Great school.I went to Foshay Learning Center for 6th and 7th grade and let me tell you something THAT SCHOOL WAS TRASH, I got bullied each day and I reported it multiple tumes but supposedly students have rights well I have rights as well, anyway in 6th I didnt have a math teacher it was just a sub and they didnt teach us anything, in 7th I didnt have a teacher again until my classes were changed the 2nd semester. When I arrived at Barack Obama I had an F in math but thanks to my amazing Math Teacher (Mr. Walker) my grade quickly went up and for the first time I had a good grade in math. Teachers at Obama are really great and care about students succeeding, Foshay was a complete waste of my time but Im glad that I recuperated at this new school. And they take bullying seriously, unlike my old school I have rights as well and I havent been bullied since. Apart from my experience there rarely are any fights and if there are their not bad, I made so many awesome friends and I cant be any more thankful. Parents I recommend this middle school for your children, its super fun and they take education seriously. Id like to thank Barack Obama for teaching me enough for me to culminate 2 days ago. Honestly I couldnt be any more grateful that i got another chance. Im on my way to highschool in a few months but even though I was only there for 1 year, I got to know the school pretty well. Its an amazing opportunity!!

My name is George Torres and I had went to this school for my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years. I had the second highest GPA in my 8th grade year and was awarded a medal for it. My experience at this school was tough as the bad reviews about this school are true in a certain way, there is heavy drama and a lot of distractions in the school. The only way to prove that youre trying to succeed in this school is by having common sense and preventing any contact with bad influences. A strong majority of substitutes dont care about the class and slack off, which does have to be taken care of as it affects the students greatly. The teachers and staff can be nice if you show respect and pay attention to what they say. If you plan on sending your kid here make sure they have the will to refrain from interacting with negative influences.

I go to this school people who say its horrible dont know anything you are talking about this school is great and the only think that i dont like is that they are not organized and its not the teachers its the kids who dont do anything bacause the teachers teach the students just dont want to do anything so this school is great and it new and its not getting shut down in 2 years
