Just finished the Open Water Dive Class! David and James are the best instructors - they are professional, thorough, knowledgeable and FUN! I felt safe with them the entire time. Everyone was helpful and welcoming. Im excited to take more advanced dive courses and start my dive adventures. Thank you for such a great experience!

I only have positive things to say about Denver Divers! Mariah and Wendel were quick answering emails and thorough in passing information along. David and James were the BEST instructors. They both had great attitudes; no question was a dumb question, safety and comfort was the number one priority, and best of all we had a blast learning together! I absolutely loved my experience with Denver Divers and will continue to reach out to them with my SCUBA needs!

Quickly decided to get back into diving and decided to call Denver Divers. What a wonderful experience. We got lucky because of a cancelation and got into the weekend class. My girlfriend, who is not certified, did the 3 day class & pool and I did a refresher. She loved the instructor, and everyone we interacted with, was great. Highly recommend.

My 10 year old son is finally able to swim! After years of various swim lessons, we decided to try Denver Diver’s. Within a few months he could swim. I asked him what made the difference. His response was 1) the 15 minute private lesson, instead of waiting for his turn on the wall, he gets 15 minutes of concentrated learning. 2) they taught him to tread water. After all these years of lessons, this was a skill no one had taught him. 3) the pool is very deep, he cannot put his feet down on the ground, he HAD to swim. 4) teachers that were very positive, but pushed him to try. Lastly, swimming at the public pool in between lessons, so he could practice what he learned. Sincerely grateful, thank you.

Great shop with an impressive setup (own pool??) and a helpful and friendly staff. Had a great time refreshing my skills with Mark, who was super accommodating and patiently answered all my questions. Hope to be back next time Im spending a few days in Denver.

This place is outstanding!! Mariah is fantastic when it comes to correspondence around training requirements for SSI, costs and options for open water certification. Drew was a great instructor who took the time to make sure we got it right. They help coordinate everything we needed for the Crater, gave us recommendations for dive shops in Placentia and hooked us up with a sweet military discount on a pair of masks/snorkel!!The only recommendation Id have is to extend the hours for the retail shop, especially on Mondays and Saturdays so that when you finish up your pool practice or class, you can buy some gear!

Another great training session with Adam and the Denver Divers team. Had a solid Scuba refresher course leaving me feeling well prepared for my trip next week. Safety and fun are a great combination! The staff was awesome in helping me figure out some gear too!

Great service and knowledgeable staff at this place. Went here a few years back to get some freediving fins and was not disappointed. Lots of dive shops don’t really cater to freedivers, but Denver Divers definitely gets it right. I suspect they’re also a solid resource for technical divers, though I’m merely a novice who has an Intro to Cave cert.

Weird experience. Waited on by 3 different people in ten minutes. I know it’s just barely post Covid but no inventory to speak of. It was like a scowl when they found out men’s 10. No closed heel at all available. Going back to my old stand by down south.

While I would like to support my local shop, their gear is way more expensive than what I can get online. The instructor for scuba training was great.

RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE:We unenrolled my children after 4 years of swimming there because they were still unable to swim despite having done lessons there weekly (and for half the time, twice weekly) over the course of those 4 years. They were only making progress when Cada was there. ALSO, Its absolutely untrue that you allowed a makeup when I had to cancel my last lesson due to a fever. I have an entire email thread with Emily proving that. And if you stand by your statement below, I would appreciate a long overdue refund.--Spent thousands of dollars taking my kids here to learn how to swim with very few improvements over the years. Spent 1 month in Hawaii playing around in the pool everyday and they learned more in that month than they ever did here. Additionally, they will cancel lessons on you for all kinds of reasons but if you have to cancel because of fever or covet symptoms, they will not reimburse or reschedule your lesson. The only good thing about this place was Cada and now shes gone.

Wonderful friendly service. The teachers are awesome with small children! My 18 month nanny kiddos look forward to their swim lessons and are happy to hop in the pool.

The Swim School of Denver is THE place for babies, toddlers, and kids to learn how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Both of my grandchildren have learned their amazing swim skills here starting at age one and are now four and six. My next grandchild will be born in Australia - not sure how we are going to accomplish the commute to Denver for his swim lessons! Everyone on the staff is dedicated to your childs success in the water. We love the Swim School of Denver at Denver Divers.

My friend and I took these classes because we are Taking a trip to Florida for shark diving. We worked with Vince, and he was amazing. Very patient with us and so knowledgeable. I am now have confidence in my diving trip, I’d love to come back again! Thanks!

Excellent service as always. Went in to check out some new equipment. They are going to bring in a couple things in my size that were not available so I can try them as well. That is what servicing a client is all about.

If you are in the Denver area and want to get SCUBA certified, you need to come here! I took the class this winter and had a wonderful experience. The staff and teachers are all so incredibly friendly and make you feel extremely comfortable through the entire process. I was a little nervous, and they were very understanding and really helped me through some of the fear I had. We were never rushed through any skills and we had plenty of time to practice anything again. The classroom sessions were also very engaging and they created a really great learning environment. At the end of the course, they gave us celebratory champagne and a really great dry bag for diving. It was very thoughtful and sweet. After you take the course, you can come back in for FREE practice sessions each week (it is also free to use equipment during these sessions), which is an amazing deal. Even after you get completely certified, you can set up times to use the pool and continue to practice/refresh on skills.Thank you to everyone at Denver Divers for everything you do!

Heres why you need to know them. We went on a trip they organized and something went wrong. It wasnt their fault - things happen when you travel. But they made it right, they gave it personal attention. Its a family business that cares. Theyre knowledgeable and they care about you. Thats the sign of a great business and one that our family loves. Get to know them.

I took the level 1 Freedive class w Adam. He was a fantastic instructor. I’m now going back for level 2 w Ali and very much looking forward to it. All the people at DD are wonderful and accommodating! Thanks guys

Wonderful folks working here. I dropped my dive computer off a few weeks ago to get the battery changed out which was something they had to send it back to Dive Rite for. Due to the blizzard, it did not make it back in time for my trip. The folks at Denver Divers put aside a rental computer for me and hooked it up on the rental charge since my computer didnt make it back in time. Great shop to work with! I will definitely be back when I need to buy gear or have maintenance done on my existing gear. Looking around, it also looks like theyre fully outfitted for anything else you might need for a dive trip. Thanks!

I can’t say enough good things about Denver Divers and Wendel. He was patient with me. Helped me set up an awesome knew BCD and regulator and really knows his stuff. He also helped my girlfriend become a better diver. Absolutely perfect experience with these folks!!

The BEST training, dive shop, and family business in Denver! I did my open water training there and learned skills that literally saved my life when I went discount scuba diving in Panama. I have since bought all of my gear from the shop and Wendel took time to make sure everything was custom fit to my needs. I cannot give them a high enough recommendation!

We started taking our two older daughters at ages 20 months and 4.5 years. Neither could float or swim at all, and did not like the water or getting their heads wet. Within months, the 4.5 year old could swim float swim across the pool, and go down the water slide without assistance. She now can swim normal strokes and LOVES the water. The 20 month old could swim-float-swim for survival as well, and now at 3.5 years can jump in, swim across the pool, and really enjoys the water. Thanks so much for helping them develop and continue to grow with the lifelong skill of swimming.

Fun place, great class at 1 mile up

All the instructors were great and very knowledgeable in all aspects of scuba diving. I loved hearing the amazing stories of their own adventures. When it came to getting certified at the Blue Hole, I was taken good care of even with all my special needs.

This review is long overdue. I got certified, did group travel, and eventually bought all of my gear through Denver Divers. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Ive never had a bad experience with this dive shop and would recommend anyone to them. Thanks DD!

My friend recommended Denver Divers for a wetsuit rental and I went in and got excellent service. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable - they allowed me to try on multiple wetsuits of various sizes and thickness to find the perfect one for my canyoneering trip. I rented the suit for a week - it was super easy and at a great price. I highly recommend this local shop for their services.

Just completed a scuba skills update class with Judy and Alex. They were both excellent. Calm, patient, and kind.

We went in looking to get a mask for scuba certification and left with a wealth of advice and knowledge in addition to a fantastic mask, all thanks to Christine! She was incredibly helpful throughout the entire experience and I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to buy excellent quality scuba equipment!

Amazing Dive shop!!!From the classes to the retail store to the dive trips!!The instructors are very knowledgeable and obviously enjoy their diving and teaching! They teach things very thoroughly and easy to understand. Although i was quick to pick things up it was nice to see how well they worked with the younger to be divers. Very patient instructions and fun classes. So your children will be in good hands here.As for the dive trips. I just got back from the San Carlos dive trip (7/31/16) and got my open water diver certification! Wendel is an amazing dive instructor and a fun guy to go on trips with. At first i was a little put off when i realized i was going to have a roommate for the trip. I decided to be open about the experience and just go with it. I am glad i did!! I felt i got to learn way more since i roomed with Wendel on the trip. He answered every question i had about diving and you can tell his heart is in diving and sharing that with others!! I have considered being a commercial diver and doing underwater welding so this is a childhood dream come true to be a certified diver!If you are thinking about becoming a certified diver this is the shop for you!P.S. If you want to get certified before a full dive trip do the San Carlos dive you will not regret it! This is an outstanding place to get certified, learn how to swim, and make great friends in the scuba world. The staff is super friendly and will help you with any needs. All in all, I love Denver Divers and everything about it.

This place is great! My son had his first swimming lessons here. The pool uses a salt water system, so it uses less harsh chemicals on little children. The instruction is broken into small chunks and involves play to help keep children engaged and calm. The instructors are patient, caring, certified in a program with young children, and good at what they do! The waiting area has plenty of toys for the kids, the bathrooms/changing areas have ample room, and there are quick rinse pool showers by the pool. They also offer dive lessons and have good gear for purchase.

Got certified here and just got home from my first dive trip. Didnt realize what a good job these guys did until I heard how others got their certification. They knock it out of the park in comparison. Real people doing something they love. Only subtracted a star because of the equipment - some could use a refresh - but at the end of the day, safety matters more.

Had a terrible experience with a dive shop in Maryland. When we moved to Colorado, we found Denver Divers. The personnel attention we received at Denver Divers kept us diving. Great instructors, great owners, great trips!! Love this shop.

I can’t say enough great things about Denver Divers! (Seriously, read this)I’m not what you would call a “details” person, so when I found myself with a scuba trip coming up in 1.5 months and no certification, they went over and above to jump through not one but MANY hoops for me. Here’s how it goes:(1) I signed up for a class too close to my trip to do all of my open water dives in time so Wendell OPENED A NEW CLASS earlier in the month for me. What?!(2) When my poorly planned and half-baked idea to do my open water dives at the crater in Utah fell through (don’t forget, no flying within 24 hrs of diving, kids), Craig and Mariah opened a last minute spot to let me come on the already full trip to Blue Hole, NM. I mean, really.(3) My rental car’s window got stuck fully open on the way to New Mexico (rolled down because I had a visit from a friendly cop on the highway, we won’t get into it). Enterprise took it away to work on it, so John and Ted nicely allowed me to hitch a ride back to Denver with them. Best dudes.(4) During the dives, when my combination of traits of “always freezing” and “poor planner” collided, Craig and Ted both donated warm under layers and gloves to my cause.Go see them! The best! They also plan awesome trips, so much to their fear, I’ll definitely be back :)

We bring our 3 year old here to swim. These people really know what theyre doing with these kids. Theyre expensive but they get your kid to get over any fears of the water and really swim! Worth every penny and recommend them to anyone who wants their child of any age to learn to swim and be safe in the water.

This place is really awesome. Walked in needing a mask and snorkel. I had no idea it was so involved. JP walked me through everything, showed me how to try on masks, and took the time to find me one that fit. He was super patient and explained everything clearly. Mariah was super friendly and offered to have someone call me with some ideas for great snorkeling in our destination. My husband and I are extremely happy with our experience with Denver Divers. We used them for both certification and for travel services. Everyone in the shop is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Below Ive outlined our experiences with both travel services and certification.Travel services:I called Denver Divers out of the blue one day because I was looking for a dive trip on which we could get certified and was helped by Ali. I had looked at several places on the internet and told her what I was looking at. She came up with some suggestions that were better than I could have imagined or found myself online. She had been to these places so she was able to give great details and suggestions. We ended up going to Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia. It was an amazing spot with a great dive shop. Ive always loved white sand beaches, but the black sand beach was gorgeous--much more beautiful in person than in photos. We also loved the style of the rooms and that they were not enclosed. Ali called the resort partway through our trip to check on us, and that prompted the resort to give us an amazing upgrade into their sister resort, Jade Mountain. I will be using Ali on all of my future dive vacations. I cant see that the cost was any higher than if I booked myself, and she helped with arrangements for every detail. We did end up getting our open water certification at Anse Chastanet and had a great trip with amazing dives.Certification:My husband and I took our standard pool scuba certification class at Denver Divers and passed. It was a great course and we learned a lot, but I was still a little nervous about open water diving. I could not make the regular free pool sessions, so Wendel worked with both my husband and I in several free sessions until we were completely comfortable with all the skills and going into open water. He also helped us buy appropriate equipment with absolutely no pressure or expectations. Wendel was extremely patient with us and gave excellent instruction. Our open water certification went great and I credit that largely to the work Wendel put in to make sure we were prepared. We are hoping to go on one of the group dive trips with Denver Divers.
