I really liked the fact that you are working on real stuff while you’re learning. I have friends that are in Full Sail, and they got experience, but it was still in the classroom. So now, when they are starting to intern at studios and all that, they really don’t know the dynamics of the business side of the studio, which I think is super important. Whereas, with the Recording Connection, my mentor has helped me not just with audio techniques, but also with how to run a studio: what it would take to pay the studio rent, how much energy a studio uses… It’s good to know everything, because I want to build my own studio someday.

If I wasn’t already beyond stoked to start the program, the very first week solidified that I had made the right choice! The videos included in the text helped make things that were slightly grey very clear and easy to understand. I am very much a visual learner, so I definitely appreciated that. Bottom line is I feel like I’m finally on the right path in life and excited to continue on and keep learning from the best to get to where I want to be.

Recording Connections is a lifechanger. Ive gone from zero knowledge to having all the resources and people I need to rocket myself to the top. I get plenty of in studio time teaching me many technical skills and even more importantly, proper studio etiquette. Ever since i started Ive felt nothing but growth every day and I couldnt be thankful enough to everyone thats helping me out. The recording connection is the best way to learn audio engineering

Next Monday I’m recording a friend’s band. I’m heading up the entire project. My mentor will be there watching over my shoulder, to make sure I’m not messing anything up, but this is all me. I can’t wait.
