We started at Westside in 2019 and couldnt be happier. The school is doing a tremendous job at keeping our children safe, learning, and genuinely happy. The teachers and families work in collaboration to meet each students needs. The holistic approach is much appreciated!

I absolutely love Westside Montessori! The teachers and the staff are so welcoming and I’m very happy with the curriculum as it it catered to each student. The whole atmosphere promotes holistic learning and my children are extremely happy and excited to go there.

Westside Montessori is a wonderful school with excellent curriculum and materials as well as well-trained, caring teachers and staff. They have a strong community of families and several events spaced throughout the year to help families, new and old, connect and enjoy time as a family. There are several programs available including half-day, academic day and full day so that you only pay for the care that you need instead of everyone paying a flat tuition fee. Partial day programs can also add early or late care to help with different work schedules. My daughter started in the toddler program just before the pandemic hit so her transition was delayed a few months until in-person learning resumed in the fall. I was so glad though that the school had time to prepare the classrooms and staff to be clean, safe and social-distanced. I’m so glad she will be able to stay at Westside through middle school instead of transitioning through several public or private schools through the years. Montessori offers children opportunity for lots of movement in the classroom and more independence in directing their studies, as well as opportunities to help younger students within their age group. Characteristics I believe to encourage wonderful qualities like self-motivation, confidence, self-discipline, character, empathy, responsibility and independence. We are so glad for the opportunity to be at Westside and so excited for her to be setting out on her Montessori journey!

Our children have had a fantastic experience at Westside Montessori. From the moment you walk through the front door and are greeted by the staff you can feel the warmth and sense of community. The teachers are so dedicated and committed to nurturing the children and making sure that each receives a quality education. When our youngest was in primary and was struggling with printing his bs and ds his teacher immediately recognized his frustration and so as not to discourage him she allowed him to try cursive. He excelled in cursive handwriting and never made those mistakes. She of course continued practicing his printing with him, but gave him another task which he could do that would motivate him. Thats just one example of the care and creativity put into teaching that the faculty exhibit at WMS. The administration has also been very responsive and supportive of families, especially during the upheaval that Covid has caused.

Our children started preschool at WMS and are now in Lower Elementary. From spending time in the classroom over the years, I knew how wonderful their teachers are - kind, thoughtful, and patient, with such beautiful individual connections with every child. They know how to find the best in each student, working with their personal strengths and weaknesses to allow them to flourish.It wasnt till COVID virtual schooling, however, that I realized quite how special our school is. While so many people around us are struggling with keeping their kids interested and engaged, our kids are thriving. They adore their creative assignments and take such pride in their accomplished work that they often want to work on projects at weekend. Their teachers make the lessons so exciting and engaging that the kids forget that its learning.We cant wait to get back to in-person schooling, but till that happens, we know that our children are in the best hands. Regular newsletters and dashboards from administration keep us abreast of all school activities and celebrations. Whenever were struggling, the teachers are so responsive and helpful - texts, emails, and phone calls happen several times a day for our house. I dont feel like Im alone in this homeschooling adventure. The it takes a village proverb has never proved truer.Thank you to all the teachers and staff at Westside Montessori School!

I am truly grateful for the experience with the school - the teachers and staff are committed to develop each and every student, helping them to critically think and discover their sense of self. My son started his first year of his high school this year and the preparation from Westside Montessori has helped him both academically and socially. The school has a strong community feel, the support for the students and families continues to show value especially during the time of COVID. Definitely recommend this school!

My daughter has been at Westside Montessori for 9 wonderful years. She began in their primary program and this year she will be graduating from the middle school program; my daughter is sad she’s leaving what she considers her second family. The faculty and staff at Westside are wonderful and dedicated to providing a nurturing environment with rigorous academics coupled with the belief of community service and responsibility. The teachers are committed to know and educating the whole child, and they build authentic relationships with each student; as a parent, you couldn’t ask for anything more than to have a teacher, who knows your child’s strengths and weaknesses and help them to build on those strengths and grow.As a parent of Westside, I have enjoyed being a part of a school community dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for all families with multiple ways to become engaged in the community. I will miss the parent socials, family movie night and the annual Gala.During this very difficult school year, with COVID-19, Westside has continued to support their families, by communicating the school’s response to covid, measures they took to keep the students safe. It’s hard for me to believe that this is my family’s last year at Westside, and I am so HAPPY and GRATEFUL that my family stumbled upon this hidden jewel. I will say that any family who choose Westside as a school for your child(ren) will not be disappointed.

Awful experience. The teachers are nice, but the administration team is unkind, unsmiling and unhelpful. In addition, WMS kept thousands of dollars of our tuition money despite being completely shut during covid (no virtual option for toddlers) - and getting a Govt PPP grant worth up to $350,000.

Westside Montessori is the type of school every parent dreams about sending their kid to- small enough to have a strong sense of community yet large enough to be full of diversity. The faculty truly care about each family and they do a wonderful job of teaching with compassion and consistency. Even now with 2020 bringing so many changes due to covid-19, the staff has done an incredible job of keeping everyone informed & making every effort to cater to both in-school students & virtual students while still keeping the feeling of community at the center. Let me put it this way- in all my 20+ years of driving, I have never *once* put a bumper sticker on my car but within minutes of getting my WMS sticker, I proudly put it on my vehicle- I want everyone to know how pleased and proud we are of our school & I’m happy talk anyone’s ear off as to why we love it so much :) Westside Montessori truly is a very special school & we are so lucky to have them as a part of our lives- our two kids come home from school happy and truly enjoy their classmates & teachers and that is worth it’s weight in gold :)

Lovely school filled with teachers that care! All the school teachers know every child that walks through their doors. It feels like we are not just part of a school, but a community and that is wonderful! Our son loves to show us what hes learning and you can see the pride he takes in his advancements. A nurturing environment, that truly follows the Montessori method. Its made me a believer! Im truly grateful for this little gem of school.

Authentic Montessori education. Great teachers and staff, totally committed to the children and the Montessori approach. Beautiful facilities that make the children feel safe and happy. My son has special needs and the acceptance and respect for his difference has been incredible.

Westside Montessori is a wonderful school! The teachers are incredibly caring and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They provide an excellent, co-ed, private school education in the Energy Corridor of West Houston for pre-k, elementary, and middle school students.

This is the school I want to when I was 2-6 and it has left lasting memories the facility from what I remember was great and the teachers were extremely nice. I’m now 13.Btw if your reading this hi Mrs Sharif and Mrs Anna
