I went here years ago when the school was pretty new. I have nothing but wonderful memories of my classmates and teachers. We enjoyed a very well rounded academically sound education. If I lived in that area still I would have all of my kids attending such a wonderful place. I attended 18 schools over the years and this was by far one of the best.

My son started at kindergarten and is currently in 5th grade. It has been the best decision we have made to enrolled him at Nysmith school. The school program is well balanced, with the schools projects, field trips, clubs, music, and other activities my son enjoys every day at school. He speak highly of the teachers who are very caring and makes learning fun for them. Thank you Nysmith School.I would encourage every family to visit Nysmith school and you will be amazed withwhat this school has to offer your child in learning.

This is an excellent school, well worth the cost. We found it when my daughter was five years old, and never really considered going anywhere else. The teachers are great, the atmosphere is nourishing, students are given individual attention... in short, it feels like a family. The program usually goes 1-2 years ahead of the grade level and is well-balanced to keep it fun but to challenge kids enough so that they are not bored. There are always two teachers in a class and I dont recall a class size larger than 18.

I have been here since kindergarten. This school is amazing and the teachers are nice, friendly, and helpful. The work is mostly challenging and the projects are fun. The overall curriculum has helped me to learn and grow so much. I have learned a variety things ranging from Spanish to WW1. I am in sixth grade, and proud to be a student at Nysmith School for the Gifted

Our daughter has thrived at Nysmith over the last 4 years. After struggling to find a school that was a good fit for her, we are thankful that we made the investment in Nysmith; she has made tremendous strides academically.

Nysmith is a great school. I was only here for two years but I learned a lot. We went on several field trips that weren’t just random but they supplemented what we learned in the classroom. The homework felt excessive at times, but in the long run, I developed a work ethic that has really helped me in high school.

Nysmith is the best school in Virginia. I have been there since beginners.

I went here and it was actually the worst school I have ver been to and I have been to 8. Most of them were public schools.

Our family has attended Nysmith for 9 years - the school has helped our children reach their potential above and beyond any of expectations - we cant imagine our kids going anywhere else!
