Initially, the school kept our son challenged and engaged, and his growth was remarkable during his first few years there. His first two teachers did an excellent job cultivating his love of learning. The past couple of years have been another story - significant staff turnover and an overall focus that seems to have shifted to how big can the school get. Its better than a lot of options, but its not what it was. The culture in particular has declined.

The staff and teachers demonstrate true love and care for our daughter. That in combination with a challenging learning environment and dedication to excellence have resulted in our daughter thriving at the school. An unwavering commitment to a biblical worldview help support what my wife and I are instilling in our daughter as Christ followers.

We have three girls that attend Arma Dei Academy. This is our 6th year at the school. We are deeply thankful for the leadership, teachers, and faculty. The school links arms with parents and has a true and genuine love for their students. We have been deeply blessed by this school and the education our children have received is excellent. Two of our children are not ‘academic’. However, their teachers have gently and lovingly come alongside them, supporting them both in the classroom and out. As a sign of our dedication, we (and numerous other families) drive 20 miles, one-way, to school. And it’s worth every inch.

We are thrilled to have found Arma Dei! Our children were at another Christian school in the area for years, and we were hesitant to leave but we are now kicking ourselves for not making the move sooner. The academic and admissions standards lead to an amazing learning environment for all students and the small class sizes ensure individual attention. The teachers are excellent and really care about all of the kids. We are so happy with our school!

Discovering this school has truly been an answer to my prayers as a mother desiring and seeking an abundant Christian education with a challenging and rigorous curriculum. Arma Dei has figured out how to provide this in a fun and loving environment in which the children thrive! You will not understand or believe the level of academic excellence, character building, love for Christ, accountability, structure, and all around rich and solid education until you actually see with your own eyes. This is made possible at the open houses which run from November - May. My children are excited to go to school and feel safe and loved by each and every staff member they encounter each day. When it comes to private education, my standards are very high and Arma Dei meets if not exceeds those standards. My mind is at ease knowing our family values are being reinforced at school, and I am at peace knowing that my children are experiencing an unmatched Christian based education provided by extremely educated teachers with a love and a passion not only for teaching, but also for Christ.

You feel Jesus at Arma Dei. His fingerprints are all over. We love that were in partnership with a school with a strong biblical and academic foundation that loves, prays for and guides our children. A true investment into their lives and their future. The communication with the parents is wonderful as well. Families are encouraged to be involved. I absolutely love the community, but mostly love how the teachers are so aware of each individual child. Your child is seen and heard.

We love everything about this school, especially the academic, spiritual and character development our kids receive. Other bonuses include small class sizes, sticking to trusted methods instead of following the latest and greatest in education, developing leadership with students (corporate prayers, presentations to large groups), minimal technology in the classrooms, following the word of God, promoting community with the families and maintaining a culture of like-mindedness.

If I could rate lower than this I would. This is a true review not from an employee or board member. My daughter attended this school for kindergarten and first grade. As a parent this to date is my biggest parenting regret. This school broke her in every way possible. She cried everyday going to school.This school has a complete lack of competent leadership from the board through the administration. The lack of accountability as well as infrastructure to run a successful school is not there. At one point the board offered to pay for my daughters tutoring but never did. It was discovered on alternate testing that she did not have the skills she needed however the school said she did. I should have left then but stayed an additional year hoping it would improve.Additionally there is no synergy across curriculum. Each teacher does as he/she pleases which does not bode well for the students. Many teachers do not have a teaching degree or license. If you needed medical attention you would not go to a person who was passionate about medicine you would go to a doctor. If I’m spending a lot of money a year on education I want qualified people teaching my kids. This school does not have the qualified people it needs. Report cards are a joke. They do not accurately and consistently evaluate students. They are confusing and very subjective.This was the worst decision we have ever made. Our daughter did outside testing and tested on the gifted side however she did not learn in the box of copying things off the board and the box that Arma Dei forces her into. We are so grateful to not be there anymore as even in recent weeks the policy changes have been happening at this school are making it worse not better. If this is what Christians look like we do not want any part of it. If we can save just one person from attending this school from this review it was successful. There are not enough words for our dissatisfaction and pure disgust for this school.

Our kids have attended Arma Dei for over five years. It has been an amazing experience them and for our favmily. The teachers are wonderful, the academic standards are high, and the instruction in Christian Faith has been great. Were thankful for the chance to partner with them. Highly recommended.

This is our 6th year at Arma Dei Academy and we love this school. It has been an incredible blessing to our children and to our family as a whole. With the public schools becoming increasingly cultural, we knew before our oldest entered Pre-K that a Christian education was what we wanted. Adding the Classical model to that has created a school environment better than we could have imagined.We are entirely convinced that the Classical Christian model is the best education model and that it will serve our children well as they enter adulthood and recognize Gods plan for their lives.Arma Dei fulfills their mission of teaching a Biblical worldview through all subjects and preparing our children to be purposeful in all that they do. As for community, we are overwhelmed by the love and support the families have for each other. Parents embrace each others students with love and concern.There are so many benefits to enrolling your student at Arma Dei Academy and we encourage any family who is looking for a better option than public or charter schools to visit the school. Truly, you can see and feel Gods hand at work.

Our children have learned so much during their time at Arma Dei and they both love learning. The teachers at this school truly care about character development and engaging with the students while teaching a challenging curriculum. The curriculum here is largely taught through discussion and hands on activity as opposed to having the kids fill out a bunch of worksheets which helps the kids gain a greater depth of understanding in all subjects.

We love this school. The mission statement and vision statement are sound and Christ -Centered and enduring. Thank you for this great experience.

Overall we’ve been pleased with teachers, other families are amazing, community building is great and our children really love their friends. It is clear the mission of the school is to put God first.

Arma Dei has greatly blessed our family. Our girls are challenged, love school, and come home telling us about all of the amazing things they learn about. We love the small class sizes and the bond that develops between kids in this Classical Christian environment.

Sending our child to Arma Dei Academy is one of the best educational decisions we have ever made! The faculty is world-class and there is an intimate sense of community among the families. Most importantly, however, is the synthesis of Christian Worldview with high academic standards, which is a hallmark of the Classical Christian model of education. So thankful for this school!

Truly they seek Christ in all things, they teach truth unapologetically, and desire that the students be well-versed in all subjects so they can be lifelong learners and educated participants in society.

We are very grateful we found Arma Dei! Arma Dei knows its story well and sticks to its mission. Small class sizes. High standards for academics including math and science with a strong biblical foundation. Kids regularly get outside for play. Lots of variety - music, art, chapel. No/little homework! Chapel is always very well done and compelling. Lots of opportunities for family engagement.

With so many options in Douglas County there are three reasons why we chose Arma Dei and could not be happier. One, community. We didnt realize it at the time but actually knowing the other parents, all the teachers, students greeting you in the hallway and opportunities to plug in have become invaluable to us. Second, the academics. Our child did test gifted and he does get easily distracted if not challenged. Arma Dei has provided not only the challenge for him to thrive but the support to develop areas where he is not gifted. The teachers are very hands on and know where their students are performing both academicially and from a character standpoint. Arma Dei is academically very strong but cares just as much about developing a childs character which can sometimes get lost in education.Finally, it really is on mission to Glorify God. The school participates in outreach in the community and supports the families in need in the school and around. Everyday my son is taught from a Biblical worldview but its not from a bubble- its real life and that is important to us.If your considering Arma Dei, please tour the school, ask questions and look around, you will not be disappointed.Its truly a wonderful education for the whole family!

The Kindergarten class our daughter was in was not ideal for her so we started to look around. We came across Arma Dei and were blown away by their educational philosophy. The knowledge and character of the students impressed us. Arma Dei was gracious enough to allow us to enter in midyear.Our daughter is on the shy end, and witnessing how the teachers (not just the Kindergarten teacher) and the administration went out of their way to welcome our daughter and make sure she thrived was overwhelming. They keep the class sizes small and you can see the benefit in the individual attention. Our daughter is grown leaps and bounds in not only her writing, reading, and math, but also in her character and attitude.We also have loved the classical approach and the integration of faith, which mesh so well. Finally, we had a rough year financially and the school worked with us to make the finances work. We have been very grateful how Arma Dei Academy has journeyed with our family.
