Former student of RSM. Great program and curriculum! The knowledge my brother and I gained here helped us Excel at school and in our career. Would definitely recommend!

I would like to take the time to commend the school and teachers for continuing to do such an amazing job teaching math. The school is the one constant, and you do the same great job online as in person. People often take the time to voice complaints, but not always compliments. I wanted to say thank you for doing such an outstanding job, and keeping my children loving math !

RSM is a 2 star place.I find some of the teachers to be rude (not all, just some) and the classes to be very, very long. I am saying this as a student who attended RSM for 11th and 12th grade, and my sister attends now for 5th grade. First, the teachers. While some are nice, some are not - I find this to be the norm at most schools. At RSM, however, some of the teachers do not explain well enough, which is hard enough by itself. But then, when you take the exams, you have to do it by their method, which makes you score low. The methodology for teaching, at least how I saw it, was very poor.As for classes. I am 19 now, and looking back, I cannot believe they had such long times and expected us to concentrate and be available. A lot of my classmates partook in things such as Science Olympiad, which takes place on the weekends, so theyd repeatedly miss, and RSM would shame them for this. While I get this, having 3.5 hour classes about math take place on Saturdays (in which a ton of people have competitions in academics/sports), does not make sense. My sister is currently in a 2 hour long class, and while I have to literally explain each problem out to her so she passes, she finds that her attention fades quick, which is a huge problem in my opinion. Also, this is more a service issue, but theres no WiFi here, and many of the people who drop their kids/siblings off here think its egregious. Overall, RSM is 2 stars. As an attendee, and a sibling of an attendee, I do not have much to say about the cost. No, I would not recommend sending your children here, and in fact, I recommend checking out all your options before choosing this place to commit to. Thank you.

Me and my cousin Abdul were visiting from Pakistan when we found this math camp though we’re are 69 we loved the kindergarten lessons and thought that the history was fun and engaging. Even though I don’t personally know any English I could easily translate what they said in the Pre K classroom.I had met principal Likatus at Indian Math Camp with James my formerly best friend who uses big boy vocab sometimes offending others (Though we don’t speak of that).Principle Likatus was very helpful at lunch helping me order my ham and cheese sandwich. The one bad thing is that one of the kids (Likatus Jr) said that I was bad at art. So as any reasonable man would do I donkey kicked Likatus Jr in the face telling him get out of my Fortnite lobby. Principal Likatus came over then said he likes 2k not Fortnite which caused me to rage leaving the place.

My son has attended the Russian School of Math for four years and has thrived in this program. Unlike Kumon which relies heavily on repetitive practice for mastery, RSM develops students understanding of math at a much deeper level through problem solving and critical thinking. My son has attended both programs and prefers RSM because he is challenged. His love and understanding of math far surpasses that of his peers. Well worth the time and money.

Excellent Math School... My kids started going here this summer. The methods are thought provoking, reasoning out and using methodologies etc. instead of memorizing and repetitious worksheets. It is challenging and enjoyable for them to discover new techniques in math problem solving. These classes will give them skills that will better prepare them now and for a lifetime of learning. A good investment in our childrens education. I highly recommend that you check it out for your kids as well.

After attending this incredible school for over 2 years, I only have great things to say about it. I came out of the experience having developed the skill set and mentality necessary to succeed in life and in my career in pharmacy. This wonderful school has grown tremendously in size since my attendance and is growing very rapidly because it works. All of the teachers have a genuine desire to help their students push through the lack of problem-solving abilities that many schools have under emphasized in the last many decades. RSM is not just a school, it is a boot camp for your brain that develops not only your math abilities, but also reforms your thinking strategies and logical approach to difficult problems and situations. I had a really fun time attending these classes, but when it was time to get serious, it was time to get serious if I wanted to learn and get anything out of it. The staff are so motivating and friendly, the facility is very clean, and overall there is nothing this place lacks. Everything is there to help your child/children become productive, smarter individuals within society. I highly recommend this school to children of any ages and of any level of education (K-12).

As a current student I believe it is a great and amazing way to learn mathematics. If you can you should really try joining!

Unlike most other schools in town, RSM exposes you to the more abstract side of math. When they teach concepts, they focus more on critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity to help you understand the topic as opposed to the regular memorization and heres how you arrive at your answer found commonly in schools. True, attaining these skills is much harder and takes longer than rote-memorization, but ultimately, these skills pay off in the long run in higher education and industry, where there is often no right answer to the problems you encounter and you are left to come up with a solution on your own. As a student who grew up thriving in math contests like MathCounts, AIME, and Putnam, I definitely recommend RSM for those who are determined and willing to put in effort to learn math.

Being one of the first students of this school, I was taught over my 10 years of going to this school that math really is important and since the very start, math has and will be my favorite subject. RSM helped me get through my math classes being at the top of each class from K-10. My ACT for math was at a 32 in 11th grade and I felt the most comfortable with it on the test. I have learned so much over these years and I want to thank all the staff that have been with me for making going to this school a fun and worthwhile education. You will not regret going here as long as you have the passion to learn and if you do then you will exceed above others with the math you know.

I attended RSM from elementary school age until high school when it was time to take the SATs. By no means was I gifted in math at a young age, but RSM helped me to excel in math classes in school growing up, on the SAT, and in classes now as a statistics major at Emory University. The curriculum was so much more interesting and challenging than what I learned in school that I actually began to love math at a young age. I also loved finding my schools math classes simple by comparison which built confidence in math for my future. RSM is what is missing from kids math education in schools. I cannot thank this organization enough.

The Russian School of Mathematics is the most productive, accomplished, high achieving extracurricular program that I have ever had the privilege to attend. My experience with RSM began at the age of 6 in the basement of the principals home. As it has grown and evolved from a basement classroom into the large establishment that it is today, RSM Louisville has never sacrificed its quality of teaching and remarkable ability to get students involved and excited about learning. Now, as a student of chemical engineering in a university in Boston, I can proudly say that I have contributed to RSM as not only one of the first students, but as a teacher as well. I had the opportunity to motivate and encourage my students to work hard and show them that their goals are all attainable, just as the principal and my teacher throughout my RSM career, Leonid Madorsky, showed me. From always being ahead of my public school curriculum to achieving highly on standardized tests and earning a prestigious scholarship to my university, I can confidently and proudly say that I attribute my academic accomplishments to this institution. I wish the very best to current students and staff, and am incredibly excited to watch RSM Louisville continue to evolve in the future.

Many of the teachers there are kind and caring but the principal is one of the rudest people you will ever meet. He is kind when you first meet him but you will never want him as a teacher. One time he took my phone from me and threw it in the trash can and made me get it. He hates it when anybody is having the slightest bit of fun and he is unfair when it comes to our free time. Also he assigned me to a class for 7th graders while I was in 8th grade taking 9th and 10th grade classes at school. He knows nothing about people or feelings. Other than him the facility is pretty good. Kind of long classes though. I dont think he realizes that he should at least offer shorter classes because three and a half hours is a long time especially when you have other homework, sports, and other extracurricular activities.

I felt that the head of this school is very rude and arrogant. They have a strange policy of charging fee. If the school is closed for winter/spring break, you will still be charged for nothing, but they still tell you that they charge hourly rate of $19.00, even though when the school is not in session. I dont know, how can people afford to pay $37 for each day for not having school. This is a great business to earn for doing nothing, that too when it is very expensive pricing. When you ask the head, he will not attend your concern, instead he will try to overpower you with irrelevant questions. I am very unhappy with their non-professionalism. The teachers have a heavy accent and US born kids cannot understand most of them. They have policies for the customers to follow but they dont have any policies to follow though.
