I was able to attend a Thursday night Fundamentals/Self-Defense class followed by an Advanced (gi) class with Sean and Theresa. Both classes we great. Good balance of instruction and drilling. Really professional and welcoming environment.

Absolutely great group of people. Accommodating to any skill level or ambition - from health goals to competition. The staff members and team/class mates here are only ever supportive. I would recommend this gym to beginners and seasoned competitors alike.

I came to Colorado BJJ with experience from another school and they have welcomed me with open arms and have helped me become a better grappler. Professor Sean, Don, Terri, and Gregg are fantastic instructors and genuinely care about their students, from hobbyist to competitors they will give you the time and attention you need to succeed with your goals. In every class that I have observed, the instructors have been not only professional and knowledgeable but also respectful and encouraging to all participants, making everyone feel valued. This includes men’s, women’s, and children’s training. One other thing that I very much appreciate about the facility is the cleanliness. Owners are diligent about cleaning and disinfecting, and they have been doing this for years, long before COVID.

You won’t find higher quality instruction or a better community to train BJJ. Professors Sean, Teri, Don and Gregg will equip you with the skills to defend yourself, win on the world stage, or just provide an excellent workout, depending on your goals. Honestly I cant say enough good things about this place. Terri, Don and Sean are some of the best people I know and cater to all learning styles. They do a great job in breaking down the moves and explaining proper technique. They will work with you to build your skills and to feel confident in self defense. Also, this place really is a judgement free zone, everyone here is a family and will know you by name. When I first started I was definitely intimidated, especially as a non athletic woman in a predominantly male sport. However, even on my first day I was welcomed with nothing but kindness and encouragement and Im still here a year and a half later. If anyone is even thinking about trying MMA training I ALWAYS recommend this gym.

It is well ventilated , sporting a vaulted ceiling and large roll up door to allow for great air circulation for classes held mornings, afternoon and evenings. This place has been amazing. My knowledge and skill has increased tremendously. Ive been here for over 7 months now and have had no issues. I recently heard of an incident where an instructor showed a lack of respect and integrity to an individual who was purchasing a vehicle from them. He knowingly sold the vehicle without disclosing all of the issues it had, and only disclosed there was a radiator issue after the purchase had concluded. The next day the car the buyer purchased died and when it was assessed there were a multitude of issues and the cost of repairs were 4x times the cost. I know this has nothing to do with Martial Arts, but a major aspect of Martial Arts is about building character and doing the right thing. If an instructor does not exemplify a good character I would not want them to be a leading me in this ancient art.

I have been calling CBJJ Satori home for over three years now. In my experience this is the most welcoming and professional gym environment I have ever experienced. Sean and Don provide world class instruction on top of being kind, patient, and all around great individuals. Both instructors here are people I would consider mentors in one way or another and I am incredibly lucky to be a student under them. Great place to train for everybody in the family. I have personally seen everyone from 4 year old’s to people in their 60s train at this facility. The gym has consistently trains athletes who do well (and frequently win) at local and national tournaments. Myself, my wife and kids have all trained their for years. I went to this gym after checking out various other jiu jitsu gyms, looking for a comfortable, professional vibe that wasnt ego driven. I found exactly that in professor Sean professor Don, and (now!) professor Teri. At that point, I was struggling with my jiu jitsu, both technically and emotionally, and they couldnt have provided a safer environment for me to get my love for the sport back, not to mention they have an incredible support team for women in jiu jitsu. They are all so patient, honest, helpful, and make every accommodation to bring out the best in their classes and students, keeping an eye on each one and offering wealths of advice and super-killer tricks. It is not the gym setup or schedule that made the difference for me, but the excellent personalities behind it; Sean and Teri Stewart, Don Westman and all my teammates were incredible.I highly encourage anyone to stop by if they are in town for a visit, or are trying to find a new gym to expand or begin the gentle art. I would like to take a moment to Thank Colorado BJJ especially Don Westman for not only being a great place to learn and train but for them going above and beyond. I have a brain tumor and suffered a horrible stroke . I had to relearn how to walk and talk again . Don and his students not only came to see me at the ICU but has checked on me everyday since . Without Don I really dont think I would be as far along as I am in my healing . He has also provided me with the things that I need to heal and thrive . Colorado BJJ is a place where my kids and I are not only students but we are apart of family . Mr . Westman is a true blessing and I just really dont know where my kids and I would be if it wasnt for him . Also Don has been really patience with teaching my kids and I the basic BJJ skills that are needed in self defense . I know that my daughters ages 13&16 feel very comfortable and a lot safier walking to from school everyday . The coast of his knowledge and training is not only affordable but the cost of peace of mind that I have as a single female and mom... well thats priceless . I had a 12 hour layover at the airport and decided to jump into a lunch time class here. The instructor was very knowledgeable and covered all of the details in a fun way that made the class really enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly and I really enjoyed the class. Gregg Stephenson was the one who got my Guard Down, figuratively and literally. I have even more appreciation for Jiu-jitsu now, I am hooked. Also have much respect for Gregg, he is exceptional in his practice and great leadership.

Been training here a year. Best school I have ever had the privilege to attend. Between the wide range of time slots to the top level technique our instructors offer. We just came up from Oklahoma for a show here in Denver. The instructors were extremely welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. The students were all friendly. The facility was in immaculate condition. Clean front to back.If you live near this gym and want to train Jiu Jitsu, you should definitely check these guys out!!

Trained here a few weeks ago while on vacation, I was very impressed with the level of detail the professor gave on the progression he taught. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, at no point did I feel left out of the group during drill or live rolling. I picked a school almost at random while out at Denver and feel I got very lucky to pick such a great school. Best wishes from New Jersey, hopefully Ill stop by again in the future.

I visited the gym as a drop-in student on a Tuesday night for the leg lock class. Don taught and it was an excellent class. Very detailed instruction, respectful training partners, and effective technique. I definitely recommend CO BJJ Stapleton--its a great place.

I was traveling through the the Denver, CO area and was in looking for a place for some much needed mat time. I was able to visit this school and let me tell you, I was very impressed. They have a great group of people along with awesome instructors. Super warm welcome along with a clean and easy going environment. All of this being said if your in the Denver area and are looking for a BJJ school then this is one place not to miss!

Absolutely wonderful gym. 100% recommended. Offers self defense & competition classes in small, friendly setting. Teachers & classmates are always really kind and respectful.
