This is a great place. Very attentive to each students needs. Even after a few lessons she has become more focused all the while having fun.

Joining is the Best decision I have ever made!Started with just my kids joining and then with a little convincing, I too joined! Age and agility doesn’t matter. Your desire to try and commit is what you need!The instructors and other team members are so supportive! There is a true sense of camaraderie, while we all strive to do better than we did the day before.

My son loves his time at AKKA karate and looks forward to his classes every week. His instructors are patient and focused on building his skills. They have great communication with parents and answer any and all questions you may have. Highly recommended.

If you really want to learn martial arts this is the place to go in the northland. Wither your young or old they can help anyone in this journey. It is a perfect activity for families! Adults really need to look at this as it will really push you mentally as well as physically. I have never sweated this much without lifting weights. It is truly a great way to get your body and mind centered. It is also super addicting and Mr. Schee and Mrs. Miller teach it because they love it.

We have two very different boys and they both love going to karate at AKKA! The instructors are so knowledgeable and patient. They take it very seriously and still have a lot of fun. There is a comfortable place to wait while the kids have their lessons. A lot of parents and adults train too though. We are so glad that we found this place!!

Very well run! Class sizes are not too large and the instructors are amazing at what they do. They are able to really work with the kids and the kids learn new things every week. My child is learning way more than just karate. They teach respect, discipline, confidence, focus, and even how to deal with bullies. Could not be happier! AKKA is great!

I joined about six years ago at my daughters request, and found the school fun and rewarding. The instructors are very knowledgeable, and well informed about learning styles. Last summer I received my black belt at age 58! Still going to classes and still loving it.

We found this school a few years ago and thought it would be good for my (at the time) kindergartner to try in between swimming and soccer. Bored with the gym, treadmill, and video fitness trainers that I always ended up burning out on, I signed up shortly afterwards and have never looked back! Now my son and I are working up through the ranks together. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, and the camaraderie with my fellow students is rewarding. The skill developed here can be useful in everyday life, and last a lifetime.

Masters Schee and Miller are absolutely fabulous with the kids. Our 5 year old loves his time there and they do an excellent job encouraging the kids while still keeping them accountable for controlling themselves. Excellent balance!

Professional instruction while keeping karate fun and interesting. All aspects of the martial art are covered, from the basics to advanced material to philosophy. Classes for juniors are geared toward their understanding and energy level. As an adult student I find karate challenging to body, mind, and spirit.

The instructors are always attentive and helpful. Along with self defense they also teach honor, commitment and respect for each other. I am very happy that we enrolled our son in this school.

AKKA - Northland offers great martial arts training. The instructors are knowledgeable, experienced, and always willing to answer questions and provide guidance. The high quality instruction combined with an emphasis on hands on practice is very effective.

This place is a hidden gem. I started taking classes with my daughter and havent regretted it since. Mrs Miller is direct but approachable, a great instructor. The workouts can be brutal. Cant say enough about this place. If your wondering about karate this is the place to check it out. They have a perfect beginner trial month to see if you like it.

My kids and I have been at AKKA for eight plus years. It is the one of the best thing I can do with my kids. We learn together and support each other.

This place was a God send for our family! Its more than karate and they really teach you to grow personally and physically! Its perfect to do as a family and their class schedules make it possible to attend with lots of variety. My son has asthma but never has an issue kicking butt and showing respect!

My kids have been attending NORTHLAND AKKA KARATE for almost going on 5 years. My 2 eldest kids have made it to black belt and my youngest started about almost 2 years. It allows them to be surrounded by people who have the same goal in mind, self improvment, and to help those around them. No matter if you have a child in tiny tigers class (ages 4-8) or in the juniors or you as an adult in the adult class. If you are 30 years old as a yellow belt or 11 years old that is a black belt. The goal is the same. To improve yourself not just physically but mentally as well. It is always a positive and motivative atmosphere. All in all in a nut shell I LOVE NORTHLAND AKKA KARATE
