HIdden in plain sight on the corner of Broadway and 59th Place lies a gem of an educational supply store, a true resource for teachers and parents in the area. I learned about Neelys from Gold Elite Yelper Gary I and decided to pop in since I was in the neighborhood. I found a spotless store, filled with aisle after aisle of educational games, stickers, posters, and other miscellaneous supplies that educators need. Everything was well organized and spotless. I also found a delightful host to guide me to exactly what I was looking for. And....they do laminating for a reasonable price!Street parking.

This is the kind of place that you go to support local small business. They have all the basics that you would need. Very cute stuff and even hard to get older stuff... the downside is that there is not a large selection or newer selection.

The wonderful thing about Neelys is, it brings a lot of childhood memories to so many people. Along with good customer service. There is a wide spread variety of most elementary education. I like how knowledgeable the staff is. This is one of my favorite places to get stationary, educational supplies for the kids. A one stop shop for successful students.

Best--and last--teacher supply store in Los Angeles! LOTS of SECONDARY supplies, unlike most other stores. Prices are great and customer service is too. Parking is available if you call and ask where to park. You could also just get a little walk in from down the street.

Pros: Large and varied inventory of classroon supplies and educational materials. Helpful staff and reasonable prices. Con: Difficult to find street parking. Worth a visit!

This place is the best!! Family owned and operated ! I have been a customer since 2001 and they have everything and if its not in stock they will get it for you. They care about their customers and are always ready to help and always smile I cant say enough about this great place ....even have layaway for local family child care providersExcellent customer service and high quality itemsIm a huge fan!!!!

They sell almost everything there! I bought 3 Melissa and Doug puppets there. A Police Officer, a Construction Worker, and a T-Rex puppet! Although they are pretty expensive, and Ive wasted $80 on all of those, its still great!

Just moved out of the area, found a new teaching gig, and I MISS NEELYS TERRIBLY!!! Family-owned business, they have everything you could ever want, and the ladies are just as sweet as pie. One Saturday, I guess Ill drive the 80+ miles back to L.A. just to stock up for next year.

Cute little mom/pop education supply store in the least expected place of town. They have a great collection of items at fair prices. I came to Neelys to get a calendar laminated. I had to wait about 15 minutes for the laminator to get warmed up. The cost for laminating the calendar was $4.00 or $1.50 a foot. Although the calendar was less than two feet I believe I was charged for the excess at the front and end of the item being laminated. My error was walking out without inspecting the calendar because once I got to work it came apart, so now, my calendar just has a piece of plastic over it and you can hardly see the numbers because it is just that separated.

Lots of inventory a little pricey. Great place to go if in a pickle & need it asap.
