We love Taekwondo America! The staff are great with the children and adults alike. It is family owned and many of the staff trained under the current owner. Supporting local business is something I love to do. Even with the pandemic of 2020 they have found ways to keep their pupils active.

My daughter wanted to try taekwondo and Im so glad we found this place. It has really helped with her balance, flexibility, and strength, as well as given her a lot of confidence. Chris Penn is great with the kids!

Watch out! The first class is free and its so addictive you wont be able to stop! First my daughter was hooked, then me, then my wife and other daughter. Four years later and we have a whole family of black belts.Its a great way to get or stay in shape. Mr. Penn has been teaching Taekwondo for over 15 years and it great at making it fun and challenging for all ages and fitness levels.If you want to learn martial arts, or just want a fun way to get in shape, Greensboro Taekwondo America is the place to go!

My young daughter has begun to blossom in class. All of the instructors are so kind to the children, especially the shy ones. It took her a few classes, but now she confidently walks into class and is learning so much. And I have seen the same kindness with other children. I highly recommend them.

I signed my two boys up for taekwondo this year and we have had the best experience. They love coming to class and learning new moves. I have seen their confidence levels sky rocket and would not dream of taking them anywhere else. The instructors are great and work well with the children. I appreciate the values they are instilling in them.

As a woman, learning self defense was important to me. Before I found Taekwondo America, I looked at several martial arts schools throughout Greensboro. I walked through the doors of Taekwondo America in 2004. I was excited to learn martial arts. After attending a beginners class, I was hooked. I liked everything about it. The discipline, the training, the skilled instructors, and the friendships created over the years, kept me coming back for more!Ten years later, I continue to enjoy learning under Mr. Penn. Hes a great instructor. Oh yeah, earning the rank 4th degree senior black belt is rewarding too. :)

My kids were very nervous at first but by the end of the first lesson they were hooked. The instructors are approachable, encouraging and very adept at engaging young kids. My kids are eager to learn and demonstrate what they have learned. Advancement to their yellow belt has given them great new confidence. Thank you!

I have two children enrolled and would recommend it to anybody looking to start their journey in martial arts. The teachers are knowledgeable and helpful and will work with the student to attain their goals. The families, students, and staff are all friendly and courteous.

Its a good place to be in. Teachers are doing good job on teaching the kids the moves. My son loves this place because the way they are teaching and the new friends he got. I recommend this place to any one interesting.

My fiancé and I were trying to find some type of activity we could do together to stay in shape. We drove pass the school for years and decided to go and try out a class. We were hooked after one class. The instructors are wonderful - they were students themselves so they are able to relate to every one, every and every skill level. There are children and adults of all ages. Dont think you cant do it - come out and at least try. It is a great work out and it truly is like a second family.

My daughter has been a student here for a while and she absolutely loves it. There are a wide range of students from small children to adults, and the instructors have created a positive and open environment for education. We are looking forward to her attending classes for years to come.

We signed our daughter up a year ago. She had tried a lot of different activities before making her way to Taekwondo America. Nothing really clicked. Wed have to pull teeth to go to practices and games which took all the fun out of doing the activities in the first place. I could tell after her first couple of classes at Taekwondo America she had found her home. With each belt her confidence level soars, and having clear and achievable goals keeps her driven and motivated. This all happens in an environment of mutual respect, encouragement, and kindness. The instructors are good people who want to see the children succeed. They also allow certain students to guide younger or newer members. Weve been thrilled to see our daughter connect with her passion here and are grateful for how the instructors engage and nuture that in her.

The owners and instructors genuinely care about the students. They are down to earth and make it fun for the students. This school is highly recommended.

Our family has been training TKD with Greensboro Taekwondo America (previously Davis Taekwondo America) since 2009. We all love to workout here at least 3 times a week. Mr. Penn is a gifted martial artist and an awesome instructor. If you are looking for a place for your kids or yourself to workout, this is the right place for you that you will feel like a 2nd home with full of friends and extended families here.
