The aquatics director is very rude. It seems like the position is too much for this person to manage. Over the phone, I asked if I’d receive an email about what to bring to swim lessons the response was “no, what do you mean”…like I’m asking an insane question….I had to dig for the information which was (folding chair, goggles, and towels).I was also informed to come see the director for text alert information (if class is canceled). When I approached her for this information, the response was “What are you talking about? Do you have a child in a session (my wet son standing right beside), Why do you need it”. Finally she gives me the slip of paper she told me to come see her about.I bought concerns to her attention about one of the instructors not being safe with my son and hurting him immediately after the session when my son made me aware…her response was about intentions (the instructor’s intentions)…she had no way of knowing the instructors intentions…unless she’s a mind reader….absolutely no empathy.

It is a great gym, but the pool is fantastic! There are tons of fitness classes, a weight room, and fitness studios. Theres even a big gymnasium for large family friendly events or a pick up basketball game. But I go for the pool! Theres plenty of room for lap swim, but I adore the water aerobics & Aqua Zumba classes. The teachers here are the Best Ive seen. The lifeguards are very professional but friendly. And the staff are generally friendly & helpful.

This Y is AWESOME! I was greeted with a smile everytime I came to work out and it changed my attitude. My kids love the daycare, gymnastics program, and pool. Their financial assistance makes it possible for all to be a member even when times are tough and most family events are free or a couple bucks. My grandma raved to me about the great time she had at the Silver Prom event this past weekend and it brought back our fond memories of being members. We dont have memberships now so we drop in for a small daily fee, but we plan to come back soon.

Great place to work out...friendly staff, good childcare, and affordable prices for families. They also have awesome classes and opportunities for community involvement.

When we joined with a free join promotion, our account was errantly charged the $90ish monthly fee. We met with Suzy to set up our income based membership and agreed to apply that charge to the next three months (no reimbursements). After that time we were to come in with new tax documents to establish a new rate. We were told our account would be on hold starting in March until such meeting took place. Our family moved and I submitted a request to cancel the account. We got charged again anyway - Kayte citing their cancellation policy of a minimum thirty days before the next payment, and paperwork that doesnt match my recollection of agreement with the financial aid office. So to sum this up, if money is truly right for you, like it has been for us, I wouldnt trust this YMCA to be responsible with the way they withdraw money from your bank account. In my experience, its impossible to get a refund no matter how legitimate the request. And finally, the woman at the front desk always treated me like a second class citizen. Ive seen her be nice to many people, but she always had a chip on her shoulder for me.

At first The Y seemed like a great fit for us. But throughout the past few months have been unpleased with the overall conditions of this particular Y location.

Screaming kids, wet floors in the locker rooms and a cycling room not much bigger than a closet. The only plus is that the staff are inice.
