The staff go above and beyond to help and assist. The coursework taught will qualify you to take the MBLEX exam & pass! Big shout out to my instructors: Mr. Rob and Ms. E for the patience they took teaching us course material. All the questions we had and the answers they gave us. Mr. Todd gave a great welcome speach that made us feel at home. Ms. Lisa is everywhere to assist our class. These people carried, we the students, during a scarey pandemic in a positive and professional manner. They impacted our lives and will never truely know how much we appreciate them. Thank you all for helping me accomplish my dream of becoming a massage therapist.

I never used to be a fan of school, was even hesitating going forward with Florida Academy. However, after my first week with Mrs.T and Mrs.C, I now am excited every day to come to school and learn from them. The way they teach is so hands on and well spoken. They play off each other and really keep class fun. They take special care to make sure youre comprehending and that theyre setting you up for success. I would recommend any program that Mrs.T and Mrs.C are apart of, you can REALLY tell they love what they do.

I highly recommend the dual CMA and Esthetician program! Mrs. Christina and Mrs. Tameesha are the best hands on teachers I’ve ever had. They have made it possible to teach in myriads of ways for different people who are needed to be taught. They are both very thorough, work off of each other to make it more understandable, and kind! I was scared to come back to school but they have made it possible and not made me question it twice. The massage program here is wonderful! The teachers go above and beyond when helping the students learn not only massage techniques, how to understand and pass the state exam, but what to expect once you join the work force. Because of them I came out understanding and knowing more than what some therapist who had been practicing for a few years already. Mr Rob and Miss E are the best!

This school is amazing! I’m at the tail end of the massage program and the educators Eliane and Rob are excellent! They do a wonderful job at portraying the content in a way that everyone can understand and will go the extra mile to make sure you understand. My experience here has been nothing short of amazing. If any of the fields they have interest you, this is the place to go. You will get a quality education and skills that are applicable in the real world. I’d recommend it to anyone!!

A great school overall. The massage teachers are amazing and so is the course.I unfortunately have to lower my rating due to the errors the school made with my licensing paperwork which needed to be sent to the state board. These mistakes have prolonged the process for my license to come and for me to start working.Its been three months since I graduated and passed the MBLEX. Im still waiting. Its a bit disheartening, but theyre trying to get it resolved.

I am a graduate of Florida Academy Cosmetology program - I completed the 1200 hour program in March of 2020. I have zero complaints regarding the program! Brittany and Karen were my instructors at the time and they were amazing! I felt comfortable going to class everyday and they made it very easy to ask questions or concerns. I never had any issues with the administration nor the instructors. I truly enjoyed my time at Florida Academy in the short 10 months I was there. As everyone is aware, March 2020 was right when the pandemic started in our area and even through those hard times the administration/instructors did what they could to make the transition to virtual school as simple and painless as possible. Luckily for me, I was set to complete the course that very week of the shut down and I was able to sit in for a couple of virtual classes in order to graduate. The salon is a beautiful place where students are able to get hands on experience with actual clients and that is so important. Brittany was always there to explain any questions I had regarding the hair industry. She also assisted in job placement when I did complete the program. I could go on and on about how much I love Brittany and Karen - they truly care about the students and if you’re willing to do your part as a student you will succeed here. I scheduled my state boards as soon as I was able to, but of course with the pandemic in full swing I wasn’t able to test until June of 2020. However, I felt very prepared with my education that I had received and continued studying and working as an assistant behind the chair for the time being. I passed both of my state exams with flying colors on my first attempt and will always be grateful for the Florida Academy Cosmetology instructors and program. Highly recommend this program if you’re serious about your career as a hair stylist.

Overall, I loved my experience here! I was provided everything I needed to receive a great education, learn the art of massage therapy, and immediately start working after getting licensed. The program is thorough, the teachers are dedicated and passionate. They make learning fun! I love my career as a massage therapist, itwas one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I JOINED THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT/SKIN CARE PROGRAM AND I LOVE IT ! This was one of my best decisions I’ve made so far . Coming into this program and not knowing much but only being in the class for a few weeks I’ve learned so much MRS.T AND MRS.C are THE BEST Teachers/Instructors ever they make sure everyone understands each lesson as a class before moving on. By far they are the best teachers I’ve had they make it’s so interesting that you wanna learn more and more . This has been a great experience so far .

I am a student in the medical assisting program, and both of the teachers are amazing. The program has many subjects in one which keeps us busy and gives us more to learn. Both teachers are kind and are involved hands on with teaching us.

Stepping into Florida Academy was the best decision I ever made, it changed my life tremendously i was jobless with a 5 month old at my parents house. Leaving Florida Academy i was confident with multiple job offers i was also pregnant but the way the educators pushed you into believing you we’re somebody any doubts i had disappeared. At Florida Academy you’re part of a family and as we all know anybody can succeed with a strong family support system. They truly are the “Harvard” of massage school!

I go to school here and I absolutely LOVE their skincare program! The teachers are very open to communication, the products are great, and the class sizes aren’t too big to keep up with individual learning and questions, even when students are receiving clients. I have a great feeling this program will strongly contribute positively to my future in this industry :)

My experience as a massage therapy student at this school was outstanding. As a massage therapy student watched a (teacher? Or someone that seemed to associate themselves with the HVAC program) and one of the receptionists make fun of and laugh about a homeless and shoeless youth this morning who came in to inquire about attending the school program.EDIT- they actually got back to me and worked to address and get more information about the above incident. They were very apologetic and tried to handle a situation that was unprofessional in the most professional way possible. Would still recommend the massage therapy program as all teachers are excellent, and provide one of the best learning experiences that Ive had to date.

I graduated from the massage therapy program in August 2020. Going to school during the start of a global pandemic was not easy, but it was the best choice Ive ever made for myself. Not only were the instructors super amazing and supportive they were extremely knowledgeable in the field of massage. They did everything they could to help us have the best experience even with online schooling which is hard to do with such a hands on program. They gave us all of the information and tools needed to pass the state licensing exam. I miss going to school every week.

I feel gratitude for the opportunity that was presented to me the day I enrolled for my training as a massage therapist. The massage teachers were fun and professional and made it a point to convey all the necessary information in several different ways.Everything one would need as far as support is offered here and I am glad to say I made a few good friends and connected with very helpful mentors through this program, too.One thing I enjoyed is there was always a strong effort to foster a community of therapists that can count on each other for support even after Graduation.No school is perfect, thats for sure... that being said, I also have to say I had many beautiful experiences here and was well prepared for my Mblex licensing exam when it was time for me to take it.

The massage instructors are the best of the best. I enjoyed learning for the first time in my life. She will literally help you and give you ACTUAL REAL criticism on everything and will end up showing you how to properly work with a nail and motivate you into becoming not good but better. This review is in regards to the massage therapy program.I was a student of Florida Academy a few years ago. During my tenure, there were quite a few bumps along the way. Ever shrinking class size, shorthanded on instructors (I went awhile without one). But despite that, Ms. E, Mr. Tony and Mr. Rob got me through it and helped me to succeed. I cannot thank them enough for all that they did. Especially Ms. E, who was teaching 2 classes for several week, which is physically impossible to do. I attended the massage therapy program from 2019-2020. When I decided to pursue massage therapy, I turned to some local LMTs for guidance regarding what the best training facility in the area was to attend. They all said Florida Academy in Fort Myers. After talking to Steve it was clear what I was meant to do. Without a single hesitation I jumped into the program to start my studies. To say that I was steered in the right direction is an understatement. I was absolutely blown away by the teachings of Ms. E and Mr. Rob. Together, they prepared me to be the best LMT I am capable of being. Very often I get complimented on my technique and knowledge and get asked where I went to school. Im a 2018 graduate of the Massage Therapy Program. My learning experience with Ms Eliane & Mr Rob was amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable & share valuable information to excel as an MT in the real world. I felt completely supported by them during my time there.My exit process with administration was less than stellar. There were delays for testing and licensing due to incomplete paperwork submitted by the school. My direct loan to the school was supposed to be deferred due to COVID but was never processed. My account ended up 2 months overdue.Overall, the instructors are the ones who really shine in this program!

Not Worth it. DO NOT Waste your time or money. Do not even bother with looking. Go to a union yeah its longer but as least they dont screw you over. Was always told growing up to go to trade school or go to college. Well, I finally did. This school has made me lose all faith that a higher education is worth any ones time or hard earned money. Trade school my butt.

I recently finished the MA program at florida academy and now doing my externship at a doctors office in Naples. I’ve been doing my externship at the Doctors office for about 2 weeks now and the doctors and worker there love me and have decided to offer me a job once I’m done with my externship.NONE of this would have been possible without the two greatest teachers Mrs. Tameesha and Mrs. Christina. I think I speak for all my classmates when I say that not only are they the best teachers but they are also the greatest friends. I use to go to FMTC for school once, and honestly when I entered Florida Academy I was a bit nervous because my teachers were not as encouraging at my old school. When I came here, my teachers Ms Tameesha and Ms Chrisitina, well they are literally the best teachers Ive ever had. I can honestly say I could not get through this without them. They arent just teachers, they are my school family. My biggest supports. I wouldnt be at the externship for medical assistant if it wasnt for them. They are the best instructors, they always make us feel welcomed, and answer all questions, as well as explain things the best way. Even during the struggle of the pandemic, I can honestly say I learned a lot.

Im currently a student and graduating from the Medical Assistant program soon. My instructors Mrs. Tameesha and Mrs. Christina make sure you understand every lesson and if you feel like you are struggling or need more practice they go that extra mile by making notes and breaking them down to help you get a better understanding. They go above and beyond for their students. Mrs Tameesha and Mrs Christina made my experience so much fun.They are absolutely the best teachers ever! Please apply for the CMA program. Its life changing and you wont regret it ! :)

DO NOT TAKE THE 903HR PROGRAM!!You will waste 8 months of your life not learning a thing. The only instructor that actually teaches you worthwhile information is Ms. Rodeen. All the teachers gossip and talk to each other right in front of students. I spent whole days there literally on my phone, I expected so much more from this program and received absolutely nothing worthwhile. Hair braiding is included in the program but I didnt learn how to braid AT ALL. SO disappointed in this school $16,000 wasted. Also the products they gave us for the advanced portion made me breakout like nothing I have experienced before. Save your money and just do the 300hr course or 600hr. My experience was not worth it.

Florida Academy is the worst school by experience. theres no future attending here. Florida Academy staff members are very unprofessional, bathrooms are always filthy and dirty, mold is a big issue in the massage training room...SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Choose another institution for hvac training, it has lacked regardless of current events there is no excuse. Taking a simple step such as limiting class size could have circumvented a large portion of areas lacking..Also, as of recently twelve modules are being crammed in three weeks, and here I ask myself why. Using critical thinking, it would seem that in order for us to graduate at our scheduled date, this has been their chosen path. But why hmm, well it would make sense in order to keep the class schedule on course(more money). Applying this method In turn negatively effects the learning process, i.e information retention.I chose a trade for the hands on experience and what I’ve become is a glorified book worm...

DO NOT go to this school. No one in administration knows what is going on. I sat for months in a class without uniforms that were supposed to be provided. The admissions office is clearly not communicating with the departments because they gave me wrong days and class times that I had originally thought I was signing up for. Had to have emergency gallbladder surgery and contacted the registrar multiple times through my student email and left messages. After no reply’s for a month, I was sent a rude email that I was withdrawn from the program and will owe money. Absolutely disgraceful that the staff has been so rude and unhelpful as well as disorganized. The day they opened the new buildings we were moved to a room with 60plus people, two classrooms separated by a divider, during the middle of a pandemic. Not surprised I got emails stating there had been a positive case, avoid this place like the plague.

Look again before you enroll for the HVAC class. This is going to be the worthless debt you will ever have, a waste of time and money. There are schools in this area offering much better training for 1/3 the price. Do your homework!

Does the school accept international students?

I currently work for Florida Academy. Everyone here truly cares about every single student! The instructors love what they do and it shows in their classrooms. I have worked at other schools in the past and by far all the employees have a true passion for what they do!

This is a great school I will be going back for many services. First to start off with Britney at the front instructor she is awesome she instructed the students and was always there when needed and was checking to make sure everything was done properly. Riley did my highlights and she did a terrific job. She will be their new up coming star. I am really picky when it comes to my hair. I was really pleased. Most of the time my highlights come out either a calico color or yellow but I didnt even need a toner. I have went to some high end hair salons with a big price tag and left and my hair was terrible but not here. I cant thank them enough on what a fantastic job they did. Thanks Britney and Riley. Florida Academy is a school that strives for excellence. As a student who recently watched an infomercial on the programs offered, I felt so much pride that I belonged to the academy. Seeing the familiar faces and hearing the voices of my instructors just warmed my heart. Why, because I know them and what they were saying was true! They are extremely knowledgeable, professional and genuinely care for their students. I made the right choice in selecting a great school and I hope others will too!

This school is great. I took the cosmetology class, and learned an amazing amount through hands on training. Everybody here truly want to see you succeed. The teachers here are wonderful. If you have the drive to learn, they will teach you the skills you need to know to become a competent and confident stylist.

Professional service. I had a massage by Dallas and he was as good at it as licensed massage therapists Ive had. Appreciate the reminder call the day before. Highly recommended.
