I was looking for a Master which is a true Master, especially in this days, where, after six months of research, I found Master Nestor the best out of all the schools I visited and watched the Masters. I came back this year because I realized the value it has and how the the teacher really motivates me. Its worth the time only if you show effort and consistency. He has helped me grow into the person I am today. I am now comfortable in my own body, confident in my self, and confident in my ability. Very friendly and professional as soon as you join you become part of a big family, my boyfriend is been coming to this dojo since he was 11, with the few times I’ve been there the teacher makes sure his students and parents/guest wear mask, keep the appropriate distance between students as well as offering hand sanitizer when you walk in, if you are thinking on signing up for class DO IT! You won’t regret it.

He is the best master out there and often gives valuable lessons to his students. Showing up to training is important for the success of one who is looking to improve and work their way up! I have been a student of Traditional Tae-Kwondoe for 10 years. I would recommend Tae-Kwondoe because it teaches you self-control, courtesy, Integrity, perseverance, and Indomitable spirit. But it is all thanks to Master Nestor and Mrs.lisbeth and Kyosahnim Darius. Tae Kwondoe helped me because I feel safe when I go places with family or friends. I am thankful to be taught by Master Nestor and Kyosahnim Darius.

My child has done one year here and it is his favourite activity. He is now more out spoken and confident and strong. Summer camp is particularly fun because the kids do a fun trip everyday to parks, zoo, museum, etc.

I signed up my son for Taekwondo classes a few months ago, and it has been SO good for him, exercise wise and in regards to behavior/discipline. I even signed him up for summer camp when I saw they offered it, and it was worth every penny. They keep the kids active and take them on field trips daily. Nestor and Lisbeth are amazing and Im so glad we chose to go with Traditional Taekwondo Center of Davie.

We love this studio. My son tried a lot of different activities before Taekwon-do and this is the activity that stuck. Its great self defense for him along with socializing. We have been attending 6 months and plan on going for a very long time to come. The instructors are great. It is a very well structured environment.

This place has been a life saver for my twins. Nestor is an amazing instructor and well respected. My twins have learned so much and has only been attending since February of this year. It is a great way to show kids discipline and build great self esteem. Taekwondo of Davie is an excellent facility for adults and children. My children have been attending for about a month now and I can see positive changes in their behavior and relationship between them. I would recommend the school to all parents! Kids are also very tired after class, bonus!

The instructor Sahbahnim is amazing. The way he is with the kids is irreplaceable, and I always recommend parents to register their children here. Being a 5-star business is not easy and it takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice to keep this reputation, but this Tae Kwon Do is the best! My son’s request every summer is to join their summer camp, and because he goes to school in Weston, I regret not doing the after-school program as well. Master Cerda is a wonderful instructor. Ive been training under him for the past ten years, and he is definitely one of the best instructors in Florida. I definitely recommend this school for those martial artists looking for a good workout and to challenge their body in different ways.

My son has been going to TTDCD for aftercare and training for 2 years now, and he absolutely loves it. The instructors lead by Nestor are all very professional and friendly. They treat the kids fair and they teach them about respect and manners while building their confidence. All while learning Taekwon-Do in a safe and fun environment.

My son has been going to Traditional Tae Kwon Do since he was 4 years old. When he began, he had just been diagnosed on the autism spectrum and had no muscular strength. Three years later, thanks to therapies and the caring team at TTKD after care program, my son is pretty much out of the spectrum and has improved immensely in strength and coordination. I trained previously at a different school for about seven years, then I transferred to traditional tae kwon do about three years ago. If you’re looking to train and traditional taekwondo in South Florida there is only one place to go and it is here. Master Nestor is the best there is, and he teaches true Martial Arts.

Everyone at the Traditional TaeKwon-do Center is so great. It is like you are surrounded by family. They work great with all of the kids. Wonderful service and Nestor is the best Taekwon-do instructor I have ever seen. He is patient with the new students, very encouraging but also pushes you to always keep improving. Awesome school! Not a mix match of different styles; this school does Taekwondo beautifully. My kids, whoa are now 21 and 17, have been with this school since they were 6 years old. I believe the confidence they gained from TKD has helped them in all aspects of their life. Plus, the training has made them all round good athletes!

I would love to see a night dedicated (similar Weds dedicated form night) to kicking drills (all Taekwondo kicks) OUT of block and hand combinations (kicks across the floor, with the paddles, two kick two kick). Finish the night off with kick combinations (front, round, 360) to drill the hallmark of Taekwondo (kicking art). Thank you Sabonim for running such a wonderful school. The best instruction you can find anywhere in south Florida when it comes to TKD. You will be learning martial arts in the same traditional method passed down from the original line that started the discipline of TKD. I am a 27 year old medical student with 2 kids and a wife. For me, I have lost almost 10 lbs, increased in endurance, stamina, will power, flexibility, physical strength and speed, self-awareness and overall improve health. You will have gained the ability to defend yourself and your loved ones. You really will gain so many benefits that I cant even fit in one post. My 9 year old son trains with me as well and we learn and grow together. He has shared many of the benefits that I have, but includes increased focus and grades in school with an attitude of a calm confidence. Counter-intuitive to peoples belief, he hasnt grown more aggressive, but actually has grown softer, more patient, and understanding towards others. He learns discipline, respect, and working towards goals.You will work hard and you will be pushed daily. This not a dojang for the unmotivated, you will work HARD for each belt, which will require almost 6-12 months of training before you advance. Master Nestor, will only advance the deserving. I would also add that, you arent learning just how to fight, but you are learning to become better people and that will be the most difficult and important lesson that you will learn.

I have trained here for 14 years and it is a phenomenal place to learn Tae Kwon Do. Under Nestors expert tutelage, I have honed my self-discipline, strength, and flexibility. The teaching is excellent and is tailored to students of all skill levels. I definitely recommend it for everyone.

My 4 years at this place were amazing. Sabumniem was a huge inspiration to me and after those yeara I got to red belt. Too bad I had to move to Texas, I miss Taekwondo.

I was so stressed worrying about being able to pick up my young son from kindergarten by 6pm. I searched and searched for an after school program in my area that had comforting reviews and was flexible with pick up time in case of traffic or work related issues. I kept running into TRADITIONAL TAEKWONDO CENTER of DAVIE in every search. I worried maybe he was too young??? But ...like I said, I couldnt escape it in my search (maybe it was fate.) So, I threw up my hands and decided to go up the street and see what all these 5 star reviews were about. The location is really convenient with plenty of parking. The Dojang (facility) was very clean organized and open. I met with the Sabonim (instructor) and felt more at ease; therefore, after speaking to my husband we decided to enroll our son. They pick up my son from school with vehicles equipted with safety boosters. When he arrives at the Dojang, they do homework (about 1hr) and additional staff is provided to assist the children with homework. When homework is completed, the children begin their Taekwondo lessons. Its a GREAT program and believe me I am a CRAZY OVER PROTECTIVE MOM ( my son in my world) so I just cant leave my son with just anyone, and the school is so good about communication; I can easily text and get a reply instantly. I am so thankful to have peace of mind every day that he is safe and enjoys taking lessons. Not only do they teach self defense but self control and self respect. To all the moms out there like me who work crazy hrs and need a peace-of-mind after school care check this place out. Its a terrific school and very affordable.

Grand Master Cerda is an extra-ordinary, no-nonsense instructor. Ive seen him get a student to do things he never thought he could do. GM Cerda studied directly under GM Jae-Hwa KWON for decades and knows his system inside and out. He likes working with kids, even works with handicapped kids, and knows how to get the most out of his students. In Spanish or English, GM Cerda is a great instructor. I highly recommend him.

Great Tae Kwon Do school thats styled after the traditional teachings that isnt like all the others. The instructor Nestor Cerda, has trained most of his life, influences all this students to learn TKD as a lifestyle. Personally, Ive trained for many years and consider it to be one of the best decisions in my adult life.

I have been visiting both schools since 2008 and had received myself classes, seminars and private lessons with Sahbum-Nim Cerda. My experience was over the expectation. Master Cerda is a great teacher with a world level skill and a very friendly and patience while working with persons with physical or age limitations. The schools are top of the line, great facilities with parking lot, showers, etc. I highly recommend the Traditional Taekwondo Centers of Davie and Tamarac for any person interested in Martial Arts training, with no age limitation, it is excellent for the little ones, if you trying to improve their gross motor skill, it is great for the teens, helping them to be controlled, disciplined and respectful. But it is awesome for some of us crossing the boundary of the 40ths (or may be a couple of more). Finding excellent improvement of balance, coordination and body rejuvenation!

The best Taekwon-do school in the world ! The owner and teacher of the school, Nestor Cerda, is a true 5th degree Black belt that leaned his techniques from the greatest Korean, Master Kwon. My son loves this school very much !Since he started attending this school, his techniques improved a lot. I am happy with the path that my son his going on.I would recommend Traditional Taekwon-do of Davie to anybody that wants to have their child learn proper traditional Taekwon-do...not like some other schools out there, that just want to take your money !
