My son was nominated into the Blackbelt Club. We could not afford everything at on time. Sarah talked to Master Eric and they totally surprised us and our letting us make payments. The staff is amazing and so into making sure all the kids understand what they are doing and how to do it. We have moved an hour away and make the drive.Thank you Pro Taekwondo

Pro Taekwondo is a great school. My daughter just started after moving from a different state, and already love it. Master Erik is very professional and helpful, really working with and caring for his students and families, helping you reach the best fit for you and your family. I love how while we are starting to turn the corner on Covid, instructors wear masks and do cleaning of equipment accordingly, also provide and encourage students to use hand sanitizer. I’ve also experience temperature checks. It’s awesome to know they are very much invested in everyone’s well being in and out of the school. I’m very impressed!!

I cant say enough great things about Pro Taekwondo. I enrolled my 5 yo son because I felt he needed an activity that helped him focus as well as help him grow into becoming a well rounded child. In just a few lessons, he was already showing amazing progress. Not only in Taekwondo itself, but also in his discipline and behavior at home. All of a sudden No wasnt such a struggle. I have been taking Taekwondo at both locations in town for 3 years now, I will be earning my black belt at the end of this year. I have both my kids enrolled and one point my wife as well.I have looked around, I have toured and called other places to become a mixed martial artist. Pro Taekwondo is completely unique I had to go as far as north Jacksonville and south Tampa just to find something equivalent (hours away). They are excellent with the children, they are excellent with the adults train at your pace style of teaching. There is sparing and weapons training. Everything you need to be a successful martial artist at one spot.There are optional special classes like parents night out (they take my kids and wife and I go on a date), competition training, semi private lessons, private lessons, training boot/fitness camps. When these are held there is plenty of warning a voluntary sign up sheet and they tell you usually a month or two in advance bringing it up every class/day until the event.They are wiling to work with you if payment is an issue, I was able to work with them multiple times as my pay dates fell in between events.I give Pro Taekwondo 5 stars and more! If you are still in the fence just call them and ask to try a couple of classes.

We wanted to enroll our son when he was 3 years old. Master Eric said the age limit was 4 years old but would evaluate him to see if he might be mature enough. Instead of enrolling him and taking our money, Master Eric gave us an honest assessment and told us to come back when he turns four.We did enroll him when he turned four so our son could get some exercise, experience martial arts, and instill discipline. For the 3 years he has been there, he has received all three and more.One great thing about the lessons that the staff at Pro Taekwondo teach is they are not just focused on just the martial art aspects during class. Each lesson can be applied to life experiences outside of the class such as family and school.I would highly recommend Pro Taekwondo to all kids and parents.

I won a free months trial with Pro Taekwondo. After couple classes, I fall in love with the class. The instructors are patient and experienced. The students are supportive of each other. Together everyone creates a positive and motivating learning environment. I decided to join three weeks after I started. The instructors challenge all the students to do more every time but also set attainable goals for students to achieve. This motivates students to try harder in class but never lose confidence in themselves. I truly enjoy the learning environment in Pro Taekwondo. Above all, I love the people in this school. Instructors are wonderful teachers, and they really care about the growth of individual student. Students support each other through challenges. I have achieved more than I expected because all the support I got from both instructors and students. Taekwondo has been amazing for our 6 year old. We were having some behavioral issues and after just a few weeks we started seeing big changes. Our son loves going and has not once said he didnt want to go to class. The instructors truly care and work WITH the parents to help the children. And now they have opened another peewee class and things are running smoother and on time. Hands down, best thing we have done for our son.

Im impressed with how after only classes my 4 yr old daughter is using yes maam and no maam consistently. She is listening better already, she is encouraged at home to listen due to the reward system put in place by the instructors. The staff is pleasant and caring, and truly teach the way of taekwondo!

Emma began attending Pro Taekwondo at Tower Square following a fundraiser at her elementary school back in March. She LOVES attending and despite hurting her knee at Summer Camp, she still looked forward to attending classes and even said she had the most fun ever at her last class this past Thursday. Master Eric greets the parents when hes there, and all of the instructors (Instructors Ben, Ethan, John, Somi, and student helpers) give personalized attention during classes. As a parent, I enjoy that they combine physical fitness with principles of character building and discipline.

At first I didnt know what I was looking for, I just thought it looked cool. Id seen TV shows and movies and seen what some people can do, but I had no idea that one day Id be able to do it. Over the time Ive been here Ive grown both physically and mentally. Ive become stronger, more confident, and I have that feeling of safety that Id never expect to have and my life is just so much better. The instructors there were simply astounding and every lesson I went to I couldnt believe me eyes. The way they cooperated and helped each and every student and the way they never gave up on anybody just made being there feel so right. Now I think of it as a home.

As a student who was going through hard times, Master Erik was there to help and give me an outlet for my anger. Later down the road he gave me a chance to be an instructor for him. Ive gained so much knowledge through Pro Taekwondo about myself and improving- there is no comparison. Each class is designed to be safe, fun, energetic, and challenging for all ages. I came to this school as a transfer from another school, but Protaekwondo welcomed and immediately accepted me. One thing that this school emphasizes is family and helping each other as a community. The instructors genuinely care for each student, they even travelled for two hours just to help coach me in a three minute match.They have so many planned activities for the children at the school and for the less fortunate all around town. When I enrolled into the Pro Taekwondo school, I never thought I would be where I am today. In the beginning, I thought I honestly would hate it, and it was just some extra-curricular activity my mother forced me into. But after the first day I was there, I immediately fell in love with it. I enjoyed the activities and workouts they had, as well as the welcoming community of students and staff. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and now, almost a year, and so far Ive never had a moment where I regretted joining Pro Taekwondo. Our family has been attending Pro Taekwondo for three years. We started out needing a physical activity for my youngest son (7 at the time) who had just recovered from a serious illness. This illness had limited his mobility for over a year and he was finally feeling better. When our son was interested in martial arts, we found that Pro Taekwondo was a perfect fit for getting him active again, working on flexibility and strength, and also helping him concentrate which was hard for him to do with all that was going on. They had a great introductory deal to allow us to see if it would be a good fit for him. Since it was such a great deal, we also enrolled his older brother. His older brother was painfully shy and we thought that it would be a good place for him to gain confidence and self defense skills. I admit, I had to gently push him out on to the mat for his first class, but the instructors are so great at what they do that they made him feel so welcomed that by the end of the class, he was having a blast. To help my kids feel comfortable, my husband and I also enrolled. They have fantastic deals for adults too! We both have very busy lives, but we made a commitment that we would do this as a family. It is an active, healthy, social, and fun experience for the whole family! Each class is fun and I often find myself laughing in class as I catch my breath. It has been amazing bonding experience for the whole family! I personally signed up for many reasons, I was out of shape and needed something that required me to show up to stay committed. Doing it as a family, also kept me accountable to my kids and husband. I also signed up because even though we had been in Gainesville for a few years we hadnt felt we had made any connections outside of our workplace. On their website they had claimed that to be a place where you felt like family. I can tell you three years later that is so true! I have made many deep friendships in the class and the instructors do care about their students like family. I have also lost 30 lbs since starting Taekwondo. My husband has also lost weight and got in better physical shape. My kids are very active and with the instructors guidance have pushed their individual limits both physically and mentally. My youngest has gained better focus, strength, and flexibility, and my oldest has gained confidence both in his physical skills but also his leadership skills. They admire their instructors and happily push themselves to new limits. The lessons they teach in Pro Taekwondo go beyond teaching them Taekwondo, they sincerely strive for their students to be successful and leaders in the classroom and in their community. Likewise, the instructors care about the community and are constantly involved in volunteering and taking care of their neighbors. I can go on for longer but I want to make a couple more quick points. First, as a middle aged out of shape woman, I was initially nervous and intimidated about attending an adult class. I was concerned that everyone would be young and hardcore, which is okay but I was afraid I was going to be the oddball. I was happy to find that everyone, no matter age and ability is made to feel welcomed. In the adults, we have a wide spectrum from junior high to retirement age, and I have had so much fun working out with everyone! The instructors do an amazing job about tailoring the workouts to everyones level and desire! There are additional activities such as sparring and competitions for people that want to apply themselves. I do both to increase the number and intensity of my workouts. So no matter your age, fitness level, or skill, I cant more highly recommend Pro Taekwondo! Lastly, I want to mention again how amazing Master Erik, Instructor Somi, and all the instructors are! Not only are they truly amazing in their Taekwondo skills but they do truly care for their students. Over the years, our family has had various health issues and they have always been helpful and accommodating. So take the leap, come workout with us! You wont regret it!
