If you truly want to make a career out of music production, then IO is your best option, why? 1. Affordable 2. This Faculty cares in a different way 3. They develop the most important aspects you will need and not just hype you up while attending 4. The atmosphere is family oriented 5. Dont take my word for it, ask for a tour and sit down and feel what am talking about.

IO Music Academys 12 month program has completely changed the way that I approach making music. When I first started the program, creating music and having a career in the industry seemed impossible. However, the curriculum is laid out in a way that makes sense. Every class builds on the next and the teachers provide you with help whenever you need it. Slowly over the past year, I have learned everything from basic music theory to advanced mixing and mastering concepts. The classroom and studio are neat and orderly and put you in the right mindset whenever you show up.If you are seriously interested in a career in music production and dont know where to start, this is the place. Will this program make you rich and famous? No. But, I am certain that with the skills I learned and with consistent practice I will be able to reach my goals.

I am currently enrolled in the school and love every aspect of it -it’s a hands-on boutique collaborative experience That allows you to share your creative self in a room with like minded people! I would highly recommend anyone contemplating about getting into it to go take the tour you’ll be glad you did.

IO is incredible; ive already sent several friends interested in deepening their music production skills to the school and theyre all stoked! The classes are small, and you can get so much extra help during the week as well as studio time while youre enrolled in the course. 5 stars for all the teachers, especially Adam Johan!

IO is a very intimate enviroment to either develop or sharpen your music production abilities, regardless of skill. Personally I enrolled with next to nothing in terms of experience and walked away with a solid knowledege of synthesis, music theory, sound design, arrangement... everything needed to create my own music from beginning to end. The program will save you a tremendous amount of time rather than learning it all on your own. The instructors are super helpful and friendly, providng a safe space for you to express yourself. I love this school! Im halfway through the 2nd term and am getting ready to release some music for the first time. Instructors are ace and class sizes are small making for a very dense and hands on learning environment. If you are looking to produce House music and live in LA this is the place for you!

I am on the 3rd quarter and Im deeply saddened that soon my schooling will come to an end here. This Academy has gone beyond my expectations and I honestly learned more than I thought. While learning a lot of new things theres also an amazing team behind it all. Since its a boutique music school its pretty intimate so all my questions are pretty much answered and well explained. Literally have zero complaints and I highly reccomend this Academy. New or currently in the music world, I still reccomend attending here!

I wish I could put 6/5 stars! Had such a wonderful experience at IO. The instructors are knowledgable and patient. The class sizes are small enough in order to get individualized attention, but not uncomfortably small. All-in-all I had a great time at IO and learned so much!!

I just finished the entire program and its been an incredible journey. The courses are very thorough and I learn something new every class, even when Im already familiar with the topic. It can get a little intense sometimes as the instructors pack in a LOT of information but they post the recorded classes and info for us to watch back on our own time. I think theyve done a good job of making this a really warm and inclusive space--the other students are really cool and supportive of each other and we go to each others gigs and events. Also, we had a collab project and that got a lot of us to find other students in our own genres and its been dope to see everyone collab with each other regularly after that.Ive really grown a lot since starting here and theyve taken the time to check in with me about getting out of my comfort zone during our mentor sessions and actually teaching me how to use all these cool plug-ins and hardware that make my sound and flow so much better (we get huge student discounts that are suuuper helpful btw). Theyve also brought in a lot of cool guest speakers and producers for the free masterclasses and workshops--like ZHU and people from GOOD Music, Mau5trap, etc. and its been awesome meeting those people. Highly recommend this place, obviously I love it here.
