The Charlotte location is the best in the country. Well worth the investment! Would highly recommend to anyone interested in becoming a pilot. Great location with great instructors.

PART 2 OF Mohammed Elasmars STORYNow stage check time comes around. I took my stage check with the LEAD instructor. I unsurprisingly failed because none of the previous instructors taught me non-precision approaches which were required on the stage check. He told me thats not my problem and that now I will be terminated from the program. I called the training support manager and explained to him what happened that led me to this point he told me by law you have another try in completing the stage check he then told me your new instructor is now the lead instructor and that I have a week for the lead to instruct me and show me how the approaches and pretty much the whole program that would otherwise take three months they told and gave me a time frame of 1 week when I agreed with the training support manager because also its gonna be tough I knew myself I would get it down then I went to the lead instructor and asked when we will I be starting the retraining sense I only had a time frame of one week he then full heartedly point blank told me he don’t teach and he gave me the date for my test and told me to study myself so the upcoming week i was only practicing by myself because the lead instructor didnt want to practice anything with me so i couldnt take the plane and I was only left to simulate on the simulator. Now its the day of the stage check the plane I was supposed to fly was already scheduled for the whole day for someone else and finally after the lead instructor being an hour late he shows up and off the bat he canceled my stage check because he said i have a mustache but from day 1 ive had a mustache and nobody told me to cut it or it was unprofessional witch means he already made up his mind to cancel my stage check and terminate my program. I then called the training support manager and explained to him everything that happened to me in the past week he then apologized and said he will come to that location and meet you face to face so the time came to meet face to face both me and my parents took time off work to meet him when we called him because he was late he told me that hes on vacation and that this matter is not important and that we can handle it over the phone and at this point im not enrolled in the program anymore but they still took the money for the instrument rating that i DID NOT GET and the commercial ratting that i didnt even get to yet so then i asked him for a refund for everything because I didnt get any ratings or any knowledge from this school in fact they robbed me for my time and money so he gave me 3,000 dollars out of a total of 25,000 dollars that i still dont know what they where spent on i was only there for about a month and a half I emailed the training support manager again telling him to email me a balance sheet so i can see how they blew off 25,000 dollars in a month in a half its been almost a year now and i still havent heard anything from in fact 2 weeks ago i tried to call him and he blocked my number so i called him on my brothers phone and he picked up on the first ring and we discussed refunding me in full and he said that he will send this request out tonight to the financial department so i called them a week later and they told me the training support manager did not leave any notes or anything pertaining to this matter so i then called him again on my brothers phone and he also blocked his number as well so i emailed him and im still not hearing back from him pretty much all of this could have been solved if the training support manager just did his job. I am now pursuing a legal case against ATP and the training support manager because this is unexceptable I have voice recordings,dates,whitnesis and also names for everything that went down i will take all of this so a news station along with filing a lawsuit against them along with reporting them to the Federal Aviation Administration.I am now fully rated instrument commercial pilot two months after leaving ATP no thanks to them at all which proves everything they do is bad and without care.

Hey Im Mohammed Elasmars brother and Im completely disappointed with the actions ATP took to TRY to solve the problem my brother had with them the money part is not even the issue my brothers health is ATP made him depressed and lost Im just glad we passed through this step in his life well and hes onto bigger and better things now completely commercial and instrument rated on his own no thanks to ATP

The management at ATP is appalling, especially at this particular location. I went through ATP for my ratings and instructed for them and Ive personally witnessed the mistreatment of students and instructors. You can ask any current or former student and many of them will have negative experiences to share, or have witnessed poor treatment of other students or instructors. The regional manager makes every effort to push students through the program as fast as possible, even if the student is ahead of schedule. I instructed here for 7 months and there was a very high turnover rate for instructors in that time (and not because they got their hours). The regional manager/training supporter has his hands in everything and in my experience is not overseen by anyone. He was in charge of an investigation into the mistreatment and defamation of a colleague and I in our last few weeks working for ATP, yet he was directly involved in what occured. No action was taken.In training they preached all about their core values, with Consistent Professionalism and Customer Satisfaction being the main two, but from what I witnessed and experienced they dont actually practice those values. Based on other recent reviews it sounds like that hasnt changed.Just know that once they have your money you are 100% expendable.The only instruction Ill be doing for ATP is instructing people to go the other way -former ATP student

I’ve been a student here for a few months. I came into the school with my private pilots license and this program is above and beyond my first flight school. My instructor (Al) is very knowledgeable and cares about giving the best quality of training possible. It is a fast paced program and that demands hard work. If you’re willing to put in the work this is the place for you!

I registered to take a drone exam through A.T.P. and was told I needed to arrive at 7:45am for the 8:00am exam. The testing administrator for my exam did not arrive until nearly 10:00am. The other individuals on site were all very friendly, but politeness only goes so far when I had to take an extra two hours off work because the administrator did not show up on time.

Stopped in ATP to take an FAA certification test and I was highly impressed by everyone there. I first went in the incorrect door, seemingly right into someones office who was having a meeting. He kindly stopped what he was doing and gave friendly directions.Everyone at the testing and education center (next door) was super friendly. And the very nice woman with whom I dealt to facilitate my test was very efficient while explaining all the steps.I also spoke with some of the flight trainers while in some dead time and they all seem to love what they do and appear good at it!If youre looking for a great place to train and get certified in fixed wing aviation or need to take a CATS/PSI/etc. test, I highly recommend ATP! They get customer service!

At the actual location everyone there is extremely nice and knowledgeable. I spoke with them a few times as I explored different locations that would be a good fit. I let them know that I found another school which schedule and cost fit a lot better with my life currently and that while I may use them for certificates or for continuing education, getting a private license from this other school was the only realistic choice for me at the moment. they were all very understanding.However shortly after I received a call from the cooperate office of ATP and the way they spoke to me was nothing short of appalling. The person on the phone continually bashed the company I chose without knowing a thing about them, including which school it was. After telling me the school I chose (he didn’t know the name because I had never mentioned it and he didn’t ask) didn’t maintain their equipment and they don’t have well trained instructors he finished by saying, and I quote “when your plane goes down we will still be there”Insinuating that someone’s plane is going to crash is a pretty disgusting tactic to try to sell you on their program. Because of that call I am no longer considering using atp at all for my commercial license.I’d just be careful when considering this company. Locally they are about the nicest people you could ever meet, but my few interactions with corporate have been extremely unpleasant.

Good guys but youll be trained to pass the check-ride and not to be an actual good pilot.
