We love Highlands! Our kiddos have been going to Highlands Academy since they were 12-weeks old, and we’ve had a really great experience overall. They’ve gone above and beyond with handling and managing COVID over the past year and a half, and we could not be more impressed. The teachers and staff really love all the kiddos, and our kids have thrived and learned so much at Highlands. I highly recommend the school to any parents considering putting a child into daycare.

Our daughter started at the highlands at 2 and will soon graduate as she prepares for kindergarten. our experience with the teachers and administration exceeded our expectations at every level. our daughter continues to fondly remember many of her teachers in each of her classes over the past 2 1/2 years. nurturing, patient, kind, thoughtful, empathetic, creative and motivated are just some of the words that come to mind as i think about these wonderful teachers. she was taught valuable life skills, encouraged to unleash her creativity, and given a start to the academic side of school with phonics, numbers, and writing skills. my daughter has a tree nut allergy and the teachers and administration were on top of it -- which doesnt happen at every school given our previous experience. i would highly recommend HA to any family.

We have sent both of our children to Highlands Academy since they were each three months old. We have always felt like the teachers and leadership there were like family to us. The entire staff is truly invested in the education, mental well-being, safety and life skills development of the children that attend. Our kids are now seven and three, we love the after school program pick up from Brown Elementary as well as the summer camp. The communication from the school is exemplary as well and each and every teacher and caretaker have made huge impacts on my kids. No school is perfect, but I can say with 100% honesty that the staff addresses concerns quickly and reasonably and I have always felt heard and respected when I give critical feedback. I cannot say enough to describe the love and familial feeling we have sending our kids to this amazing place! Highly, highly recommend!

My experience at Highlands Academy was good at first. We started at Highlands Academy when my daughter was 2 and liked it. Her classroom was organized, fairly clean and she really connected with her teachers. They helped HUGELY in potty training and I will forever be grateful for that. Things changed when we moved up to the 3 year old preschool classroom. When they repurposed the gym into 3 new classrooms, one of her teachers moved to one of the new classrooms and her other one swapped with to another teacher at the facility. Her classroom then went through a revolving door of people and drop-off / pick-up were TERRIBLE and every time I observed the class, it was complete chaos. In the afternoons, the classroom was almost always filthy, which is a huge problem for me. The lunches provided were a big added incentive though I would say based on the monthly menu and comparing to other preschools in the area, the quality of the meals is sub-par. Additionally, I observed several instances of her previous teachers coming into her classroom and taking toys/supplies/materials for their new classroom. It seems like the recent growth has resulted in a preschool that is too large to manage and the owner is prioritizing profit over the well-being of the kids. Ending on a positive note, Claire and Tanya (directors) were always helpful and responsive when I had a problem or question.

Our son attended and thrived and Highlands Academy. The teachers were loving, patient and helpful. We also loved the other families and make some great friendships.

Our son has attended Highlands Academy in one of the Toddler classrooms for 7 months now, and we really like it. The teachers are all wonderful - they are highly educated and competent in their field, and you can tell they genuinely care for the students.HA offers many wonderful benefits including: yoga, Spanish class, music class, gym class, organic hot meals (breakfast, lunch, snack). They offer flexible schedules, and all of the other parents I have met and worked with have been extremely nice and very involved.I searched for and toured many daycare facilities in the Denver area before selecting HA, and we are so pleased that we did! Highly recommend this school!

Not good for what you pay. Seems they value profit over a good experience for the kids (& parents). Theyre converting coat closets and gyms into new classroom with having supplies or staff to account for the new growth.

When I first walked into HA in 2015, I was in love. The school was fun and clean, and the staff was friendly and professional. Claire and Tanya were amazing from day one. Leaving your child, specially at 3 months old, is never easy. Ms. Laurie, in the infant room, guided me, a first-time mom, as I struggled with separation anxiety, when to start feeding solids, etc. She was a true blessing. I cannot fully express how wonderful (and truly missed) the toddler teachers were to our son. Ms. Laura, Ms. Shannon, and Ms. Kate (who is no longer there), were patient, kind, loving, and fun...everything you want for your childs well-being. We sadly had to leave HA after 2 years, but we will never forget the great love and care that went into taking care of our little boy. Thank you, from the bottom of hearts.
