I had an appointment with my hairdresser yesterday but her grandmother had a stroke so I went to the Paul Mitchell school and I’m so glad I did. I met Chelsea, a very talented hair dresser. She was sweet, kind and professional But the best part is she did a wonderful job on my hair. I will definitely be going back soon.

I am currently a student here, and I have to say that I LOVE IT! There’s always gonna be some girls/guys that go here that won’t agree with one another, but everyone is always here to help. Especially the staff. They’re teaching us the ins and outs of cosmetology, making sure we are watched carefully when with clients, and they’ve always been so supportive of our goal: to graduate and start our career. I’m so happy I chose this place over any other. I am proud to be part of the Paul Mitchell Family.

Im 58 y/o with silver/white hair. I wanted one final fling before descending into conservative old age. I wanted to dye my shoulder-length hair in mermaid or unicorn colors of blue, teal, purple and a touch of coral/pink. Unfortunately, my hair was coarser than expected and didnt take the colors as well as wed hoped. You want to know the wonderful part of this story? It came out in icy, glacier shades of palest blues, greens, and silvery lavender! I have gotten SO many compliments on it. Total strangers on the sidewalk have told me how beautiful my hair is! Ive had strangers in restaurants stop and say the same.Its visible enough to make a statement but not so much like Im trying to be 20 y/o again. Its quirky but still professional. I could not be any happier! When its time to touch up, I might try again for the darker colors. In the meantime, BRI, thank you so much for a stellar coloring!

Love this school! They are so wonderful to work with. The students are terrific! I went in and had over 22 of hair cut off. I went from long hair to very short hair and LOVE IT!!! Shelby did a fabulous job! When their membership is available for purchase, Ill be first in line! Love this place!

Went there on Wednesday to get a hair cut. She only cut half an inch off. I asked her to layer my hair. She cut long layers. And I asked to cut my hair as to not be in my face. My hair is in my face. She did not cut the front. I have never had a problem with getting what I asked for.

Sandy did my hair and it came out fantastic. My hair is super long and she worked really hard to make me have gorgeous teal colored mermaid hair. The color is even (it was super patchy before I came in but she fixed it) and she didn’t over-process it so it’s still super soft. She took me as a walk-in so I really appreciate all the work she did. 10/10 would recommend.

Im posting this May 2016. I had a bad experience. I went to get a permanent. The head person did not check on the student doing my perm, but twice. She did not check for an S shape. I went back for touch ups and the head person gave her false information and didnt know what she was talking about because my touch up is now straight. The haircut that went with it now that its straight its awful. No one checks on the students 3x that I was there!! The 2x they did they didnt really dig in and look! Ive been going to beauty schools for years to get my hair done and have always had positive experiences....I think all has gone down hill in Fayetteville Beauty Schools. Its more of a social gathering and not attentive to clients enough. The students are very sweet and helpful..They just need to be guided for learning.

I love this place; it has the look & feel of a working salon but you only pay a fraction of the prices. Ive been using Paul Mitchell The Schools services for over a year now and I couldnt be happier. The students are eager and well-trained and the staff are great. A shout-out to Miranda, my latest stylist, for doing an excellent job on my undercut; couldnt be better!

Things have changed since I went to cosmetology school. I know someone who goes there as a student and would not recommend this school at all! Instructors forget without the students they would not have a job, students are there to learn how to be a successful hair stylist not to make money . Students have rights to take breaks and be 10 minutes late or take a personal day without getting written up or suspended or handing out redirection. This is a learning experience not a prison.

The best cosmetology school in the area! Everyone is so kind and helpful! Definitely an environment everyone should get to experience!

Terrible service and an extremely poor communication.

I got a cut and lowlights and my stylist, Chloe, and her supervisor did a great job! They helped me pick a great color for the lowlights and Chloe did the foils, the bob, and new bangs wonderfully. It took a bit longer than a normal salon would have as the supervisor had to come check from time to time to make sure things were on track, but it wasnt too much longer considering the coloring being done. I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone (I got cut and color for less than I paid just for a cut at another local salon). Ill definitely be back.

You really cant beat the price and everyone there is very nice and helpful. Those people complaining about a bad cut or color are kinda ridiculous. This is a school! These are literally people LEARNING to do hair! All the $$$ youre saving is because of this. If the chance of a mistake is that unacceptable to you then Idk, suck it up and go gamble more money at an established salon? Bad haircuts can happen anywhere. If youre not comfortable with your stylist in training at Paul Mitchell there are multiple instructors who are quite qualified and happy to help with any situation that might arise. Dont be passive and then go home to leave bad reviews on Google. Speak up, ask questions and show them pictures. You can also feel good about yourself because youre helping someone develop a skill/career and establishing themselves in the workforce. Also they wax the long white hairs out and off of my ears for like five or ten bucks! Those electric nose/ear trimmers got nothin on that!

In and out quickly. This is a school, so I believe one must go in with the idea that there is learning going on when getting their hairs manipulated. GREAT EXPERIENCE, and everyone is friendly, knowledgable, and the have the good cuts. I will return!

Just left there. I went in a hour ago, and asked about availabilities for a cut and color. Person at receptionist desk told me that it would be about 30-45 minutes, so come back at 1. I did, and when I got back at 1, I was then told by another person it would be after 5 until I could get anything done. So 30-45 minutes of my time wasted when there was no need for it. Guess I should say, I wasnt empty handed, got a service menu and a talk about how great the membership program is.

Everyone is so friendly and wanting to just make you look your best. Sandy waxed my eyebrows and nose and I barely felt it, and I can breathe SO MUCH BETTER NOW.

I have had two or three really bad experiences here, but overall the staff is great and the prices are amazing. I would recommend going on a not so busy time where the person managing all of the students can watch the student while they are working on you more. I find that my issues happened on a busy day (like saturday) where the student couldnt/didnt get the help they needed.... which showed on my hair.

I had a hard time going to this school (yes as a student) I stuck it out and graduated but I hated being there almost every day. They say that its a culture for everyone; however, I dont believe that is the case. I had a hard time getting into the spirit of Paul Mitchell culture which put me on the radar as a trouble maker. Im not a trouble maker but I want to know reasoning and the only answers I got were its what the learning plan says or youre being a resister ..I had good times at school because of the fellow students and select few of the instructors . . . I have no bad words to say about directors of the school they did everything possiple to help me graduate. I guess my general experience in school was underwhelming.

My hair was royally screwed up here. She left my hair all different lengths and because she screwed up so much 1.5 turned into 3. The middle of my bangs were left long while on the left theyre nearly to my hairline. The left side is longer than the right and there are other small details as well. I cant even return to have it fixed. DO NOT GO HERE.

Emily did my hair and she was professional and my hair turned out great. I have been telling everyone about her. I get complimemts on my hair all the time. I will def be going back

So I dont even like giving this place 1 star but you cant post a review wirhout giving at least one. Lousy customer service. My granddaughter and i have been trying to get in there since last November, no joke. No matter what time or day you call or go in there is no one available. Most the time the parking lot is not full and there is never anyone sitting and waiting. Today 8/5 I called at 9 and the door says not open till 9:30 and ask to make appointment today for a hair cut, was told Saturdays only for walk ins. So I said oh ok so I can come down and was told no we are booked. I ask how can you be booked on Saturday when you only take walk ins and its only 9 you dont open till 9:30but you already have two people there before opening the place, her words were, we have two colors and its a school so it takes longer. So that didnt answer how you jave two peiple there before opening time and, Hmmmmmmmm it takes ALL day to do two colors really???? Well I drove over there a 2:30is and was still told NO....I truly belive they keep most of the time set aside for friends and family, how else can you explain over 6 months and still not able to get in. Guess Ill just give up and make the trek to Academy Beauty School in Springdale, you can always get in there

Absolutely horrible. Me and my sister in law went to get her a haircut and we were there for over two and a half hours. This is outrageous.
