I went to this school a couple of years a go, and I loved it. Im about to be a Junior as a magnet student at Skyline High School

Its a good school for children like kids who want to do something for your life

This is my last year at long and Its great most of the teachers are the best

This school is dusty, please someone buy a duster. all da dust was disgusting to be around :^/ plus one of the security boyZ stole my $30 polo hat >:^( also, put a sign up if you dont want skateboarders on the sidewalk instead of taking peoples up for no visible reason

I go to that school and its a really good school , the teachers are really nice. If you are coming to this school from 5th grade, you will injoy it.

Worst school the teachers bully you and its a really bad school in 7th grade i came out as gay and every single day was like going into a war zone i got constantly picked on and physically emotionally and verbally abused not only by 80% of the students but some of the teachers and even the disd security guards made fun of me i would go to the principal the couselor everybody crying my eyes out to help me they didnt want to do a damm thing i started getting deppresed and suicidal and anxiety and on top of that in 8th grade my dad got diagnosed with cancer i got no support at all this school was hell on earth for me besides what happened to me the teachers would pass you even if you failed the kids were so rude and disrespectful and ghetto its old school. But still some conditions would have been better .dont send your kids here its hell on earth

I am currently an 8th grader attending J L Long and I have been here all of this school year and for a brief period in 7th grade. Overall I am glad I attended this school. I didnt really learn anything whatsoever education wise, I havent done any work at home this entire year, (excluding projects) and I have really just coasted by the entire year. I did learn a lot about life and social skills. Although the school is bogged down by a lot of the issues of DISD, the teachers at long really seem to care and they have a passion for what they do.(most of them) (not mrs Greene) 😁 I am really lucky to have such great teachers this year like Mr. Boyd, Sim, Padgget (sorry if I spelled that wrong) Yeboah, and Ms. Johnson, Collier, and Horn. Overall, even though I despise pretty much 90% of the kids at the school (everyone is so fake) I enjoyed this year, and met some pretty good people.

I sent my son here (he happens to be of the feline species) and all of the faculty discriminated and oppressed him here; he was not allowed to receive a proper education from the people running this school, I am outraged by the prejudices people have against their furry friends.

Department of Special Education DOES NOT SERVE !!! It sucks. They dont return my calls. Carmen Hernandez is the Director / Head of the Special Education Department at that JL Long Middle School. They tell me to leave her message because she doesnt have a phone. How can you not have a phone? You havent called me back until now. You DO NOT have a designated teacher for your class already three weeks after the school year started and there is NO TEACHER yet. When it is one of the best specialized schools in Dallas they fill their mouths repeating that when it does not work.

To be the first day the main cardinal was very sharp, he did not know how to give me answers to my concerns, mothers of Special children, know their rights, remember to give this one to receive nobody is superior,
