 2 year old definitely loves playing and being in the water now.

Love this swim school. Ive watched my son blossom. He used to cry and fear the water after his first round of ISR swim lessons. He went from sobbing days 1-3 to now begging to go to swim classes. What a transformation. I not only look forward to him strengthening his survival skills, but watching him enjoy the playing in the pool. Couldnt be a happier, proud mama.

We recently celebrated my daughters 7th birthday here on (3-10-18) and to quote my daughter THE BEST PARTY EVER!!!.... Megan and her team were amazing. We arrived with our party and they took over from the moment we entered. They were such great host. There isnt a better feeling then being able to relax and enjoy your childs party. Thank you.

After reading the awesome reviews, I was very excited about finally getting to know the facility and meeting the people that make Goldfish Swim School – Roscoe Village so great! I have a friend whose kids go to another Goldfish Swim School location and they love it! As it is obvious my expectations were very high, unfortunately, my experience on August 31st 2017 evening was nothing as the reviews described. After a long day at work and just wanting to go home, I went to the facility because I was determined to enroll my little girls. I got there around 7 pm and I saw 3 young guys talking behind the counter. I said hello and expressed that I wanted to take a look at the facilities and get a tour. The guy responded to me: “yeah, you can take a look.” I was very shocked and disappointed, I just took a look around by myself and thought wow not only this is very bad customer service, but do they really let anyone just walk around a facility that is full of children? It is very unfortunate because I had made up my mind that I wanted to enroll them, so I just needed to check out the place and confirm the tuition info that I had already reviewed on the website. However, after yesterday’s incident, I’m still on the lookout for a swim school.

My 2.5 year old took a swim session here & I didnt feel like he was actually learning to swim like the class description stated. They instructors were really nice & friendly but they would teach the same techniques to get the toddlers comfortable with the water & not necessarily teaching how to swim.

My family and I are very fortunate to cross paths with Goldfish Swim School! I have two of my boys enrolled and they have grown from scared to confident. My small one has been so proud of conquering his fear of being underwater that now he practices even in the bathtub! Goldfish is just wonderful!

We’ve been here in Goldfish for maybe about a year now, my kids used to go to Foss but because my son is more advance & golf fish has swim team, I decided to move them here. Unfortunately, last Sunday, October 14 in the afternoon, I encountered a terrible experience with one of the instructors- my daughter was in for a make up class and when I handed her to JB- I’ve indicated to him that he can be more aggressive with her, he then said ok. Unfortunately as he was teaching her, when she expressed reluctance in swimming by herself he then gave up on her and he would skip her at times....my daughter wasn’t crying but this instructor is not patient and easily gave up...when I talked to him, he indicated he knows what he’s doing and that he’s been an instructor here for a while and that he also teaches the swim team and gave me an attitude and threw the paper that was in the plastic that he was holding while he turned his back on me!!!!! I’ve never met anyone so ARROGANT as he is. He thinks that because he’s a supervisor and he has tenure- he feels the right to give me an attitude (a paying customer here at Goldfish)he was mean and condescending!!! Thanks to both the supervisor on duty at that time and MH - the Mgr on duty who helped me with the situation. I HAVE BEEN WITH FOSS FOR 5 years and NEVER EXPERIENCED AN ENCOUNTER WITH ANY OF THE STAFF THERE!!! I HOPE THE OWNER WILL READ THIS COMMENT!

Very organized. The instructors are very patient.

Every kid is always happy, learning and enjoying the warm air and warm water. Our LO is very confident here.

We had our first lesson with Victor and it was horrible upon watching my son with him he wasent paying attention and almost let my 6yr old son drown will never go back.

Switched to here from a Chicago Public School swim class where my girls were afraid and cold all the time..they look forward to this swim class every weekend! My oldest has overcome many of her fears and can now dive and swim after a few months!

Awesome pool !!! The cleanest of all where we were (and we traveled quite a few, in search of this). Just incredible, fantastic teachers (I am with my daughter 1.5 years, we are engaged in a group for kids). The program of classes is very well developed and everything goes very easily and pleasantly, we study in a playful way. Class !! Highly, highly recommend 👍👍👍👍👍
