Great place to learn and train BJJ. I started fresh a few months back without any experience and Bryan has really helped me in my journey. I highly recommend this place, dont be intimidated if your new to BJJ and also if your an expert theres always plenty of experienced grapplers training and professional athletes (Isaac) teaching here.

I travel for work which means I travel for jiujitsu also. Having been to 50+ gyms there are a few stand outs and Clube downtown is one of these. A combination of a few elements from culture, cleanliness, format, attention to detail and individual student needs is a great start and this gym checks off these very well. It’s also very open and welcoming to drop-ins and also guests which isn’t always the case for big city jiujitsu gyms. In addition to open friendly environment this downtown location is for sure the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. Mouth wash, sanitizers facial cleansers, first aid kits and every amenity you could want is made available for you. They even track used or clean nail clippers, which shows you the detail and care of the owners and instructors. All of which translates to how the treat their students and also visitors. I attend a few different gyms in LA alone and this one is my favorite. Highly recommend checking this gym out.

Facility is new and clean but the best part is Bryan and Nancy the instructors. Being that they were teachers in LAUSD for years they understand the intricacies of communication and instructing o concepts that are not always intuitive.
