We love Goldfish. Our son has been going here since he was 14 months old. He is now 4 and loves going under water, swimming and floating on his own. We have so much joy seeing his improvement over time from being nervous to being so comfortable in the water. We could not be happier with the level of professionalism and skills of the instructors. We would recommend Goldfish to any parent who would like to have their little ones learn this important life skill.

Pretty good place, and I they are handling the pandemic well

Since we started at Goldfish Swim - Wicker Park a year ago, two of my children have gone from non-swimmers to perfecting their strokes; my youngest, who has special needs is more more water safe than he was a year ago, and he can even swim a few feet under water! The teachers are all fantastic, and they do a great job balancing teaching and getting to know the needs of each kiddo. We always look forward to our swim classes and look forward to the day when Family Swims return. I feel comfortable with the safety measure in place since this summer. My kids are thrilled to be back in the pool, and they’re already making progress after losing a little ground in the spring due to COVID. Thanks to the Wicker Park staff for making this work!

Recently started swim class at the Wicker Park location. So glad to grab a weekend morning time that fits our and the kids’ schedule. Really appreciate the availability of face shield for parents to use during swim due to covid as I go in the pool with my 2 year old. Also appreciate the facility not letting parents/guardian in until 5 minutes of class start time and limiting parent/visitor waiting together in the viewing area. Facility is clean and we feel safe. Do wish the class is longer than 30 minutes, maybe increase to 45 minutes. Feel like once the kids just got use to the water and is warmed up the class is ending.

OMG we love Goldfish swimming school! Johnny has made great improvement with every lesson...not just with his swimming skills. His confidence, eagerness to learn/listen, instructors make each lesson FUN which makes the water not so scary. The COVID-19 precautions in place make me feel safer. The entire staff is beyond friendly and very patient/helpful with me locking in extra classes. Fingers crossed we can find back to back classes for Johnny to join so he can have an entire hour of lessons. Thanks

My 4 (almost 5) year old is new to Goldfish Swim School and he already loves it. He has not had classes since we introduced him to a different swim school when he was 6 months and with our crazy schedule we didn’t commit to those classes. We are so happy they offered the Jumpstart Clinic during summers. This is perfect for us to get some weeks of consecutive classes for him. The instructor has been been so patient with him so far and he has already learned a lot in 4 days.As a teacher, I appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into their programming. I can see how the exercises and skills they do within the 30 minutes are carefully planned to promote success among the swimmers.I also appreciate the fact that they are still requiring people to wear masks regardless of vaccination status in order to ensure that our children are safe.We look forward to our son continuing to thrive and learn at this swim school and hope to introduce our expecting baby to the school at three months.

Our 10 month old has been going for a couple of months now. She is already so much more comfortable in the water and we can’t wait to see her progress.

We are loving our experience at Goldfish Swim School! My child is in the baby/toddler swim classes and we are relieved to have a fun, engaging activity that gets us out of the house each week.The precautions in place are great and make me feel safe - I wear a face shield when I take my child into the pool for lessons.I know my child is soaking up so many new skills because they have started splashing their arms and legs during bath time when we sing the songs from our lesson.If you are on the fence about whether or not this is something you should do with/for your child, I encourage you to at least check it out. The classes for the baby/toddler age are fun and energizing and offer a great way to connect with your child through physical activity!

We love everything about Goldfish - the setup, instructors, staff, curriculum. They are top notch! We are so happy with our daughters progress since she started swim lessons.

They are doing an incredible job keeping the parents and the kids safe. Continuing to implement masks and social distancing for the safety of the kids is a commitment to them. You guys are the best.

We appreciate all the steps that you and your staff are taking to ensure that students were able to return to lessons safely. The requirement to wear masks, lane markers for students to change, assigned seating that is spaced apart and the sanitization of the areas and changing rooms in between classes take a lot of effort ad time on your staffs part but we have seen them always do it with a smile. You have made us feel safe in an relatively small indoor space. Thank you for all you have done. We appreciate your keeping the staff as well as students and their families safe. Thank you!

The instructors are amazing! My daughter is finally getting over her fear of water all thanks to her instructor, Ian! As far as safety precautions, they are keeping everything sanitized and keeping social distancing. Such an amazing place to take your child for swim lessons!

We love the precautions in place and that we dont have to worry when we come for class! My son LOVED jumping back into that pool this month! The teachers and staff are always so friendly and take care of us.

Fantastic place for teaching little ones to swim. We have been bringing our baby here since she was 6m old.Teachers are great with the kids. At the infant and toddler level it is mostly about getting them comfortable in the water and instilling instincts so water safety.Facilities are very clean, lots of small nice touches included. Hair dryers, changing rooms, wipes, shampoo, etc.The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly. The provide top notch service here.Only downside is all that comes at a price. I wish it was a bit cheaper, but at the same time operating a place like with as many lifeguards, teachers, and support staff is not cheap. It is very much worth the money.

The staff is wonderful and incredibly responsive. We have been coming since before our daughter was one year old. She has grown in her swimming skills and confidence. We were an original charter family in the (then) new Wicker Park location, and we will be staying for years to come!

Love the atmosphere and the swim teachers great with the kids. My three kids enjoy it especially because the water is warm. I like the waiting area where I can watch my kids swimming class in progress.

Fantastic spot for kids swim lessons. My 3 year old son has been coming here since he was one doing weekly lessons for the past year. He can swim short lengths under water, do safety floating and just in general loves the water now. The staff are all awesome and the facility is clean and has everything for kids.

Tried a new class today...no parent in pool...for my almost 3 year old. Despite tears, he got in, all thanks to a wonderful, patient and caring staff (shout out to George, Sophie and the young man who calls out the classes). Additionally, the phone staff helped set up the new class seamlessly. I always leave Goldfish feeling positive and grateful that my son has such an amazing place to learn the very important life skill of swimming! - Feeling grateful!

They have done a great job making this a covid friendly activity. Instructors do a great job teaching new learners.

This is a great place to learn how to swim. They have small classes with friendly and knowledgeable coaches. The staff is very accommodating and help with your schedules and necessities. I love the environment, pool and changing facilities. All around one of the best experiences for me and my kids!! The small class sizes enables the coaches to teach in an individualized manner that promotes safety and learning how to swim in a warm pool and inviting manner. My kids learned to swim and had a lot of fun doing it! Highly recommend!!!

Have been very pleased with the dedicated coaches especially Gabby, Elias & now Mary who have given exceptionally attention & support coaching my girl to have come this far (swim force) especially with just one class a week. I am positive the other coaches are just as brilliant & I am happy with the way the school has conducted lessons tailoring accordingly to each childs needs. Wonderful job coaches!!

Really nice facility, super friendly staff. My son enjoys coming here to learn to swim and we all get to enjoy family swim, which is especially nice in the dead of winter. My only complaint is the parking spaces are spaced way too close together. Got my first door ding on my brand new car here.

We have been going to Goldfish for our daughter and son for 3 years now, first at the Roscoe Village location and now in Wicker Park. We highly recommend this swim school. All of the instructors are well trained and really nice, the kids love them. The staff is great, helpful and courteous. The facilities are clean and well laid out. The pool is clean and most importantly warm which makes the whole experience really easy for the kids. Even the pool room is warm so when they get out they arent cold. The operation is run like a well oiled machine!

Goldfish is very accommodating to the needs of the families. Love that there is a life guard and supervisors around the pool besides the instructors. Love the last 5 minutes where you get to go & observe the class. Love the small class size.

I love the small classes. I have friends who have told me that Park district classes are pretty big, and in my 3 year old daughters class, the most children that have been in that class are 4. Each class has 4 children or less which is great. The swimming instructors are great. Really loved the way Coach Derek and Coach Claudia have worked with my daughter and I appreciate that they are patient with the children yet make the class fun for the kids.

Instruction has been outstanding and consistent. My son really enjoys swim force. It is a great introductory swim team. He is building his skills and endurance but it does not feel intimidating. Thank you!

We’ve tried a few other swim schools, however, Goldfish has exceeded our expectations. Not only are the class sizes small with amazing instructors, but the environment and space overall is comfortable, inviting and conducive to a swimmers and family’s needs. Way to crush the competition!

We recommend GoldFish to everyone we know, both in Chicago and in other areas that there is a goldfish school. The kids love getting in the water because it is so warm, the teachers are great at teaching as well as being empathic if a child isnt feeling it that day, the make up policy is wonderful, and the facilities are always clean with friendly staff. Our kids have only every done swim lessons at Goldfish and better swimmers than all of their friends their own age that have taken lessons at other places!

The staff here is fabulous. Always helpful and patient. The facility and structure of the program are terrific. My youngest boys have learn to swim so much younger the my older sons and it has been so great to enjoy summer days in the water knowing they have basic water safety skills under their belts!

Gabby (manager), Dorothea (front desk), and our teacher Laura (mini 3) are the ultimate professionals—always. Calling them patient and kind would be the the most drastic understatements. We are so grateful to share this experience with them.

Great place! Excellent service! My 2 years old son loves his class. Everything is perfect!

1) The pool could be warmer, didn’t feel like 90 degrees. For babies it’s cold.2) Water didn’t seem very clear.However we didn’t check other swim schools so can’t really compare to others.

Great facility and wonderful instruction...especially Joelle. He was very patient with our 3 year old son who was very nervous about entering the water. But he turned our sons fear into joy. He didnt want the lesson to end! Very orderly and aesthetically pleasing. Well definitely be back.

We love coming to Goldfish because our sons teacher and staff are so friendly and supportive. You can tell that each person genuinely cares about the progress and safety of each student. Our son loves the water and looks forward to swimming class each Sunday.

Everything here is great! The instructors, the knowledgeable staff at the front desk. The facilities, especially the heated pool.

Our little girl loves the water so what better place than Goldfish to enroll her in? We were jumping for joy when we found out that they were opening up a location near us. When there were some delays in when classes would start they were very proactive in calling and emailing us and keeping us up to date. My daughter is having a great time learning and she always wants to come back from more. They have a certain style when it comes to teaching swimming and the class sizes are perfect. Shes in the junior level and she gets a lot of 1:1 time because of the size of the class. Everyones very friendly and hospitable which makes going there even better.Side note: perhaps its just me, but I wish they had more signage outside of their parking lot because I passed it up the first time getting there..in the winter months its a bit hard to see since it gets dark so quickly.

Instructors are all so great with the kids. Front desk is so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend Goldfish for all kiddos!

We are on our 3rd week here, we transferred from the Roscoe Village Goldfish and so far my boys are loving it and so am I. Staff is very friendly, and instructors very loving and patient with the children. The building is clean and well taken care of, I totally recommend this Goldfish Swim School!!!
