My son is learning sooo much. They take a lot of time and patience to go one-to-one to help him maximize his potential. A big shout-out to his violin teacher Kendra and his piano teacher as well. I would highly recommend the Angeles Academy of Music for anyone who wants to grow with regards to their passion for the arts.

My 5 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons for 5 weeks with Angeles Academy of Music. Her instructor is amazing! She is very patient, developmentally appropriate, very enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. The director is also wonderful! He is very courteous in providing follow up and demonstrates an interest in the progress of my daughter. I had reservations about enrolling my daughter in online Piano lessons, but her instructor is great with time management and ensures my daughter has review and learns new material in all of her lessons. My daughter is enjoying learning how to play the piano and that makes my wife and I very happy.

I started violin lessons this summer during the Covid-19 Pandemic as an adult learner via Zoom instruction, and honestly, I could not be happier. The Angeles Academy of Music has made it easy and meaningful. Im so relieved to have an instructor who is attentive, intelligent, patient, and who offers the right balance of scrutiny and encouragement. I was nervous to take up an instrument after so long, but the study of music--even at this beginning stage--has been deeply rewarding.

I have been an adult student of the Angeles Academy of Music since before their move to the current location with a new name. All teachers that I have interacted with are professional and dedicated teachers. They always try to encourage what I did well, improve my technique, and nudge me away from bad habits. From what I have seen, they all interact with children equally well, aiming to bring the best out of them in a way that is fun for all involved.The transition necessary because of the Covid-19 pandemic was swift and professional, with lessons now through password-protected Zoom sessions. The first remote recital was a success, partly because of the experience in the film industry of the director of the academy. I can highly recommend the Angeles Academy of Music for young and adult students alike, be they at the very beginning, or further along their musical career. After all, music is enough for a lifetime, and a lifetime is not enough for music!

Best music school I’ve ever been in LA. The director and all the teachers are highly qualified and talented and make this school a wonderful place to learn music and to get better. I have been taking private piano lessons from Ross Mitchell for 6 months so far and he is a class act and the best piano teacher I’ve had. Ross is a dedicated, enthusiastic, and effective teacher who has motivated and helped me to become a better musician and pianist. I am so glad I found this school and Ross and will continue taking lessons here for as long as I’m living in LA.

Exceptionally talented teachers that know how to inculcate an appreciation and rigorous understanding of music in kids and adults. I have taken classes in guitar and piano and have recommended them to friends and their children. Only have I heard praise. Love the community you guys are building and the manner in which you are teaching these children. Truly a special place that deserves all the recognition it gets. Keep up the good work!

Am an adult piano student with previous knowledge on the flute. This school is wonderful as they have highly trained teachers who can supplement knowledge from what I already know, and they find the type of music I like, at my level. The location and option of in-home lessons makes scheduling so easy. They have inspired me to enjoy music again... from Chopin to Bach to movie themes. Its so enjoyable.

Angeles Academy has really helped me advance in piano. All the instructors are colleges trained and have very good teaching methods for both children and adults. They have high quality pianos to teach their students with and are able to tailor the lessons to meet any personal goals you have. Given that its in Westwood, parking is usually a big problem, however Angeles Academy has their own gated parking structure which makes it VERY convenient for myself and others. Highly recommended!

The teachers here come from the best music schools around the world, and this school is one of LA’s hidden gems. The director, Nathan, is so passionate about this business, and he ensures that every student gets the individual attention and lesson plan that they need to succeed. If your child is lacking motivation to practice, they have rewards for hard work! Best school for music I know of in the area.

We are very fortunate to have found Angeles Academy of Music, through the recommendation of a friend. After playing the piano for a number of years with another private teacher, my daughter was losing interest and unmotivated to practice. That changed when she started lessons at Angeles Academy. Nathan and my daughters instructor, Jesica, have the magic touch with kids. My daughter is challenged and engaged with music that she loves to play.

A great music school super close to UCLA. The owner is very friendly and a pleasure to interact with. I really enjoyed my voice lessons here, and Graycen is a great instructor!
