I actually attended this elementary school for K-4th grade. 3 of my favorite teachers were Ms.Carmona, Mrs.Davis, and Ms.Gilliam. I will never forget any of them they werent only my teachers, they were my role models! But As I Read reviews I see multiple people bringing up the librarian being racist. I guess since I was a child I never paid enough attention to notice, or I just never witnessed it for myself. With that being said that doesnt mean I am on side in this she was the librarian when I was in school there and even tho I never saw it first hand, being that I am biracial (my father is African American and my mother is Mexican American) it sickens me to my stomach to read this! This is an elementary school anyone on the staff that is racist, prejudice, or whatever else they think of them selves as need to be fired immediately. I cant believe they still have someone like that around children. Ive been racially attacked as an adult and its difficult to deal with. So I can only imagine what a child feels like going though something like that!! I loved the school, But I stand against racism and for that reason I gave 1 star if I could give 0 stars I would!!!

Librarian Debbie Collier needs to be fired, and the school needs to review their policy on racism and make it clear to their staff what is not tolerated. Absolutely disgusting that parents would be leaving their children with someone who, unbeknownst to them, jokes about welfare checks paying for the burial of an entire family of color. Awful.

They hire racist women who make jokes about the death of POC children and show classism as well. Awful.

Racist librarian Debbie Collet should not be trusted around children of color or children at all. She does not deserve a job. If they do not fire her, this school is supporting racism and joking about the death of children.
