They let my kids run around the store and play keyboards while I tested out guitars and didnt say a word! Plus, Sean Murphy was very accommodating. Location was out of the way for us, but I didnt mind driving for great service. Its so very rare these days, its worth writing about when it actually happens. Thanks Sam Ash.

The size of the store is amazing and there is something there for every musician and music lover. My husband and I were enjoying the acoustic guitar section but had to.leave the area due to an unhappy employee that was upset about having to complete a purchase transaction for a customer because another employee was leaving early. He mentioned that all managers treat their staff poorly. This employee was just nasty, petty and all of us in the room had to hear about it....and he works for commission...🤷‍♀️. We will try another store to purchase a guitar

They have a wide selection of instruments of the various sorts and a large variety. The store is done with a Greek name, the workers are friendly and very helpful Kevin and Ian were very helpful in the purchase of a few new toys LOL and Kevin says that he just loves working there a place where you can call home. When you work a job that you enjoy its not working at all

Great selection of keyboards and a fun, chill place. Definitely a curiosity in the area worth visiting even just to looky-loo. Huge, professional music store that would hold its own compared to any music store out there.

I visited the Clearwater Fl. Sam Ash store looking for a nice acoustic guitar. I talked to an associate by the name of Sean Murphy and he give me a great deal on a new Taylor acoustic/electric guitar. The store was very nice and all the associates were very friendly. From now on Sam Ash will be my first choice for all my guitar needs.

I was in Sam Ash on Friday evening and met Sean Kelly, one of the Guitar Dept. Salesman. This guy is a truly talented musician. He was showing me the BlackstarSilver line 100 Watt amp. It was really great to talk with a true musician about theory, modes, jazz, and classical music. I remember being a kid and going to music stores and learning from the people working there. That hasnt happened in a very long time. So grateful to see a music store employing great musicians again!

My experience at Sam Ash Music is excellent. The customer service reps are always very helpful and find exactly what you need help with. I really like it over there at Sam Ash. When they say come in and play, they literally mean it. I’ve been playing flute now for 20 years, and have gotten my Flute at Sam Ash, and also a small SOPRANINO recorder there as well. Yesterday, I purchased a $200 keyboard at Sam Ash and I am really looking forward to it.

I had a great experience purchasing my new Bass. it was kind of busy in store so i just asked for a cable so i could plug in. eventually the salesperson made it to me and when he did, he went out of his way to take care of my need (brought new batteries for the active pickups, offered to adjust the neck on one of the used items, etc.) I will definitely be visiting the store again in the future

Love the Clearwater location. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, surprisingly well stocked post COVID. Very laid back as far as not minding instruments being tried out for long periods of time during the sometimes lengthy decision making process. Comfortable chairs and very clean bathrooms. Our family has been shopping here for a few years now and it has always been a must visit and worthwhile trip.

Went to trade my gear in, I wont say exactly what, but there were 3 pieces of audio equipment. To make a long story short, I feel that I got supremely low-balled.Average price used on eBay, is $140, for one item, they gave me $47, then the average for the other two items are $240....they gave me $90. So basically I paid full price for (over $500) for the 3 items I purchased from them, because the tax ($140) ate the trade in offer. I usually float back n forth between Sam Ash & Guitar Center, for over 12 years now, but Sam Ash, just lost me as a customer. If I didnt absolutely need the equipment, Id take it back.Buyer Beware😔

Corey is an awesome instructor. He is patient and fun. I like that he goes by my own pace in learning how to play the guitar. He is funny and teaches you how to play music that you listen to everyday, not out of a book, where learning stays exciting and keeps your interest with fresh music. He has positive vibes and gives guidance when I am discouraged. Every one of the staff members are pleasant and helpful.

Teacher was great. Son really enjoyed his first lesson and is looking forward to more lessons. Scheduling lessons could be easier but that is really my only criticism. Retail service is also awesome. Sales staff are very knowledgeable and ready to help. Everyone has been super helpful and friendly.

The store itself is a piece of art! We love going here not only for the vast array of instruments and gear, but also for the renaissance themed architecture and the beautiful décor and design of what used to be an extravagant restaurant and inn during the 1950s. The very large Kapok tree out front allegedly was brought to America from India as a sapling and was planted in the 1870s! Its certainly a land mark - we know we are getting close when we can start to see the top of the tree from far away (before the building is in site!)This location has LOTS of goodies including a huge hall for percussion, guitar rooms, keyboard/dj equipment, stage design, and much much more. They even offer lessons! Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and there to assist you if you need it.Not only do they have your typical instruments such as guitars, drums, keyboards; they also carry classical instruments such as the cello and violin. The selection and variation is great!Things to consider:Allot yourself extra time as its easy to get caught up in all the goodies.If its raining or has rained recently, the parking lot may flood in some areas. It is however, a very large parking lot with ample amounts of spaces.

Waited 25 minutes to check out the kapok location on tuesday 8/10/21 around 4pm. I just had a pack of picks and a string winder. Associate was very disorganized and was struggling to buy a guitar from a customer, was the only one working the guitar section. Manager on duty pointed out he was not wearing a mask, so associate covered his face with his hand until manager walked away then continued helping same customer maskless. Also overheard him complaining to this customer he hates working retail and how terrible some customers can be. Im also upset at the dwindling selection and not having floor models I can play, they are all behind the counter now. Went over to Guitar Center and prices were more fair, employees a plenty and professional.

Sean and Chris in the guitar department were great helping us pickup our guitars. Chris even stayed late with me. That was much appreciated! The store is massive. The staff are always helpful. This is my go to music store. You wont be disappointed.

The new guitar tech was phenomenal and fixed my dads bass for me! It was in pretty bad shape but it plays beatuifully now!

Love the store but the guitar sales person on Tuesday afternoon was uninspired and disinterested. The person seemed to have other things on his mind than helping someone look for an instrument. Frequently just left the sales area with no one to help customers. I felt like I was bothering him to get service.

One of the few remaining stores where you can look through all the bins of music books, as opposed to online where you often have to take a chance of not getting what you want. Always helpful and friendly staff and they definitely stand by their promise of matching online competitors when purchasing instruments and music equipment there. I normally give a 5 star rating. I understand it is necessary to cut back on expenditures in these times, however, if stock is not replenished in a timely manor, business is lost, consumers look elsewhere. Where are all the Epiphone acoustic guitars? Kawai keyboards are non existent. Thus, the four stars. I will always shop for my piano music there.

I took my mom in to buy a guitar and was told by a friend to ask for Rochford. He took his time with my elderly mother and helped her make a great selection that she is very happy with.

Had a really great experience in this store growing up. As of late they’ve been short staffed having you wait a literal half hour just to try out an instrument that is behind the register. Additionally, a sales representative by the name of Sophia had me waiting just about a week and did not reach back out to me on the scheduled day she was supposed to call me for the purchase of an almost $1,000 instrument. No apologies were given, just one massive broken telephone with her and her manager was the excuse given. Time to find a different shop.

Manager named Danny decided that he would pick on my colleagues financial situation when he was coming in to store just because he was having a bad day. In the middle of a pandemic where lots of people are in financial hardship I feel its in very poor taste. I will not be shopping there again and I suggest anyone with a decent moral compass does the same.

If I could I would give this place over five stars over 10 Stars over 20 Stars. I dont know what my kids will be doing if they didnt have Cory teaching them how to play the drums and the guitar. He is an awesome teacher who cares and loves his students and loves to see them succeed and want them to succeed and get better. I love the part where he tells my sons that they are worth it. They are worth the time HIS time. Because it really boostes up their self-esteem. But even though sometimes they dont see it cory does brings out the best in both of my boys. And you want to know something Corys worth it too he is worth every Saturday. Anybody small big that wants to learn how to play the guitar, drums and piano Cory is your teacher doesnt matter how small or how big you are if you want to learn come to Sam Ash theyll teach you.

I picked up a used bass recently at the Clearwater, FL store, my first time in a Sam Ash since I was in NYC many years ago. Its an amazing store, good selection of new and used gear. I was impressed that Chris, who manages the guitar department, took the time to tweak the truss rod and improve the action considerably, all this for an inexpensive used bass. I will return and buy something more expensive.

I was told immediately to leave because of my medical exemption. Said it was store policy. He was rude and disrespectful.Sam Ash isnt the cheapest retailer. If I have to buy online, Ill buy from someone else. Easy.Sam Ash just lost a customer.Ill make a nice little burial plot for them next to Amazon and Guitar Center

So usually the store is great but this time i felt bad because the one employee that helped me this day was basically the only staff on the floor of the entire store and had to split his time between every customer that was there at the time due to being way understaffed - and he did a great job all things considered-The guitars are tried this day were in desperate need of a set up so i did not get a decent feel for the playability so no sale was made there- but this employee did take time to do a little maintenance on the couple guitars i tried soSEAN at mcmullen booth store DESERVES A RAISE.

Had them restring the E string on my violin, and had them restring all 4 strings on my ukulele. $30 bucks, plus buying the stings. Reasonable! Also bought some Beatles sheet music, a guitar strap, violin cleaner etc. Very happy. Awesome selection. Knowledgeable Staff. Highly recommend.

Great place for music lovers who wish to buy musical instruments. Great selection, with the ability to sample instruments prior to buying. Sam Ash has been around for close to 100 years. They also offer lessons. The only negative, is the place is so large, which is fantastic, but may be difficult to get the eye of a sales person. Great place to check out!

I brought in my 25 year old classical guitar in for trade. I have two, the other, a far more expensive and I didnt need two. I joined a band to play for nursing homes for free and needed a new guitar with a pick up. Sam Ash was very patient and I appreciate doing business with them. Here I am playing my old classical with with my new Taylor beside me.

Very disappointed, we have tried to visit retail businesses during this very difficult time for them to support our local businesses. We were looking for a specific gift for our son. When we asked an associate they pointed and said we could find it over there..... they are not marked so we could not find what we were looking for. We waited at least 15 minutes trying to find someone to help us. They were not interest. we left to take our business elsewhere.

Called them to get a hard to find item around Christmas. The local store checked all their surrounding stores and found the item a couple hours away. They shipped it for free to my house. Amazing customer service.

Dan a store manager in Clearwater Florida found me a slightly used Korg Grandstage 73 keyboard with soft case in Texas.... and Ian in the Keyboard and Recording dept took care of the rest of the trade and purchase details. About a 1640. total purchase. Ian was fast with the order and I had the keyboard at my door in 3 days as promised condition.They both took care and I was happy Not to have deal with one of the McMusic chain stores to deal locally and with a long established family started business.Thanks again guys.

Floor staff was always helpful and friendly, whether I called in or came in . I tookmy guitar in for cleaning, set up and new strings. Lots of guitars in the work area and nowI see why. Kyle is an excellent repair technician, taking time to explain what he believes the service will entail; also stating he would call to let me know if he found other issues. Upon pick, Kyle again explained what he had done to the guitar. Sound beautiful. Great service!
