Please read my entire post.My son started as a premature infant, and I certainly had my tears, questions, concerns and disappointments under previous management, ranging from communication, great teacher changes/firing, feeding a premature infant, etc... but I stuck with them after a few meetings with verbal reassurance that things would change. My decision to keep our son at Rainbow Huntersville resulted in a pleasant personal experience, particularly because the teachers and the Directors, Mr. Lamar and Ms. Sonya care about the children, know them by name, listen and attend to concerns with urgency and do a really good job of keeping tabs on what goes on in the classrooms. The teachers and caregivers are wonderful, in that they attend to the educational and emotional needs of the children, and they do inspire the kids to be creative and confident. I see this every morning when I drop my son off.My son (a 2 year old) walks into daycare and runs into the arms of both his classroom teachers as well as the teacher next door. He hugs them, smiles with them and is quite comfortable around them, and that makes me confident in the fact that Im leaving my son in a safe a caring environment. At the Christmas party last year, our son left us to sit with his classroom teacher. That says a lot. Thanks to the amazing teachers at Rainbow for the hard work they do with the kids everyday. I appreciate it. My son is growing because of all you do. Thank you.

Being an employee of Rainbows for the last 8 years the center has had its ups and down, every center has. I must say we have a great team of management now who looks forward to growing with the Rainbow Families and the staff that make our school a great school. We have a licensed Chef, our school offers Spanish, gymnastics, basketball in the future and all other sorts of enrichment programs. We have an awesome curriculum that is designed to meet the needs of every child individually. I love being a teacher here and offering everything to the children I can. Teaching is a passion that shown through individuals, Children are like seeds plant them, water them and watch them grow!!

Wow. I dont know where to start. The facility itself is OK at best. The large gym is quite nice, however the rooms are tired. There are some very good teachers but the administration was TERRIBLE. Frequent changes to the directors, poor decisions and the children were not top of mind. There are vestiges of the old team, so I would strongly consider other locations.

I am so disappointed. I’ll first start off by saying the directors are amazing and they were hired with the same staff that was hired by a less than worthy director. My son was in the 2 year old room. I was told he would be learning everyday, potty trained, and they can keep his vegan diet. First week the teachers didn’t change him and he had poop on him when I arrived. His knees were scarred. They did not potty train. One teacher flat out told me she didn’t get around to teaching the children today. He fell out of a chair a had an injury to his head and they waited 3 hours to call. His clothes were filthy everyday (another child threw up on my son’s jacket) Mind you my son is smart he can verbalize his feelings and if something is wrong. He said he didn’t want to go several times. The first day they gave him a cupcake without permission and it was not to be given bc if the milk. I mean it’s so much I can’t even type it all. This was the scariest, most uncomfortable situation as parents. I went to work on edge not knowing if they cared for my son. We took him out after 4 weeks. Be careful there is no structure and the kids are everywhere screaming and running. I heard the 3 year old room is better.

The center did suffer under Beth Dixon. Thankfully she was replaced (around March) and the new management has been wonderful and the new director and the assistant director, Lamar, are working hard to keep and find a great staff! The kids are happy and the staff is being treated fairly and with respect. I wish the upper management would have listened to the complaints earlier.

7 STATE VIOLATIONS - why would you take your child to a place that has even 1! This place received 7!!...DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS BUILDING. That is all it is, a building. There is no love or caring for you or your children. It is purely about money and making it the Rainbow Way rather than ensuring your child grows and learns and is nourished and loved. The management will pull wool over your eyes and make you think it will be great, DO NOT BELIEVE IT. Just this month nearly 40 kids were taken out of the school all in about one week...that stat speaks for itself.

Unfortunately new management took this place and it went straight downhill. It went from being a place of love, learning and fellowship to a cold, depressing environment. We became afraid to drop our children off and were terrified to learn kids had to use their clothes to dry hands. When reported to regional management, they shrugged it off and took no responsibility. They sat idly showing no signs of remorse by while parents, children, and teachers said their good byes through tear filled eyes.

I pulled out both of my kids from Rainbow Huntersville last year because I no longer felt like my children were learning or even SAFE. If you are thinking about having your child at this center, I encourage you to research it. Check out the public records on the States website over the past year. Read the multiple PAGES of violations the State found, including not practicing fire drills, incomplete or no formal training of new staff, and unattended children. My friends child was fed food on her allergy list. My co-workers child was not fed AT ALL for the entire day. I personally watched on the video cameras teachers not changing gloves in between diapers and not even wiping bottoms at all. And you wonder why they got rid of he cameras??? I was vocal in my concerns, and heard a lot of pacifying excuses, but nothing changed. We finally felt it was necessary to remove our kids. Please please think carefully before giving them your money and your child. Not worth it.I cant leave this review without giving credit to the few teachers who are amazing - Ms Erica, Ms Shreya - not sure if they are still there, but they were fantastic. And the teachers who were ran out by Beth. But they are gone now. I appreciate their hard work in an extremely difficult environment where they are under-appreciated by the business. Because thats what this Rainbow center has turned into - they just want you to pay your bill and what you dont know is fine by them. PLEASE Ask to see staff education background, credentials, CRP & First aid cert, and proof of training upon hiring.

Do not take your children here! What once was a wonderful place for families to bring their children has been ruined by the new director hired by Rainbow. She has absolutely no clue what she is doing and its very clear she does not care about the children. When we tried to contact corporate about issues going on at the center they seemed to not care at all. The director has lied to parents about everything and in their latest state visit they received 7 violations! My question is, why is this place still open?

Rainbow has had its trials--but were glad we stayed! Just before Christmas 2016, there was a total upheaval after a new director was hired. Most of the teachers who worked under the old director did not like how things were changing, so they left. An absolute TON of faculty left. It was very unsettling. Before I knew it, kids were being pulled out left and right. My kids were upset that a good part of their friends were leaving, but were teachers and only had to stick it out a few more months until summer--then we could look for care elsewhere. Its now May and my kids are thriving. Things are definitely more consistent now. Were bringing our youngest back next year. To tell you the truth, the reason why so many people are leaving so many negative posts is because a ton of parents were Facebook messaging each other about leaving low ratings. They were encouraging others to do so. At the time, I thought the facility deserved it, but now they dont. It should be mentioned that the mass majority of the folks that left were those who had their children in from infancy up to preschool. Most of the newer kids (older and young) stayed. I think the veterans just didnt like the changes--and I understand that. im glad we stayed!

Worst Child Care Center in Huntersville. Over 40 children left last week due to Beth Dixon the director. She has no business working near children. She has taken a great school and ruined it. And for all the good little reviews they have other directors posting to make it look better. So sad! To bad Patrick Fenton the owner of all these Rainbows does t care about your children. He only cares if you pay and make him more money!! As of today 5/8/17 the newest 4 year old teacher walked out! They finally got rid of Beth but, the place is still bad!!
