Ohhhh my Old Middle School, Youre just so full of nostalgia, great and not so great memories, overall great school.There is still some improvement to be made on the facilities but any more than that it really hasnt changed a bit since 2005.(I actually forgot to pay a book I lost, hope I can pay it back one day)...

Most of these 5-star reviews are from prior students that apparently forgot how bad it really is.This is my experience as a substitute teacher.The staff absolutely cannot keep control over the students. Allegedly the principal was awol after having been sent to a hospital by a student. The interim principal was tough, as she should be.I was expected to work thru my prep period. Fine, whatever, but I am here to earn $ and I dont make anywhere near as much as a normal teacher does. But they are all unionized so I get picked on instead, of course.You get totally insubordinate kids. Like kids completely unwilling to settle down and be quiet or switch seats from their noisy neighbors area. Kids that dont say here when you call roll. Kids that make up names and claim here for their absent friends. You also get kids that swear, a lot. Most of them talk like sailors.I went to lunch once and was totally reamed by someone without any authority to do so for not controlling other peoples kids whilst gone. In fact, the teacher that was angry at the kids took it out on me. In fact, she singled out one little black boy. I would personally sue her if he were my kid. I was let go early after that, an event I wasnt even there for and was not paid to be there for. Something was seriously wrong with her. She simply would not go away, stood there with a weird smile, and made my job of quieting them all down and having them orderly go onto the class room THAT MUCH MORE difficult.The girl that let me go, with glee, was as clueless and uneducated as they come. Its too bad too, because I guarantee I have the most advanced education of anyone at the facility. I also wanted to volunteer with Big Brother, Big Sister afterwards but they (school admin) just dont give a damn.Good bye, kids, and good luck.

There are kids who sell pot and bring brass knuckles to school. they smoke e-ciggerettes in the classrooms. but there are great teachers like Mr Scott Chandler, and ms Reyes.

Its a good school its my first year there and its not a bad school from what friends I have at that school is that the staff and everything are more strict on their rules

I was originally supposed to go to this school but theres too many problems here. Im glad I didnt, there is a VERY BIG drug problem with the students and smoking on campus. The education is not very good as Ive heard from many students. Do yourself/your child a favor and go to a better middle school

Probably the worst school Ive ever been too. There are way to many fights here. The teachers are horrible except for Mr. Noctor & Mr. Valdez. Every other teacher at Monaco Middle School are messed up. And shouldnt be allowed to teach. Im honestly glad my mom moved me. Drugs are sold there everything is just bad and the teachers cant control it.

TBH people are always negative this school is very cool i go to 7th grade here and u just get into fights or trouble because you dont listen thats why theres so many haters on this web

I love this school because I have learned a lot from it and I love all my teachers and it is the best school I have ever gone to

I went to Monaco for 6 and im still there for 7 I hate It theres always a lot of fights I seen so many and theres always kids bullying and saying things thanks to that school I started cutting Im over it now but is awful teachers are so meam I try to explain things and they jusy give me detention teaches cant control the kids there mean my 5-6 teacher SHES MRS.HUNSAKER Im not afraid to say shes mean everytime I ask a question she just says do it and finish it she speaks weird and everytime I tell her to repeat what she said she always says YOU WERENT LISTENING but I do listen I just dont understand herAnd STUPID 7 PERIOD is not to help you is to help stupid kids get a better grade so the school could look better I HATE THIS SCHOOL if you want to get beat up come here because the fights are insane! Teachers the staff and everyone might not notice but theres always a fight

I have nothing good too say about Monaco... Really seen my kid stared the school new year new school ....it wax all bad.really teachers need to ..teach kids not .pick on them or say things to them to get them in class.. Really thats bulling..... Pour school

Monaco middle school is a horrible school Teachers , Deans , and just staff memebers see kids getting bullied and just act like they dont see it a girl got Rpc for defending her self from getting Beat up by a boy twice her size , Deans wrote it down as fighting when it was Self Defence

My neighbors go there and they says monico is awesome and they say there favorite part is that they go in the mariachi and they can sale chocolate for a donation to homeless but the thing i hate is that when the sale chocolate the cant give you change back.

Horrible school the teachers dont do anything when they see a kid getting bullied and the students get in trouble for self defense and there are fights every day . I recommend not bringing your child here its a living hell
