This has been an amazing experience for my kids and friends are always welcome. This was a good investment for my children. The birthday party alone was worth every penny.

Please consider martial arts, my grandson who is “little dragon” age 6 has improved tremendously in his communication, focus and most of all social skills. My daughter and I are so excited for his behavioral improvement from this martial arts curriculum as he continues with each level. This is a family! We work, we play, we learn, we get stronger, we get quicker, we get smarter! I have been a student for a little over a year and a half now. This is probably the most difficult thing I have ever attempted, but also the most rewarding! Grandmaster Tippett and Master Tippett and all the instructors know exactly how to challenge us while still making it a fun experience. This is probably the best decision Ive ever made for my health and well being!

This is a whole different experience than any other Martial Arts experience.We have joined another academy two years ago and we have only spent 6 weeks then we quit as it wasnt adding a lot and it was just the same thing every time.When we decided to join AMAA, we told ourselves that we are not going to lose anything as it was a summer offer and we needed just a summer activity for the kids.But we found out that its totally unique.My 6-years old kid, who is now in Little Dragon program, has developed an amazing eye contact and his self-confidence is really improving. My 8-years old son cant wait for the next class, because simply its not just about performance, the activities are designed to take all what you learn with you through real life.Mrs. Tippett designs every single class with different and fun activities while teaching the techniques at the same time.Also, assistant instructors are adding a lovely family spirit to the academy while offering a huge help to the kids.This place is a real school that builds up real characters and provides all the values they need throughout their life.

Joining the academy has helped my child physically, mentally, and emotionally. Being ADHD he has gained confidence in himself, very respectful, more focused and learning discipline and self control. A positive environment striving for excellence. Bringing the best out of each child.

We have been exposing our son to different sports and activities since he recently turned four. So far nothing is close in comparison to the discipline, coordination, confidence, and life skills that we have seen instilled in him since beginning. Very fun and teachs you how to protect yourself

My son has struggled with self control and self discipline appropriate for his age. The skills he’s learning from his class is not only improving there, but outside in school and at home.

The tippetts run a great school always adding activities that make it fun for kids.

My four year old is in the Little Dragon program. She loves coming, and always has such a wonderful time. The instructors are so patient and kind. My daughter is on the young side for the program, but she is already started to learn basic concepts. Overall the experience i have had here has been fantastic. I look forward to bringing her here for a long time.

Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy is my second home. I have made so many memories here. I spent 12 years of my life going multiple times a week and enjoyed every moment. I met so many great people and my best friends going here. Just a great experience.

My son started here in February 2020. He loves the class, the teaching methodology, and the general upbeat atmosphere here. The instructors are great and do good job demonstrating forms and helping kids do the form correctly.In previous schools we noticed the instructors were a bit hesitant to correct mistakes. Not here, Master T keeps a sharp eye out and will stop the class to correct any issues.Our experience here has been very positive and I think we will be with the school for a long time.

My son started as a little dragon and is now part of the black belt club. The instructors are very patient with the kids and be sure to help those who are struggling. The studio is kept very clean and they have measures in place to prevent the spread of covid. I would like to see more masks being worn in the building with parents and families, in particular, but as far as their teaching style goes...they are wonderful!

Our 6 year old daughter joined AMAA about 4 months ago as her first martial arts experience. We love this place. Our daughter is always excited for class and has really improved her taekwondo skills. She is learning much more than Martial arts. There is a great character-building program where the kids learn respect, teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Additionally, the way the Tippetts run the school make it very welcoming and undaunting as new joiners. As parents, we have also learned new skills to help bring more discipline, respect, and collaboration at home with our daughter. The Tippetts are very organized and communicative. I was a student at Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy for 12 years! I earned my fourth degree black belt and my brother started in the Little Dragons program and made it to second degree black belt. I was an instructor at Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy for 5 years and I absolutely loved it. AMAA became my second family and is where I met some of my lifelong friends. Both training and teaching here helped increase my confidence, communication skills, and self-discipline. I also feel prepared to protect myself if I were to ever be in a dangerous situation. I would recommend AMAA to anyone who is looking to have their child’s character transformed. I had the pleasure of watching that happen many times over the years I was there. I am so glad that my parents decided to go with AMAA when I was younger and I honestly don’t know what my life would look like now without martial arts.

My stepson has been studying with the Masters here for over a year. He loves all of his teachers and skills that they’ve been training him in. He’s looking forward to the day he can join their black belt club.

Arrowhead martial arts is a great place for kids off all ages and young adults and adults to learn martial arts!!! Grand Master Tippett and Master Tippett are phenomenal with the kids and my kids love it!!!! I would strongly recommend Arrowhead martial arts to everyone of all ages!!! We can’t wait for our youngest to get into the program! That also offer date night for the parents to go to dinner for a few hours while the kids learn new life skills and Jedi training and nunchucks and the list goes on !!!! I am a long time student and 2nd degree black belt at AMAA. AMAA has transformed my life through fitness, focus, and confidence through self defense training. Classes are closed knit with a family-like team atmosphere. I highly recommend anyone looking to learn self defense, develop leadership skills, or even just get in shape look into AMAA. Even with covid-19 shutdowns, the owners made every attempt possible to keep classes going, first with video classes, then with mixed video/live classes, so you can count your on AMAA being there for you for the long haul.

Arrowhead martial arts has changed my 5 year olds behavior around for the better!! He listens so much better and we are really working on respect. Arrowhead really emphasizes on building good character and not just self defense.

I have two kids, my daughter started in the Little Dragon program and my son in the Basic program two months ago. They both LOVE the program and have embraced the emphasis on respect and being kind. The structure they have set for kids to understand the values and achieve goals is so effective in keeping them motivated both inside and outside of the studio. The owners Master Tippett and Grand Master Tippett are hands on in the classes and very knowledgeable, professional and set the curriculum age appropriate. All of the other staff and instructors and nice and understanding to the kids needs. We love this studio so much I just recently signed up as well and Ive already gained some great self-defense knowledge.

I have been going here for five years, and have had a really positive experience, training at Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy has changed my life in a good way forever!

Awesome school! They have a great class for 4-6 year olds that really helps reinforce core values we teach our kids at home in the academy! And they have things in place that let kids to advance so they gain confidence and do not get discouraged or bored with learning at the academy! Great school that all kids should check out and great instructors!

This is our 8 y/o son Corwins second martial arts studio and we have been extremely happy with Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy. Master Tippett and his wife are amazing instructors and have achieved the perfect balance of teaching Taekwondo by instilling modesty, courtesy, integrity, self-control, perseverance, discipline and respect in their students in a perfect family oriented manner which is not intimidating or overwhelming. The students at this studio will acquire skills which allow them to succeed for the rest of their lives.We absolutely love this studio. Thanks : )

Both my kids have gone here, with my oldest now attending. The facilities are clean and well organized. The instructors maintain a high level excellence and professionalism when teaching and Master Tippet (Owner) has been teaching for many years and has extensive knowledge on martial arts in general.The place definitely feels like a family. Everyone is very friendly and all the instructors are easy to talk to and very helpful. This is a TRADITIONAL school so theres a alot of importance put on respect, culture, mentality and character as much as the physical aspect of martial arts. Everyone is respected equally despite age, gender, or rank & there is definitely no elitist mentality.

Ive been going to AMAA for almost 2 years. AMAA is over priced. they try to get you into pogroms that cost hundreds of dollars even going to AMAA for one year costs at least like $200. they dont teach you at you own pace mainly if your an over achiever (like me). i have changed Ive become more motivated, mature, become an over achiever. but i is really expensive.

My son has been going to AMAA since he was 13. Since then he has learned discipline and maturity. The classes are self paced and the instructors work with each child or adults skill level. Even if you go for a short time you are sure to learn something about yourself and what strengths you possess. AMAA you rock!

When we signed our son up for the Lil Dragon program over 7 years ago, we werent sure what we were getting into, but we are so glad we did. Our son is a 2nd Degree Black Belt at 13 years old. He trains at AMAA 4 days a week and is a Junior Instructor on top of that.As he progressed through his years, AMAA requested notes from his teachers and us as his parents ensuring that Robby was following the Black Belt Attitude. Ive always appreciated that. It really reinforced the ideas, from the academy, to school all the way to home.Master Tippet and Mrs Master Tippet have a true wish for their students to do well. Mrs Master Tippet was Robbys first instructor and now that he is a Black Belt, she treats him as an equal in the Black Belt class. They teach a kind of respect at the academy that is lost in other places.It truly feels like a family! There are other families that have been going to the academy for many years and we are glad that our son has such great friends and role models.I love that they encourage family participation. As parents, we sit along the mat and we can clap and cheer and yell on for our child, or their friends. We are encouraged to provide positive reinforcement. So many of the parents actually participate in the Black Belt Challenge mountain run. It is great to see so much family support!He has learned traditional TKD forms along with some awesome creative weapons forms and he looks forward to many years of training at Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy.

This review applies to the pre-kindergarten program called lil dragons.The place is left to be run by young teenagers, they mean well but their lack of behavior management skills is evident.Ive watched for several months now and the same thing happens every time. The children who have difficulty with the steps are sent to the back of the class away from the instructors. These children often just stand there in confusion, only catching a few things here and there. Its clear that these young instructors have no clue as to how to motivate a group of children and keep them focused.Another problem AMAA has is a big one. The objectives the children need to meet to advance (earn stripes,belts etc.) are not ever explained to them. Even when the child earns a stripe it is not explained to them what they did to earn it. If you ask a child how they got a particular stripe they almost all say the same thing I dont know.Lastly and what really opened my eyes about Arrowhead Martial Arts Academy, is they have no emergency plans or even a basic first aid kit. When one child got cut during class it took 8 minutes for a bandaid to be found (luckily a mother had one in her purse). And the method of choice for cleaning the few drops of blood on the mat... paper towels, nothing else. My recommendations for AMAA would be: Basic Life Support (BLS) training for all employees, a first aid kit clearly mounted on a wall, posted emergency plan, and proper infection control for bodily fluids including PPE and training for the employees.
