Master Norris is awesome. My daughter Ady loves coming here two times a week. Definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in improving there childs confidence and a good way to get the kids active.

Master Norris is awesome with all of the kids! And he takes the time to encourage each child individually and make them all feel so great. I love that in every class they start with a chant about being a good person! They also end the classes by telling your child what they did good in that session which I feel like has been so uplifting for my son. That’s all the emotional positives, there’s also so much physical fitness that is practiced in each session. Their training is difficult and impressive to watch for kids this young, and it’s always engaging! And purposeful. It’s overall an awesome experience and I would encourage everyone to try it.

I really love the values that they teach in addition to adding physical activity into their lessons. They are very family oriented and parents are encouraged and expected to participate. This has tremendous value for the student. My niece is 8 and this is the only activity that she does that I don’t have to fight her to do. She loves it and it has really helped her self esteem. This is a wonderful family run business that I whole heartedly recommend.

My son loves coming to martial arts. Master Norris is amazing with my son and has helped him gain core strength and also confidence. We cant wait to see what else he picks up from training here.

Master Scott always does an amazing job keeping our active little guy engaged, even during online classes. No easy feat! We appreciate that there are always strong values being taught during class that can be implemented off of the mat as well. AKF is helping to not only grow our childs physical strength and confidence, but aiding in his development of integrity and character as well. What more could you ask for?

We just started classes about 2 weeks ago and are so happy we did! Master and Mrs. Norris are incredible instructors, and are great/very patient with my high energy 4 year old. He spends the car ride home from each class beaming about the fun he had and/or the belt stripes he earned. Positive and fun environment with effective, meaningful teaching!

The Norris family are amazing. Of course they provide great physical activity using the practice and study of martial arts. It the most important factor: WHY the martial arts are studied is the main focus of their business. They promote positivity and emotional maturity and growth in all their students. This academy is a great mix of life lessons and physical activity. My daughter has been more confident, more open, and overall has a better attitude at home and at school because of what she’s been learning. The lessons easily translate to what the kids are going through and it doesn’t hurt that they learn some cool kicks and punches too! Highly recommend!!

My four year old loves coming to class. The owners go above and beyond to make sure you feel safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.

We have had my son at AKF for just over 3 years. He has ADHD. Master and Mrs. Norris go above and beyond to teach him physical and life skills while embracing who he is! We love AKF.

Friendly and my son loves them.

The Norrises do a great job training the children and actively involving them in the instruction. Over the past three years I have seen Kukydo turn inattentive, disorganized children into model students; all it took was time, patience, respect, and love from enthusiastic instructors. The change, in the students, from day one of instruction to even a few weeks is very noticeable and the stories the parents share attest to the positive instruction the children receive.

The Norrises are attentive and caring instructors. They teach great values with patience. My child has developed great self confidence this past year we have been a part of the AKF family.

The classes are back to back and too short. They need a small gap to allow kids to leave and others to get ready to start. Too often a class is cut short a few minutes because the previous class went slightly long. Normally this wouldnt be an issue but 30 minute classes is barely enough time to warm up and practice skills. They also want your child to promote every month which equates to another $35 a month on top of their high costs while it is not mandatory youll be guilt-ed into paying. I would shop around before choosing this dojo.

The Norriss treat everyone like family. My children and I have learned a lot from them and look forward to learning much more as we grow in our Kyuki-do training.

Excellent instruction and a positive environment. Additional classes in judo, jujitsu and hapkido are a great supplement to the kyukido curriculum.
