This school is FANTASTIC!! Our little boy went here for his first year at preschool and had a wonderful experience with great teachers and kind peers. We drove 30 minutes each way so that he could attend here. He benefited greatly in practical skills, and also gained social confidence as he had the opportunity to work with friends in his class and participate in circle time. His teacher, Ms. Marge was amazing and so patient and loving to all the children. The cost was much less than other private Montessori schools, and really worth it. After the year we moved to Denver and found that the cost for private Montessori is 3x what it was at Buena Vista. We recommend this school to anyone in Colorado Springs!

After a childhood lingering between catholic and traditional public school, I decided I wanted something else for my son... something better..The school has been tremendous already for his growth, development and self sufficiency! We are truly pleased to have the opportunity to send our kids to Buena vista! :)

Disappointed in this school. The Montessori curriculum and values are not supported by the district. Traditional, mainstream teaching methods are being forced upon the school by a district administration which doesnt understand this method of learning. Although the staff is friendly and caring, there are definitely some improvements that needs to be made. It would be a wise choice if BV was converted to a charter school. I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone looking for a true Montessori education.

After living in town for 15 years, my husband and I moved to the West Side so that our kids could attend the Montessori program at Buena Vista. Our daughter is in first grade and her third year at BV. The Montessori method has taught her so much more than academics -- she is also learning valuable conflict-resolution skills! When I get upset with her, shell bring me the Peace Rose and ask if we can talk about the issue -- this is an idea she got from BVs Montessori method. I look forward to our son being old enough to go to preschool there!

This school was not what we had experienced in other montissori schools, in fact quite the opposite. No support from the principle, teachers, or Assitant teachers when issues arose and talked about on multiple occasions, bullying, and harrassments regarding Colorado vaccine exemption laws. Not for us.
