GRANDMA’s Daycare is amazing. When we were ready to have children we looked at all daycares, but ultimately realized our children would get the most love, support and knowledge from a loving family that provided home daycare. Both our children advanced so quickly and we believe it has to do with Shelem’s program. We were devastated when we had to relocate out of state. Our oldest STILL talks about Grandmas daycare and her best friends she made❤️

This daycare/preschool is a hidden gem! Before finding Shelem, our daughter attended amother daycare and was just not enthused to go. Our daughter learned and grew so much with the care and love of Shelem, Victor, and Jessica! The foundation of learning with Shelems program is incredible. Our daughters skills and specific gifts were recognized and homed in on in addition to the Spanish immersion she received through her care with Grandmas daycare. I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience. They are simply the best!

We love this daycare. It was so hard leaving my infant and going back to work, but Ms. Shelem made it so easy. I know he is loved during the day, and a happy baby! From updates and pictures, she keeps me feeling safe knowing someone is loving him so much and taking the best care. We can’t wait for our son to grow up in her care. We are lucky to have found her.

Hands down the best daycare weve attended. Ms. Shelem, Mr. Victor, and Ms. Jessica take extraordinary care of our daughter and her friends. They follow an advanced curriculum focusing on all facets of learning. Im most impressed by their inclusion of the younger kids (including my daughter) in all of the structured preschool-level activities, tailored to each childs abilities in an effort to grow their understanding of the world (not just school).

My Daughter started here when she was 2 years old. She is now 3.5, and we love this center more every day! Ms. Shelem, Ms. Jessica & Mr Victor makes you feel like family, they have an amazing curriculum, they offer a variety of healthy and fresh food every day, and they send out the food menu and activities planned at the very beginning of each month.. also to mention they try to teach speak Spanish which I personally appreciate because the more languages kids are exposed at early age they learn more.

If anyone in Herndon, Reston, or Sterling is looking for daycare, preschool or summer camp, we highly recommend Grandma’s Daycare!! The perfect balance of an intimate and loving setting with the structure and lesson plans of a larger center & preschool. Has all state and local certifications. The family provides wonderful care and education. Our daughter is thriving and looks forward to going each day.

If you need an amazing in home daycare this is the place! Mami Shelem and Mr Victor are amazing! Their home is welcoming, and they love every child in their care. They provide learning opportunities, field trips, healthy meals/snacks, but most of all love and caring. Our daughter went there from age 3 months until kindergarten; where she was totally prepared school. We can’t thank Shelem and Victor enough for everything

If there is a spot open here, TAKE IT! I cant say enough good things about Grandmas Daycare and Preschool. My son was there from 9 months until he went into Kindergarten and my youngest was there for only a year until we moved to California. I have seriously considered moving back just so my son could be back at Grandmas Daycare and receive love, attention and a great education.This isnt just a place where you child will be safe while you work. They follow curriculum (even for the infants) that they share with you and provide updates on how your child is completing milestones. They have fun singing, learning new skills, playing, and learning structure in life. Mami Shelem follows all guidelines, goes through extra training every year just to be up to speed with changes in education. You are greeted every morning with a smiling face. If Mami Shelem ever had a bad day I never saw it and neither do the kids.If you are looking for a warm, loving, nurturing and educational environment for your child this is the place!
