The facility is fantastic with great outdoor spaces and an adorable woodland themed decor. The current director is a solid ECE instructor. Many of the teachers are very pleasant. That said, if your child does not fit in with the culture of this center please move them sooner than later because they will likely not be integrated well.My 3 year old attended here for three months. Hed been in daycare in a church associated PDO before so on the surface this was nothing new. He started a week into the school year and all reports that week were that he was screaming, running, crying, and hitting in class. Not unusual for a 3 year old but not acceptable in a class. But it never got better.Every day I was met with reports about how my child upset the rest of the children in class. His potty accidents were met with irritation and we resorted to putting him in a pull up everyday even though he was potty trained and wed told him that diapers are for babies. My husband and I asked if we should do a sit in or some observation as our son didnt act up as badly as they reported at home, in other care programs, or at our church and maybe we could see what in the environment might be setting him off that staff unfamiliar with him couldnt see. The answer was no. We had him evaluated for autism/adhd at the directors request to see if that was a factor. It was not. Over the course of two days communication escalated from the director asking us about where we were in the evaluation process (email received the same day as the last eval session) to two days later an email stating that hed hit another child so that day would be his last.Hitting is not okay. Screaming is not okay. And centers need to be safe for all children. But my husband and I were insulted by getting an email stating that that day, a Thursday, was our childs last day at school and that we can stop by the office to discuss if we wanted. We also did not appreciate the attempted gaslighting of the director saying that we were defensive and hard to comminicate with when we tried for three months to end behaviors that we didnt witness and were confused by. Thank goodness our employers were understanding while we juggled shifts in order to cover the care that had been pulled out from under us.Our son now attends another care center where he seems to fit in better with the center culture. Weve not heard reports of misbehavior and he does not have potty accidents (and comes home in dry clothes, no pull ups). So, I would say that if you are inclined to give it a try, do so. Their program may work for you and your family and child. But if you run into any problems than do that - run. Your problems are unlikely to be resolved.
