The pool is very dirty and it not cleaned each day. It seems that the expense of pool maintenance is not a high priority. They pay 2-3 lifeguards to stay on duty at all times and they are usually not in shape and talk most of the shift. The head lifeguard/manager gossips to the staff and uses foul language while patrons are at the pool. I have first hand witnessed her arguing with two mothers during a swim lesson. She is not professional and should not be in this role, especially with special needs children.

The J is such a great place for our entire family!! I get to enjoy free fitness classes everyday as well as great tennis lessons with coaches Alex and Scott! My three boys play a sport everyday after school. Its very convenient for us. The J has become somewhat of a second home for them.Coach Julia is a particularly special trainer at the J. She has taken one of my children, who had very little interest in getting into shape and has turned him around. She has a special way of being able to reach each child and to connect with them in a way that is meaningful!! My son has gained so much from his private sessions with Julia!! She has become a very important part of his life and has helped him get healthier and stronger !! Thank you!!!!!!!

At 65 I envisioned an exercise program for myself but wasnt sure I could ever achieve it just going to the gym and using a lot of machines. With Julia Steiner as my personal trainer I got a perfect program designed for my age that focused on core, balance, strengthening. No machines, but rather a customized and ever changing program of training equipment tools and techniques. I never get bored; Im continuously challenged and motivated to be my best healthy and strong self. Julia is warm, personable and encouraging. A perfect match for my goals. She made my vision a reality that Im very grateful for. After more than a year Im strong (and healthy) plus I love the JCC. Its a fabulous gym with a caring and attentive staff and lots of great classes.

Where do I begin? There’s soo many amazing things I wanna say so I’ll make it as short as possible! My daughter goes to daycare here. Her teachers Taylor and Carine are just amazing! They go above and beyond and really made me comfortable and not have a worry in the world since the first day my daughter started daycare. If my daughter misses a day of school they always check up on us, they send pictures, let me know how much she ate, slept and console her when she cries. My daughter was tough at the beginning and cried because she wasn’t used to school but they truly did everything and now she loves it! Taylor and Carine are litterly her school mommies! Also, almost everyone is so kind and positive when I come everyday! They never miss a chance to tell me good morning or have a nice day. I just love this place and will be keeping my daughter here until high school if we stay here in Florida!! 💙

This is the WORST establishment! If you are a non-member, you will definitely be treated that way! In our experience with the sport of basketball-we found that this establishment teaches and promotes violence from the players (minors I might add) and by some of the coaches. Absolutely horrible! I witnessed a player verbally attack a parent and tried to attack her. When a complaint was made, this establishment blamed the victim. Recently, a coach from one of the basketball teams attacked a 15 year old boy (actually grabbed the kid and pushed him) and viciously came after him (witnessed that one too)...about 15 people tried to stop this guy. Again, nothing gets done! Nobody cares about the victim...by the way, the victim is a non-member! This place plays protects their own. I have never seen such a disgraceful portrayal of team sports! Even most of the refs dont know what they are doing-one ref made derogatory remarks to a grandparent and not even a phone call of apology has been made! I do not recommend this establishment to anyone-especially if you have children and you want your children to be respectful and moral citizens. This place is a disgrace!

Best preschool in town. Great teachers who care about my daughter. Top notch early education. My 4 year old daughter already uses iPads in school and knows how to write and recognize most letters and numbers. The classrooms are clean, well maintained and with the most appropriate toys and educational material for her age. They even have new toy kitchens and utensils and plenty of books. Mindy, the Principal is very professional and is always available to listen to parents. She holds monthly PTO meetings with parents and family events such as the last PJ party that was enjoyed by children and adults. The curriculum includes early math, literacy, science, computing, PE, music, and even karate and yoga. My daughter loves coming to the J. Its our extended family. Both my kids also attend camp at the J and sports and other extra curricular activities such as ballet, hip hop and Spanish. And I get to enjoy the fitness center with several classes on weekdays and weekends and even have free baby sitting if needed while working out.

Julia Steiner is the best trainer the J has to offer. Her workouts focus on functional fitness, which trains the bodys balance, strength and flexibility to keep us strong, supple and on our toes for life. She changes up her workouts weekly to keep her clients from getting bored. Clients who work with Julia are spoiled forever for any lesser trainer. She is the tops!

The David Posnack JCC is the best community center ever! I work out there 5 days a week. I take a variety of different classes, and the instructors are amazing! I have been working out at the DPJCC for about 4 years, and can say that I consider this place the best! As I have gotten to know the trainers, I trust that they are working to give an exercise routine that is current and challenging. As a mother of young children, I can say that the free baby sitting is outstanding! My children absolutely love the day camp!!! They cant wait to go back every summer! If you are looking for a full service community center, this is the best!!!!! I cant say enough good things :-)

My parents have been members of the JCC for the past several years. My mom loves her knitting class. She loves to get together with all the ladies. They like going to JCC staying active and meeting other people.

I joined the David Posnack Jewish Community Center for the sole purpose of training with Julia Steiner. I have worked with many other trainers in the past and I have never had a trainer that truly dedicates herself the the specific needs of her clients. I have had several injuries that do not allow me to do various exercises that most people can. Julia has done research and has dedicated herself to working with me to strengthen those areas that I have difficulties with so that I can strive to work harder towards my goals in getting into shape. Most trainers work you on machines and push you harder where you could truly injure yourself. Unlike Julia, who dedicates herself to each clients individual situation and truly cares about that person. I have been training with her for the past 3 years 3 times weekly. I can honestly say that without her expert abilities I do not believe I would be have been able to regain the functionality that I had problems with due to my previous injuries. She truly is a Major Asset to the David Posnack Staff.

This review is for the preschool. The tour was wonderful. Classrooms have plenty of activities for the kids. Clean rest rooms and play area. Staff is friendly and professional. A double buzz in system to enter the preschool with cameras on the entire campus. The only downside to the JCC preschool is that is located on the community center. Students have exposure to members using the facility. Members are not screened with back ground security subjecting the students to strangers . This would of been prefect school for my family and if it was not attached to the community center.

Want an amazing gym? Go somewhere else. Imagine a giant gym, full of crazy useless equipment. Want to do squats? Good luck, theres probably somebody curling in the squat rack. No adjustable safety bars, fixed railings instead. Smith machine? The bar spins in place on both machines (by design), so good luck getting a good grip, and the notches on the railings are terrible. Machines? Yea, they have the usual preacher curl, but no standing calf machine, instead they have two thigh abductor machines. Been there an entire year and they have yet to get a half-seat, or military chair for shoulder press. 2 million treadmills, and only 3 flat benches in the weight area. Are you a normal adult with a regular 9-5 job? Oh, you are? Then youll never make it to the gym on Fridays because they close at 6pm, so kiss 4 days out of every month for your overpriced 1yr membership goodbye. Music? Terrible music. And they use the excuse that they cant change it because its playing from an iPod in a locked office, and only managers have the key. Three managers- Reese- Rude and MIA half the time. Isaac- Awesome. Some other blonde woman- good luck finding her, EVER. Old people? Everywhere. Absolutely everywhere and theyre in the way and they dont do anything. Temperature? Ice cold. Work up a sweat and feel the ice cold breeze that wafts through the gym, but they cant make it warmer because the old people dont like to sweat. Yup, thats right, they wont make it warmer in the gymnasium, the place people come to exert physical effort in order to work up a sweat and stay healthy because old people dont like to sweat. They sit on machines and recumbent bikes for 45 minutes at a time peddling at the speed of smell. Over $40 a month for this nonsense. Never again would I sign up for this gym or any gym like it.

I cant believe how over managed this facility is. Everyone knows that the childrens lunches are getting everyone sick and they remain with the same vendor. I shouldnt assume but obviously the decision makers are getting a kick back or free catering from this unsanitary caterer. Amazing, wonderful, outstanding!!My son has attended the JCC Preschool since he was 7 months old. My family has had a wonderful experience with all of the staff. The professionalism, personal attention and family like atmosphere is like no other. As my son is getting ready to graduate next month and move on to Kindergarten, I know that the teachers and staff of the JCC have fully prepared him for this next step. The best and most honest review though comes straight from my son. He frequently talks about how much he loves his school, his friends and his teacher. Yes it is true the JCC may be a little more expensive than some of the other programs, but when I look at my son it is quite obvious we are definitely getting our moneys worth!!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My main problem is with the staff, as others have mentioned in reviews. Over managed place where leadership knows very little about nothing and the staff is basically trained to be unfriendly. There are a few friendly ones, dont get me wrong. But overall, this place is a nightmare at times. Isnt hard to see why other similar facilities in the area outperform the DPJCC.

The JCC is one of the main reasons we chose to purchase a home nearby. There is a wonderful sense of community here for Jews and non-Jews alike! They offer an enormous array of classes in fitness and extracurricular activities. We have found all of the staff to be kind, professional and knowledgable. I wholeheartedly recommend the DPJCC!

The Posnack JCC is like my familys second home. Both of my daughters are excited to go to camp there every summer. The JCC camp experienced is like no other in Broward County. The preschool program and faculty deserve nothing but the best praise. They are warm and loving. The curriculum prepares the kids to be successful in kindergarten and infuses a love of Judaism. My daughter always comes home singing Shabbat or other holiday songs. Other programs at the J also foster a sense of community from the renovated fitness center to the music, movie, and book festivals. There really is something at the JCC for everyone.

The Susan and Saul Singer Early Learning Center at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center is a wonderful preschool and I could not be happier with our experience there! The teachers and staff are warm and nurturing. They know every childs name and everyone is greeted with a smile. The teachers are knowledgable and the curriculum is vast. Not only are my kids learning the skills appropriate for their age, but they are also taught Jewish traditions and history that create a sense of community that is hard to find elsewhere. Both of my sons look forward to going to school every day and come home excited about what they learned and expereinced that day. My oldest son is completing his Pre-K year and I am confident he is well prepared for kindergarden and has a great foundation for his entire educational career. The facilities are clean and well managed. The children enjoy a state of the art brand new playground everyday and have access to great indoor play areas, gyms and swimming pools. The children also have access to iPads in the classrooms and participate in extra curricular activities such as Karate and Yoga. My sons also take part in the DPJCCs Camp Kadima every summer. Everyday of summer camp is jam packed with activities, crafts, sports, shows and field trips. There is not a single dull moment at summer camp. Our entire family enjoys the DPJCC and we are so glad to be a part of this community!

My whole point of putting my daughter in preschool at the jcc is because it was jewish private and i dont want my daughter to be in a public school. you pay a nice big amount every month and your kid doesnt even have jewish teachers or helpers. Dont get me wrong the teachers seem professional but if you are like me and understand what the difference is from a jewish teacher to a non jewish teacher then u wont be happy here it is better paying less and sending them to public you will probably get the same. second of all They love trying to suck more money from you on everything little thing so be ready...and too much kids in 1 class, found multiple mistakes the teacher had made with my daughter like saying she napped when i know she didnt, putting a diaper on her when she is fully potty trained and she was coming home every week sick. i was expecting so much more :(
