We had the best experience at Goddard Concord. Three years ago we relocated to the Charlotte area and we will never forget the welcoming kindness and support we found in our Goddard Concord Family. The teachers, staff and on site owners are exceptional. My son and my daughter were incredibly prepared for Kindergarten and next step, and this is no doubt attributed to the robust curriculum and creative learning environment they fostered. We are so grateful to John and the team at Goddard Concord, my children are better people as a result of their positive, loving and kind influence. You will be very remiss not to consider enrolling with this incredible school and team - you will not regret it!

We initially chose Goddard based on its location when we moved into the area, but after four years I can highly recommend the school based on the overall quality of the experience. Our son was always safe, loved, and nurtured while at Goddard. He has grown and learned so much, and he is well prepared for Kindergarten. It was a difficult decision to keep him out of school when the pandemic began, and a difficult decision to allow him to return. However, I am confident that the precautions they took kept the children healthy and provided a sense of normalcy for them and their families.

My family is relocating to the Charlotte area. We were in town to tour places to live and childcare facilities. While driving, we saw that Goddard was in close proximity to a potential living space. We stopped in, without an appointment. It was nap time for the kiddos and lunch time for the staff - clearly not an ideal time for a tour. Jennifer and the front desk staff greeted and welcomed us with open arms. They provided us a lay of the land. I’m extremely grateful for the warm welcome, even without an appointment AND during staff lunch break. The facility is very inviting. I was also impressed by the “Culture Week” sign-up sheets I saw attached to each classroom door. Though we didn’t meet any teachers, we were impressed by the facility. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Absolutely DO NOT enroll at the Goddard School in Edison Square. Long story short- my daughter was enrolled in full time preschool there at age 3 and started having separation anxiety, was incredibly fearful and would not let me go when dropped off to her teacher, and would come home with mysterious marks and bruises. About a month later I got a phone call from the school that a substitute filling in for the assistant teacher witnessed and reported gross neglect and harmful behavior to the children at the hands of the main teacher- Ms. Robin. Among many other children my daughter was specifically included in the report, and the substitute witnessed my daughter who was playing with toys near her (the sub) and the main teacher stormed over to my daughter, grabbed her under the arms and ripped her from the carpet, yelled “SHE is NOT going to play with you. GO PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS” and threw her to another place on the carpet to play with children vs the sub. After the report was brought to light, the main teacher was temporarily suspended during investigation. But the usual assistant teacher, who was family with and clearly exposed to/supportive of the treatment taking place by the teacher in the classroom, remained there and we were asked to return our daughter to that teacher like nothing had happened. When I spoke with other parents in the class later on, I learned that no other parents had been informed that the teacher had been mistreating their children (unless specifically referenced in the substitute’s report) and were told the teacher had left to pursue other things. All in all, we felt like failures as parents for thinking we invested in a 5 star childcare facility who did all the right things but in the end, failed our child. I would absolutely not recommend this facility to anyone.

I have a 20 month old and a 3 year old that started with Goddard almost a year ago. I wish that both my boys had started with this amazing school from infancy. The owners of the school opened their school up for our family to tour at a moments notice and my husband and I instantly fell in love. Bright spacious rooms that were CLEAN. Very well thought out room decor with all sorts of learning toys, and a safe outdoor playground environment. Needless to say I was back the next day to talk about enrollment, and got to meet the incredible staff. Warm and loving teachers, with a school director that was welcoming and focused on the childrens education. I couldnt have received a better feeling, and even after enrollment, the feeling still remains a year later. LOVE the dedicated and smart teachers, amazed with the cleanliness (my children have never been sick with more than a seasonal cold since weve been here), highly respect the schools Owners and Director, excited about the daily activity report sent via phone app & email, and very impressed with the overall communication and safety measures the school takes on every level.HIGHLY recommend this Goddard school to any family. My children are very happy there as well. :)

My daughter loves this place! Every morning she is looking forward to going and loves to tell us what she did during her day. All of the kids in her class are always smiling and enjoying themselves. The teachers are very warm and friendly which provide a safe and encouraging learning environment. The staff and owners take their time with me and make me feel welcome every time I walk through the door. This investment is worth every penny!

As parents, we cant say enough great things about The Goddard School of Concord (Highland Creek) location! Our daughter started attending here when she was 3 months old and now just had her 4th birthday. She loves going to school and we have seen her transform before our eyes as she has learned so much from all the amazing teachers and staff! Everybody that works there has really treated her like one of the family, always making her feel welcome and loved. John and Mandy Cash are wonderful owners who are involved, supportive and care so much for all the kids that come through their doors. I’d highly recommend this Goddard School to any family. You wouldn’t regret it!

My family searched months for the perfect daycare for my daughter and WE FOUND IT! This daycare is hands down the best in Charlotte/Concord area!! Not only is the daycare super clean and beautiful, the teachers and owners really teach your children and they care! My child is 3 years old- just last night, she taught me the entire alphabet..IN SIGN LANGAUAGE!!! Since my daughter was just 2 years old, she has amazed me by knowing her months of the year, days of the week (English & Spanish), alphabet, counting (English & Spanish), sign language and the list goes on. We are so thankful to the owners for being selective with the teachers and really considering the students and the parents when making decisions. I recommend this daycare to everyone!

My 17 month old goes to this school and has been since she turned one. We love this school and highly recommend it! I toured 10 different daycares before I finally found the Goddard School at Highland Creek. I cant say enough good things about this place! We are so happy she was able to get a spot here in the Monkeys class. Everyone is so wonderful from the owners, the director, Meg at the front desk, her teachers, Ms. Karen, Ms. Taylor, and Ms. Annavel. It is such a peace of mind to know that she is well cared for and learning so much. She is so excited and runs to her teachers at drop off. The rooms are bright and inviting, the kids and teachers are always engaged and happy. The playground is perfect. No playground mulch, only soft surfaces and grass and a huge awning to protect from the sun and perfectly age appropriate, safe equipment. I also love getting pictures of her with her daily updates in my email. It is so great how easy it is to communicate with the staff and how they are always readily accessible whenever I have needed anything or if I wanted to call and check on my baby. This is a wonderful school!

The Goddard School of Concord is wonderful. The owners are involved and supportive of the great teaching staff. I have been a Goddard Parrent for 6 Years. My kindergartener was more than prepared for school and my 2 year old thrives there. Our family loves John and Mandy Cash and Goddard.

John and Mandy have been very resourceful when it comes to handling concerns big and small.

Great pre-school! Our son loves to go to The Goddard School of Concord. The teachers, director and owners are very friendly and take great care of our son.Their program is focused on learning through play and has worked great for our son. The curriculum teaches a wide variety of topics like language, music and cognitive skills. They have a weekly theme and the activities are based on this weekly theme. The school encourages parent participation through parent meetings. I highly recommend this pre-school to anyone in the Concord area.

The Goddard School located in north Charlotte / Concord, NC area is an excellent pre-school that has a high standard of education and a creative style of learning which is exciting for the children. Goddard is setting a foundation for my sons current education, life skills, confidence, social skills, cultural competence and prepares my son for excellence in higher education as well as in life.

Employees are thefts and owners and directors dont care about personal property being taken. Co worker stole $380 out of my wallet Monday and Im still waiting to hear feed back from office staff and owner. Owner wouldnt even talk to me about the situation. They are all family so I guess its ok!

While I wont dispute that it is a beautiful facility, as a parent, I would be concerned about the high teacher turn over rate.
