My children are thriving here! They love their teachers and the other kids that they have met. They are both staying above standards for grade level. I highly recommend this school!

My son Zach had a nightmarish experience in the fourth grade at this highly overrated school. His homeroom teacher Mrs. Simmons gave me very strange and seemingly trivial feedback about my son. I think she just didnt like him. Zach looked out the classroom window one too many times instead of having his eyes riveted to Mrs. Simmons, and I think it offended her. Mrs. Simmons complained about Zach until I called her bluff and took Zach to a pediatrician and a psychiatrist, who found nothing wrong with him. Then she started singing and dancing to a different tune about how wonderful my son was. I think the principal had a talk with her. All the kids failed assignments and tests in Zachs language arts class, and the teacher laughed it off by saying I guess kids dont like reading boring texts. The classes are overcrowded and bullying is common. I am glad my son no longer attends this awful school!

This our 2nd year at Greensboro Academy. They have done a great job with accommodating the parents who have opted to do remote learning the duration of the school year. My son’s teacher Mrs. Yates has been very helpful, and readily available with this transition. I would say that we have been through an unimaginable time, however the school has exceeded my expectations in navigating through the changes while still staying committed to Academic excellence and Moral Focus. Great Job Greensboro Academy.

I love that school when I was in 8th grade. I had a best teacher named Mr. Lowman, he was the best math teacher I had in my whole life time. SERIOUSLY!.He was great. I love that school and when I graduated 8th grade, I cried to mom that can I stay in that school forever.

This school is horrible they force you to go to school in snow. If a public school saw snow the school day is immediately canceled but at this school we would go during a blizzard

Mrs. Sarah Hicks, has put her heart and soul into the life’s of hundreds of children in her 20 plus years of teaching. She and her teammates sincerely think outside the box at times, because every child needs to be successful. Children learn in many different ways. This school has set the bar for education extremely high. I know for a fact this is a high moral, and encouraging place for all students and staff. Our children only have one shot at life, so we want great teachers leading the children in the areas needed in this ever changing world.

As a former 8th grader at Greensboro Academy, I absolutely love this place. The teachers care about us, our easy work is above the normal level, the moral focus is actually educational(compared to other schools), and middle school even has recess. The students here are all very privileged but they dont realize it. Absolutely no one bullied, even though some of the other reviews say they are, but everyone who wrote those have all left. Now, sometimes the punishments for the old trend bottle-flipping are a bit cruel, but nobody does that anymore. Anyways, Greensboro Academy is absolutely fabulous, the staff are all very kind and caring, the education is well above level(for every grade), and specials classes have changed a lot and now, it seems, that they are all more fun and and helping. Thank you for reading my review, and and this is an amazing school. Trust me, Ive been here 7 years and, sadly, not counting.

As of writing this I am currently in eight grade as this school. I would like to advise all parents who are reading the reviews to ignore all the other ones and just read this one. The reviews written by the other students who went to the school were not the smartest of sorts. They always got themselves into trouble and blamed it on the teachers. I think this school is very devoted to their students and cares for all of us very deeply. The middle school Dean and principal have both used ideas from people I know and incorporated then into our daily schedule. Not only do they treat the students well at this school but the adults are listened to and appreciated for all they do at this school. I myself have gotten into trouble plenty of times throughout my time here but I still think this school is a perfect place for any child. No one has ever asked me or any of my friends to go to the bathroom with them, no one I know has just been punched randomly, and no one I know is actually being bullied. Send your child here is you want a good atmosphere to grow up in. I love this school and it brings tears to my eyes knowing I have to leave everything at this school in June.

I didn’t go here for long, in fact I only went my 8th grade year, and to be completely honest kids here are not very welcoming to other kids who haven’t gone there since before middle school. They don’t know who you are and never really make an effort to learn who you are, when you can fit the either grade into one classroom and yet people still never make an effort to get to know the new kids it’s pretty messed up. The kids here are also extremely rude to their teachers and tend to act very entitled. Which is a downside to charter schools, a lot of these kids think they can have everything handed to them which is never the case. The workload is a good amount, for it’s not too much but also not too little. I was only there long enough to have been taught by 5 teachers (if you include the elective I took) but they were very good teachers. Even if you didn’t like their attitude or how they gave you lunch detention for talking when you weren’t supposed to, they were very good.Although, if you’re looking for a school where kids aren’t very dramatic and gossipy then this isn’t a great one. There is a lot of unnecessary teenage drama that goes on around there but you get that in a lot of different schools, regardless of type. Teenagers are just like that. Though, rumors and gossip tend to spread very fast in that tiny portion of the hallway. When it comes to the topic of lunch, I believe it could do to be a bit longer, as middle school students recess isn’t needed, really, but it’s fun, and maybe adding a little more time to lunch and a little less to recess would be nice.In the end, the school is not all that bad, but in order for me to have had a better experience I should’ve gotten into the school before the 8th grade so I could really expirence it. My opinion is just that, an opinion, I didn’t accomplish as much as my peers who had 9 years under their belts but for a short amount of time it was nice to have a school that cared if you passed and would help you If you only just asked.

The school is very small and there are not many people at all... the elementary school is great but the middle school is torture. Too much work is given and some of the teachers are very uptight and rude and punish you for no reason. Also in some classes you dont learn a single thing and then get blamed for having terrible grades.
