My family and I have been extremely impressed with St. Ambrose. I grew up in the St. Ambrose Community and we are blessed to have our children now attend. Our children have attended school here for the past 6 years. The teachers and administrators are stellar and the academics are top notch. They continuously strive to improve the growth of all students and have recently added an Academic Success Center for dedicated support to aid in academic growth for all students. The community is genuine, fun, and supportive.

We are so happy to have chosen such a great school for my daughter. It’s warm and inviting, it feels more of a community than a school. The faculty is always willing to help or answer any question or concerns. I couldn’t imagine having my daughter grow in her faith and knowledge than St. Ambrose!

We have been at St. Ambrose Catholic School for 6 years. Despite what the world threw at us, I think that 2020-21 was the best year yet. The administration was able to bring in the training, technology, and protocols that the teachers and students needed to make the year a success. My children enjoyed the STEAM activities that were added and above all, excelled academically and spiritually. Although I don’t judge everything on test scores, their Iowa Assessments score them as several/many grade levels above their actual grade.

I am so happy and glad to have my kids here. Even though with the pandemic 2020-2021, the school was able to provide flexibility, safety, great programs when other schools were not able to. I highly recommend this school because of the supporting teachers, staffs, and the principle. The school always work with me to ensure my child success.

My family and I LOVE St. Ambrose. The teachers, staff, faculty, and congregation are all amazing. We have been blessed with the excellent leadership and initiatives by the school in academics, sports, and individual child enrichment. Here at SAS, you truly feel involved and part of a family. I cannot recommend St. Ambrose enough!

St. Ambrose is an amazing school and community! This is our 3rd year at The Hive and we couldn’t be happier!The school campus is beautiful and the staff and faculty couldn’t be more welcoming! Our kiddos fell right into the fold and we have felt more at home with this school!

We love SAS. SAS has been apart of my family for 20yrs+. With the New Principal and the wonderful staff, great things are happening here.

We have been at Saint Ambrose for 6 years and love everything about the school!!

Unclear communication among principal/staff, lack of professionalism, and there is much favoritism and bias. The Catholic values of equal respect/fairness towards everyone are far from represented.

We made the switch 4 years ago to come to St Ambrose and have had THE best experience ever. The Teachers are tenured and have the best interest of the students at heart. So much passion! They leave no child behind and make sure children are challenged yet nourished both academically, spiritually and socially. We were welcomed with open arms right away by other families. My 2 Daughters have flourished so much and have the biggest smile on their faces every day. They literally are SO excited to go to school and every AfterCare everyday and get mad if I try to pick them up “early!” St Ambrose has gone through multiple renovations and is really stepping up its technology game too! We could not be happier and love everything about the Hornet Hive!! Come check this school out- you won’t be disappointed!!

Excited to come to this beautiful school with academic excellence. With new principle, the school has added state of the art technology, STEM, music/ band/ art programs, and superior curriculum. Children will be in a friendly, safe and happy environment. They will succeed and it’s worth it.

This school has many of the same negative reviews online to start but, here is where my review gets the 1 STAR which should be a no star! The administration staff are unprofessional and lack communication etiquette. This begins with the principal Ms. Sarah McDonald. I am being VERY polite when I say this school is an EMBARRASSMENT to the catholic school community. I do not recommend any parent send their child to this school. (2 other schools geographically near) We are paying for our childrens catholic school education and certain level of respect should be given to the parent/guardian. This school and staff have seem to forgotten or worse. We chose a school for many reasons for our children. Teachers, classroom curriculum, school environment and staff. St. Ambrose Catholic school does not even meet the very bare minimum standard of any listed above. I will also be sending out my notifications to the Catholic School Superintendent about our families horrible and offensive experience.

Great school, lovable teachers, and great academic. My 2 sons had been with St. Ambrose since Pre-K. Sadly, we need to move due to job situation. Were strongly believe St. Ambrose is great school for overall.
