I couldnt believe I would ever improve my English in 4 weeks but I really did! They teach you in the way you will improve and remember all the grammar and vocabulary just attending the classes. I had an amazing time in LA! Mentor was cool, I loved when we had classes on the 9th floor. Only stayed for a few weeks because of work back in France but it was perfect. I would recommend LA to anyone, and Mentor too! I wish I could have taken the TOEFL course but it was not enough time for me, maybe soon...overall I was surprise how safe was the entire city of LA. Rode it all pretty much by BUS, all the way to Universal studio and it did not feel less safe than Paris! :-)

I would like to share a very good experience form my friends kid. We found this school in google. The location is great. All teachers and staff members are very friendly and helpful . Also, the school has a lot of activities on Fridays and Wednesdays. The kids are having fun while they are learning the language. We would come back again next summer!

I have been attending the TOEFL course in a Mentor Language Institute for a month.I am frequenting morning classes with the teacher Kyle. He’s super professional, fun, and very methodical teacher. Definitely a good resource in order to reach such a high TOEFL score that I need.Student advisors are very helpful, kind, ready to solve any problem and doubt.There are many students of many nationalities with a knowledge of different languages, ready to assist you and put you in a comfortable environment!I certainly recommend this school, especially for those with high goals and short time in addition to those who want to improve their English skills!

This is definitely the best school in which you can study in LA to learn English , also is one of the most recognized and is located in one of the best areas of the city, it has really wonderful teachers and a wide variety of students. In my personal experience, I never thought possible that I could learn the language but in just one year I was able to move from the beginner level to graduate from advanced and has been one of the best experiences of my life.

They have a really easy enrollment process through online.Staff is so committed and friendly.Caring and involved teachers. My English has improved immensely. I met many people from all around the world, and learned about different cultures as well.I absolutely loved my experience here.

I took the TOEFL class. Kyle, the teacher is very professional. The class is very organized and he is very funny, so you can never get bored. Owing to the class, my English skills have been improved and I’ve gotten the TOEFL score which UCLA extension required. If you need a TOEFL score or want to improve your English, I would definitely recommend the class.

The school really helped me to improve my English and excel myself at using my language on my daily routine. In addition, the location of the school is great, and the staff who work there are lit and really helpful when students need their help. I stayed for 4 weeks in Los Angeles and I went to Mentor language school by skateboard. It took 30 min from my dormitory- Its close. MLI has a lot of kind of people and my class was very multinational. For example, there were students from Japan, Taiwan , China , Korea , Brazil , Russia , Austria , Turkey , Spain and Venezuela. I enjoyed studying English with people from many different countries and cultures.I had an impression that the higher levels were more multinational. It’s a good idea to study grammar and vocabulary beforehand and get good results on the first placement test. Native English speaker gave a lesson with textbooks. We asked our teacher many questions during the class. Even if the class stops no one is offended. The one who tries to speak out in the class first wins, so I like an atmosphere where students feel free to speak.I always take notes whenever I find some new words and expressions I don’t know. And I looked up them later. Finally, I just talked to someone again and again and just repeating them is my learning style, so how to utilize class is up to you.I fully enjoyed the local life in Los Angeles outside of classes. I lived in a dormitory with a shared kitchen and bathroom with 8 people. I went to the local supermarket for daily necessities and food. My roommate taught me “They have a discount card for the supermarket”. It was very useful information for me, so I got a card immediately. I cooked my own three meals every day. When I felt a little bit hungry, I went to McDonald’s because it took just a few minutes.I saved money on the weekdays so I was able to hang out with friends on the weekend. I felt like I was a local.Los Angeles is big city, so there are a lot of exciting places . For example, Hollywood, universal studios in Hollywood, major league, Santa Monica beach , Griffith observatory etc… . I love Hollywood movies, I enjoyed just taking strolls around the city because there are a lot of the places from the movies in L.A. Actually I saw Zendaya, and my friends saw Zac Efron and Ageina Jolie. It is an irresistible attraction for movie lovers . It was a good choice to go out proactively, so I had many good experiences.

This is my second school here. Even though I already study English, Im so interested in English class, and here is TOEIC class which is good for Japanese.

Cheaper English School in the region due to the high frequency of Japanese students. Professor Gaen - graduated from Harvard - tells students to be silent with vocal grunts, as a student tries to expose his point of view. Poor international experience due to most being from the Japanese community. They use Longmans book, is good. But if you will one day study with Cambridges book, you are have a good deald! And use, too, books edit for themselves (good deal for them and just a little cheaper for us).JAPANESE TOURIST SCHOOL.BIG BUSINESS.

Ive been to this school for about 3 years. In my business English class the other day, we went to the supermarket and learned English that we cant learn from textbooks by comparing the prices to products in other stores, checking the quality, etc. It was a pleasant lesson.
