The staff told us that you will miss HS...This is a complete lie. They do not care about the students whatsoever. They only care about their stupid robots. They advertise their school as if they give a damn about the students. Only a few teachers were caring but the Principal, Vice principal, the counselors, etc did not care. Mrs. Howe was THE WORST person/counselor I have ever met. She is RACIST and insults students for not picking better classes. She does not help anyone in any way. The Principal, Mrs. Kortoshian, always dress codes the girls for wearing short pants/skirts, BUT she was always wearing short skirts herself. The school rules are very unfair as well. Overall, I do not recommend Parents sending their children to prison school. If you want your kids to enjoy their High School life, please have them go anywhere else but here.

This school is And for a multitude of reasons such as the fact that it doesn’t have a lot of AP classes, no extra activities and the teachers don’t teach. Mrs. Mikaelyan can’t teach. She literally can’t. All she says is to work in groups and try to figure it out when she knows that it’s nothing logical to figure out in the first place. I’m currently failing her class and it’s literally all because of her bad methods. As a freshmen I will be leaving this school next year and will never look back. The school is DEAD. The only good teacher I have right now is physics ( we all know who that is). The teachers are against you not for you, don’t fall for the illusion, you will regret it. School should be shut down!!! Counselor is bad the other is okay/good. Principle is okay/bad. Trust me go to a different school.

The rumors about the massive amount of homework and the extremely strict dress code made me nervous at first, but I think because you evaluated on said rumors, I dont think these will be a problem. Though I except there to be reasonable amount of stress from coming to Clark, ...no amount of failed counseling or medical help could possibly regain the loss of mental stability and high blood pressure levels of a Clark student. By reasonable ,of course, I mean to say university type stress levels ,including an immense amount of work to do outside of school ,that it makes students want to jump out of the nearest window. Other than that, its not too dreadful.

My son is in his second year and loves it. Yes, its challenging, so students cant slack off, theyre strict about dress codes and attendance and its not the typical high school experience. But for students who are focused and disciplined, who want a good STEM program, with Honors and AP classes, its a great choice. To the negative comments I suspect theyre from angry disgruntled students who may not have done well in the school. Blaming it on the teachers without taking personal responsibility, or are from neighboring schools and just mouthing off. It just might not be the right fit. My only criticism, its not diverse enough. What gives? I think I saw one person of color (African American) in my 5 visits there. And their white population in large part, are Armenian. Likely reflective of the area, but still. Other than that, cant complain.

This school has to be the worse four years of my life. The counselors are horrible (especially Susan Howe). She has this horrible attitude towards the students and plays against them instead of for them. The counselors make it LITERALLY impossible to get into the few AP classes they offer. This school barely has any AP classes and barely puts the kids into any of them ( especially Howe). Don’t even get me started about the things that Lena Kortoshian does under the table. What I will say is that she wears short skirts everyday and forces a dress standard at the same time. All the teachers talk bad about the principal (Spanish department) and agree with the students for the most part about how bad of a school it is. If you’re aiming for a university after high school don’t even think about coming here. I’ve never seen a more abusive school in my life and I’ve been through quite some schools. The only good teachers I had were Woods, Ghavam, and Davis. This school is going to ruin your college dreams and laugh at while doing it

This school needs like a hundreds of money to attend that school. WARNING! This school will give me a lots of homework. People will wear Massive strict dress code, which gave me a cancer. Teachers will be something worse than CVHS. Please do not attend this school, its very embarrassing!

Great school. Nice and safe environment for getting a beyond high school education. High standarts put students in healthy competition. I am very satisfied and proud parent.

Avoid this school as much as possible. Call this a warning to save your life. If you go to This school you are going to be overruled by the communistic dictatorship put on by the staff on campus. They also force you to wear uniform which I know you don’t mind but still gets to you. Their are still fights in this school with smoking going on in the bathrooms so it’s nothing special as far as that. I think that the lucky ones are the people that didn’t get picked to go to this school . Stay away from this school and don’t believe the hype. Bad teachers (except for Der-Gevorkian, and this other physics teacher), horrible leadership from the staff. Don’t recommend for anybody. School should be shut down.

Thank you for hiring teachers with poor background experience. Thank you for lying to middle schoolers about the experience. Thank you for having one unhelpful counselor ( we all know who she is). Thank you for being the worst school ever. All jokes aside Mr. Dale is great at his job. Thank you for having the worst staff ever (everybody in the office except for the front desk). Thank you so much for the dictatorship put on the students. Dont recommend to any parent. Its not even the students or atmosphere (its the people running the school and that one counselor)

3/8 of the teachers are awesome as for the other 5/8, republican teachers are easily spotted. There are some great opportunities for those who value school more then sleep. In constant fear for my life. Beware the potato, it will always get you when you least expect it.

Pretty nice school. P.E. teacher got suspended for sexual harassment. They have a SPED Lab, so make sure to bring your Special Education. 1,122.5 students attend this establishment, and they take care of every single one.

Mrs. HOWE IS THE WORST COUNSELOR EVER PUT IN GUSD, she should be fired immediately. Her bad attitude makes kids scared when going to her office, you know the answers going to be NO!!!! Please, dont come to this HORRIBLE and BAD school. One thing Im guaranteeing you is that your grades will go down and you will regret coming here.

This school doesnt even deserve one star to begin with. Clark magnet high school was made out to be heaven to middle schoolers by Lena Kortoshian. Her way of words made everyone think that this school is one of a kind and supposedly good for your future. Well im here to tell you that Kortoshian is wrong in every way possible. This school is a disaster. The teachers dont teach anything in class and sabotage the meaning of enrichment just to say if you need help GET AN ENRICHMENT PASS, like no you need to do your job and teach during class time!! second, this school was cursed with the most unhelpful counselor in the universe. This lady sits in her office complains about your horrible grades and doesnt let you share an opinion of your own and if you do she will mock you. Good luck taking advice from her. Third, Mrs. Kortoshian is the biggest hypocrite out there. She comes to Clark wearing super short skirts and revealing dresses yet she has the audacity to tell Clark students to wear a collar under a turtleneck. :/ Fourthly, The amount of homework this school gives for each class is crazy. You can barely have a life of your own without being bombarded with loads and loads of homework every night (half of the time you have to search up how to do online, since the teachers dont like doing there job) Fifth. There is no extra curricular activities, thats right, want to be part of choir? drama? cooking? or even the school basketball team? well I hope your happy because Clark does not provide it!! Overall this school is a key to depression, if you want your future to be ruined... be you own guest and apply for the one year contract (BTW once u sign the contract there is no way in leaving until the year is over) If not PLEASE STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL AS POSSIBLE, trust me your better of in HHS, GHS and CVHS.

COUNCELORS DONT HELP!!!!! This school didnt live up to my expectations nor did it give me a good educational backround. As a alumni of 2018 I can tell you that the school is corrupt and is doing things their way instead of the right way because they are sort of in the shadows of GUSD. DONT GO TO THIS CORRUPTED SCHOOL!!!!!!!Trust me youre kids will be better off in any other school as far as grades are conserned.

As a parent of two boys who are in their 4th year at Clark, Id like to say how much our whole family feels blessed that our boys have had the opportunity to attend this wonderful school. Both have done their best to take full advantage of the opportunities offered at this STEM focused school, and theyve done well academically and grown tremendously as individuals through being several years in student leadership. Our only regret is that there were so many opportunities (e.g. robotics, programming, cinematography, etc.) , that there just wasnt enough time to cover all their interests. Its sad that several other reviewers would rather criticize than take advantage of whats offered. Perhaps they just werent a good fit with Clarks STEM focus. But know theres a dedicated, qualified team of teachers and administrators at Clark who will help anyone interested in STEM subjects to excel in the field of their choice.

Great STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) oriented school. Their robotics team (FRC 696 Circuit Breakers) is top-notch.

Unorganized and falling apart. Ever since kortoshian has had power in her hands she is putting the school under hell. She eats while talking to students when she calls them in. If thats not enough to show you how terrible this place is I dont know what is. 9/10 teachers dont really do their job that well considering they teach at Clark. Someone needs to clean up the staff around there.

Literally every single time I have entered Ms. Howes office she is playing candy crush and she gets mad at me for catching her playing. The only reason she has a job is because of the existence of the teachers union. If you are a parent DO NOT bring your child to clark.

My son went to this school as a freshmen year and hated it. For one thing the teachers were not good and didnt teach anything. After I took my kid to Glendale High School the teachers were great, more classes, and the teachers actually thought something.

One of the finest schools around! Different culture than CVHS, GHS and Hoover, but so so worth it for many people.

All the kids are sad in this school because of the dictatorship that is put on the kids by the staff and counselors. Students struggle of the workload that the teachers put on them. DONT COME TO THIS SCHOOL.

The worst school I have ever had to deal with! Their stuff is horrible. It’s like a prison for kids. They talk to the kids and to the parents very disrespectfully and do not care about the students at all. I would never even consider taking my kid here.

PE teacher is in court for molestation and Evans-Bye is a load of absolute cancer, one of the worst classes in my life.
