I am a product of EPJCC and forever will be grateful to my mentor David L Carrasco. He was caring, compassionate but strict when ever it need it to be. Logically I was a young man when I was there and things made no sense. but know I understand why he was the way he was and for that I thank him. Just like many students I sat on the red chair he had in his office and listened to his advice. Thanks to his leadership Mempa as we used to called the center was the number #1 center in the nation for many years!!! It’s up us to make something out of the training they provide, they’re not there to babysit us it’s true that many students who were there had issues. But the students need to understand that they need to take advantage of the benefits and use it as a stepping stone to improve wether is to continue their education or use what you have learned in that institution. Thank you Mr Carrasco, to his Secretary thank you . May you rest in AMIGO PEACE!!

D.L.C. Job Corps Center is an opportunity for any youth interested in making a positive change in their life. I enjoyed working there as a Security Guard, however it was the students who were the highlight of my day. My greatest desire is that I was able to touch their lives positively as much as they did mine.

Could of been way better but our trade for Hvac wasnt funded properly we pretty much only learned a Lil bit, didnt even give us tools for completing the trade. Get paid every 2 weeks which is 23$ so thats pretty much nothing at this day and age. 70% people end up dropping from the program. Lack of communication from Staff your just a number to them. I suggest joining Roswell Job corps If your in the El Paso area. their all about Trades in Roswell they give you tools when you complete and a graduation ring

I was the Lifeguard here. Lifeguards dont last is what everyone told me. They dont want a lifeguard. They want a babysitter. They dont let you open the pool or give you any material to clean it then later try to write you up for it. Management is very incompetent. As far as students. They would tell me they wouldnt receive any training for lack of supplies. In my opinion instead this program doesnt prepare you for the real world.. it just creates dependent incompetend people. They dont let them do anything for themselves. They give them everything. They dont even let them walk to walmart thats like 2 blocks away. So yes you will be babysitting 24 year old kids.

I wish I could give them 0 stars they are a horrible school it does not function well the people here are dim witted and mindless numbskulls they stole my boyfriends brand new shoes after searching for things in his locker (because his roommate ran away). So go here if you want to feel guilty all of the time, get your things stolen right out of your locker and if you want to go to an alternative boot camp.

I was there in 06/07 I earned my G.E.D I didnt finish my vocation.I went for facilities maintenance and learned mostly the electrician part of it.I actually got kicked out tho but it was my fault Ill admit.I Did become an electrician after. It changed my life for ever. The crazy part is at the orientation I said I didnt wanna do the food service part of it.The teacher said why? I said because theres no money in that.you can start your own restaurant. She Said. I said pfff come on never. After I left I worked as an electrician a few yrs then partnered with my siblings to start a you guessed it a restaurant.I ran all the power and do all the maintenance ha ha plus now I learned how to cook.If your thinking of going here dont think no more do it. Im an Electrician/Business Owner Your success awaits you and it last forever. Thanks David L Carrasco Job corps center I Love u.I owe you who I am today. Life is what you make it and so is this.

Was there in 2012 got my GED and took classes on automotives it was a lot of fun, you get what you learn, and if you dont put foward the effort and work, your just gonna fail, its a nice establishment. yes there some immature teens that you might run into but if you ignore them, your good, cause remember you go there for yourself. Good luck, Im glad I went.

The staff and students are really inappropriate. Not really worth the time of day to come here to finish your high school or general education. My suggestion is to just pay for your GED its only $145 the first time. An theres a free or lower payment to your 2nd and 3rd test. I paid $16 for my language arts retake. An good luck to the honest and unfortunate, theres better ways to finish your basic education. An theres a lot of ways to get your certifications my advice is talk to your locals. Volunteer for the city of El Paso, an youll bump into a lot of friendly buisness people at any of the cities events, offering you jobs and apprenticeship offers. I dont recommend coming here its just a real big set back, wasted a few months of my time. They seem to have more time, but less for success.

This place teaches life lessons. If you hate it it is because you dont want to succed. They give you tools you need, from how to be clean, to being succesful in life. Enjoy it, love it, because when you leave, TRUST ME, you WILL MISS IT. Parents, if your child isnt doing anything, dont hesitate, if they want to be succesful, they will accept and kick butt. I loved this place, they will thank you one day, or regret not following thru.

I am highly disappointed and frustrated with the David L. Carrasco Job Corps facility. Myself and Dalton Bluejay Hastings have been trying to retrieve his records from this particular office over the period of the last few days. Mr. Dalton Bluejay Hastings only needs his hours he attended for the United States Army so he can join the service. Somehow however, the director, assistant director, records, and Mrs. Rodriguez, a career counselor have been giving us the run around. This Job Corp facility claimed to not have Mr. Dalton Bluejay Hastings in the system even though he attended their facility from January to May of 2013. Now after making a few phone calls myself, i was able to find out that Mr. Dalton Bluejay Hastings was indeed in the system from this facilities security personnel, in particular, Officer Ramos. I relayed this information to my son-in-law, Mr. Dalton Bluejay Hastings so he could call this facility in El Paso. Time after time we both have been smoke screened by the David L. Carrasco Job Corps facility by its personnel. What i find ridiculous is the fact that the employees who are supposed to know where and how to find this information can not even do their assigned jobs. Also, this facilities operator automatically transfers you to security instead of to the specific person you are asking to be transferred to. I will be filing a complaint, I will be speaking with the better business bureau, and Mr. Dalton Bluejay Hastings is also considering legal action since his information was not supposed to be given out.

Unprofessional in 2004 and STILL unprofessional in 2013. Ceci Morales from records has an attitude problem. This school has good intentions but the people who work there suck. I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone.
