Such a positive experience all around ! Both of my daughters love Mrs. French ( my younger daughter isn’t even her student yet 😬). It’s obvious Mrs. French loves teaching. She is fun but also encourages hard work which for my daughter has resulted in an eager student who loves music and grows in her piano skills week to week. We look forward to the frequent recital opportunities! I can’t recommend Hyde Park Piano Studio enough.

In addition to providing first-rate piano instruction, Youngwon builds their confidence and character as she teaches. She celebrates their accomplishments and encourages them to do their best as they refine their technique and skills.

Youngwon French has been so wonderful at teaching my kids piano! My son was 7 when he started. He learns best when he understands how things work. Ms. French identified this in his learning style and stopped during one of his first lessons mid-lesson to explain to him how the piano was built and let him watch the strings in the back of the piano as she played. I was so impressed at her perceptiveness. My kids love Ms. French!

Weve been through a number of teachers now and we will stop here! Mrs. French is everything a teacher should be. Im quoting straight from my two children who take lessons from her- shes patient, fun, she gets me allowing kids to find their potential, explore, and keep piano fun and cool - even if youre an 11 yr old boy athlete! Shes so patient. I need to say that again - so patient. Shes encouraging, never critical or judgmental and yet she pushes and drives kids to be all they can be. I could go on and on!

I am grateful that I found Mrs. French to be my daughters piano teacher. She has a way of catering to ones abilities and slowly eased my daugther into reading musical notes. My daughter started this past summer and can see the progress she has made. She looks forward to her lessons with Mrs. French every week!

I am incredibly happy that my daughter has Youngwon French as her piano teacher! In a short period of time, Youngwon has taught my 9 year old the bass and treble clef, the names and locations of the notes on the keyboard and on the staff, timing, dynamics, chords and much more. Above this, Youngwon has helped my daughter arrive at a love of music, a desire to practice and persevere and the confidence to perform in front of an audience. All of this in less than one year!
