Great school!! All of the teachers and staff make certain that students are safe and well taken care of. Mendenhall is diverse and well rounded both academically and socially. Overall wonderful experience! Go Mustangs!

This school has been the worst school my kids have ever attended. I dont recommend anyone send their kids there. This year the came up with some rule about grades so a lot of kids can not play sports. You will never need to worry about me supporting this school. My plan will be to have my son enroll in another middle school. Congratulations Ms. Kristen Vecchione.

I live by making the best of any situation I am in no matter the circumstance and teach my children to do the same. At Mendenhall I thought we were in good hands with people who were concerned about providing a good education...a fair education without bias to all...this was not the case. If you are not in their; high class braquet (payscale and lifestyle); in what they consider a respectable age group, or worst of all skin tone (without the high pay scale). Then you can count yourself at the bottom of their priority or concern. They will classify you, thinking that you are not intellectual enough to pick up on the fact that there is stereotyping and racism going on at a undertoned level and that are just telling you anything to appease you or pacify you at the time. This is not everyone there are some teachers there that are genuine, however, these were far and few enbetween. Although, I felt the racism and stereotyping from the beginning, I dealt with it because Mendenhall is a good school (just not for everyone). I tell you this if you have a kid of color MENDENHALL IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT THEM TO GO. That is of course unless you stay under their radar and do not push them to have to put in effort to know your child as a person and student and not just another number adding to their schools roster of colored enrolled to be able to say Mendenhall is a diverse environment. I did not want my children to leave at first because I thought having them in quote unquote a good school was a big deal, I am happy we left because now they attend schools where they are not and we are not as individuals or a family stereotyped, classified, lied to, belittled or treated with any level of racism. But where they are people with a purpose. I have learned throughout this that a good school is not just a good school because of its community status but by the level of humanity, humility and respect and equality that it has toward the students and parents.

Good teachers, my son makes over a 3.3 every semester. Some teachers are gossipy about certain students though
