I️ literally drive one hour, down and back, just to train at this gym.Jiu-jitsu is not my career. The commute is inconvenient. And I could probably save a lot of time by just going to some local gym. Dropped in on a visit to town. Professor Rob was welcoming and taught an excellent detailed class. The gym was clean and well maintained. All the students were welcoming. Got in some great rolls during the open mat.Professor Dan also introduced himself. I’ll be back when I’m in town.

Best school in Dallas. Professor Rob ables Is a very chill and open-minded instructor who also cares greatly about your success. This school is welcoming from the moment you step a foot through the door and all the higher belts were very helpful on pointing out simple mistakes I was making and how to correct them.

I have been to several gyms around the country and this is by far my favorite. Top level instruction and friendly atmosphere. The black belts here are great instructors and the owner is the best to train with.

Amazing Gym. Recently moved to Dallas from Los Angeles and everyone is super welcoming. Great atmosphere. Great Instruction from Rob and the rest of the instructors. No Egos to be found. I have trained at Checkmat and Renzo Affiliates in the past and this is just another solid gym from a another legacy lineage.

Went today for my first class pretty impressed, humble your self really quickly but none of the politics or anything behind it. Guys explained what went wrong and what needed to be done, a very good friend and great fighter has been going here and he has been to places globally he recommend it and now I see why! Great instruction. We usually went over moves that linked coherently. Students and instructors were welcoming. Safe smooth rolling. I learned a variety of techniques.

Excellent place to train. Relaxed environment with all levels of students (novice to advanced, as well as instructors from other schools). Rob, Chelsah, and the coaches provide detailed instruction, keep it fun and entertaining.

The best sign of a good martial arts school is the skill level of the other students. I have never been to another school with so many quality practitioners. Great place to train.

This is my favorite place on the planet! I found MG Dallas by chance when I moved across the street. I knew it would be convenient and I could not make classes at my previous gym. I had no idea the life changes that would take place. Ive been training here 7 years now. This is the best technical teaching I have ever encountered of every gym I have been a member of. So theyll never get rid of me. Haha! The best part of this academy is that we have people from every walk of life. Whatever your goal or drive to be here is from working out to learning self- defense, a therapeutic outlet, kids class or a new hobby, its all here. Warning this may become the greatest thing that has ever happened to you. ♡ Training at Marcelo Garcia Dallas has taken me from a Blue Belt with no direction in life, to the best shape of my life, a clear career path in martial arts, a 2x World Champion, a pro Jiu Jitsu competitor, an instructor, a Black Belt, and a better person for everyone I meet in life and on this journey. Just a solid place to train Brazilian jiu jitsu. To me, the MOST important thing is the culture of a fitness facility or self defense school. Here, the students and instructors are as friendly and welcoming as they come. The BJJ classes were top notch. I would even recommend this place at the top of my list for martial arts classes for kids. Great place.

A real high level black belt (Rob) with legit arm attack teachings.

I had the privilege of rolling in a class at the Dallas Marcelo Garcia Dojo while on a short visit in the area. I can not say enough about how welcoming the Dojo was. The skill level was remarkably high across the board. Even though I was a visitor, Professor Rob Ables and his assistant instructors showed great effort to help me improve my technique. If I lived in Dallas, I would roll at Marcelo Garcia Dallas.
