RUN AWAY. The virtual bootcamp experience was a mess. Everything seemed to have been thrown together at the last minute. Now, two months out, we have received ZERO career support. The career person assigned to my husband completely ghosted him. What a joke. This company takes your money (or government money, if you qualify) and leaves you in the dust.

Joke Academy. The staff has poor communication. Instructors have entry-level experience. You better taking an online course instead of registering with them and get stuck with their grading and attending rules.

There seems to be massive communication issues between the staff and students. Need to get ahold of your instructor, your advisor, the director or student success for a critical issue affecting your ability to attend class?Good luck. It took a few days to get in touch with anyone even after leaving voicemails and sending several emails. Once they get you enrolled and get their pay, it’s very unlikely you will be able to get ahold of anyone if anything comes up, and then they’ll just remove you from Slack with no explanation. If you miss a day or two of the full time program, you might as well drop out as you are never going to catch up.Save your time and sanity, check out a self led coding platform for $10-20 a month.I also feel as if they should start students out in Python, JavaScript instead of C# to get the fundamentals down, instead of a language that is a dumpster fire with platform dependencies, builds and “Visual Studio”. .NET is 🤮Source: Self taught high school dropout working as a software engineer at six figures for a Fortune 50 company. I encouraged a friend of mine to attend and regret my decision.I’m going to get them setup on teamtreehouse and start them out with Git fundamentals, then onto Python before we go full stack JavaScript.

The Eleven Fifty Academy is a great place for career changers and career starters. It is a way to learn how to program code or about cybersecurity in a short amount of time and provide that leap into the tech industry with remote learning options available. It is a great starting point if youre looking for something new. The downtown Indianapolis location is brand new and looks amazing!

The Eleven Fifty program succeeded in taking me where I was at the time (two online CS courses*, a working understanding of a few programming languages, and enjoying the work) and getting me to a place where I could confidently apply for jobs. The team project experience came up a lot in interviews. Three months after the program I landed a developer position at a great company, where I’m still using many of the skills I picked up here.*CS50 and MIT’s Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python, both available for free on Edx.org

I recently attended a CSS/HTML bootcamp hosted by Eleven Fifty! To say I was impressed is an understatement. I was so excited by how it went, I scheduled a meeting with admissions almost immediately. The flexibility theyre offering (esp given the pandemic) is perfect for those looking to expand their skill sets.

I graduated from this program in December 2019. I would recommend attending EFA for many reasons! It doesnt matter if you do not how to code, THEY WILL TEACH YOU and bonus- everyone I encountered was very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to share!
