My childs teachers are amazing! I am able to contact them through email and they update me on his grades and any missing work.

This schools administration and teachers put in adequate effort.The main problem is the atmosphere, and the student body itself.If youre not of Hispanic descent (more so Mexican), then ideally you wouldnt want to attend this school because some of the kids can be racist or unconcerned. And the school shows an obvious bias towards Hispanics and pretty much alienates itself away from African American, or Whites. Most of the students are unmotivated, academically and care more about whos talking to who. The student body doesnt aim to engage themselves in what theyre learning but instead just wants to get by. For example, when trying to learn in classrooms students ignore teachers, talk over them, have conversations, and this last one is the biggest issue: Phones. The phone usage in this school is almost like an epidemic - and its not the facultys fault. They enforce rules, the students just dont follow them.And the building is in need of a little remodeling. A potential reason why schools like Townview or Richardson ISD, or Highland Park performs better is because their school is newer. May seem like a nitpick but has a big impact on a students sense of pride attending a school and their attitude.

The staff and teacher were really helpful and would always try to help, even the disruptive students. The school isnt kept in the cleanest conditions the restrooms were always a mess, and like most schools the lunch is horrible. Besides that most teachers would always try to help students in any way.

The school is not all good but they have some good teachers like an algebra, English, and theater really care for the students and their future

Yeah but I.......one of my favorite singers/song writers/ actors, went to high school here.....yikes!
