Glenda is a great instructor, the school provides different classes and they get you state ready for the exam that you are taking! I know for sure that I passed the first time I tried, only because Glenda went over and over and over the materials!!!! If you want to pass just pay attention and don’t sleep in class! Some of the people who fail, were the “know it all’s” in the class or the people who were rude on their phones disrupting the class or the people who fell asleep 😴. I was really happy with the material and the fact that if I didn’t understand something I would ask about it and it was explained throughly!!!! I’m very happy I passed all my exams and tbh I would go to Glendas class again she offers so much support in the class and if you need extra help she is there to help you!!! People now a days are just not wanting to learn anything or put in the work that is necessary to pass anything!! If you want something given to you then go to another school! If you are ready to focus then this is the school you need! Excellent teachers ❤️They provided me with the knowledge to pass my state exam on the first try!! 💪🏻

Please BEWARE! This place is a nightmare! $700 down the drain. They should be shut down. The instructor does not supervise skills or clinical! We were paired with other students and was instructed to supervise each other. We did not complete the training at all! The instructor moves very slow. It should not take 8 hours to go over 1 subject. Definitely an issue with time management. I completed 3 skills the entire time I was there and dozens of pages and chapters I had to learn on my own at home. Everything she does not cover, she expects you to teach yourself at home. The lectures and skills were incomplete and we were told to still sign the certificate for completing the hours required and that we will be given free sessions at a later time. We got 1 free session. The free 5-hour session was wasted because the instructor took the entire time to go over 1 skill. After that, I was required to pay an additional $50 for every session. In order to complete everything, it will cost about another $250. Our 2 day clinical was not supervised. Very chaotic. We were instructed to transfer residents, feed them, bathe them, get them dressed and toilet them. All of which we did not receive the proper training to do so. Especially UNSUPERVISED! And lastly, the instructor will point out a student’s features: weight, height, age, gender, skin color, hair color, etc to use as an example for her lectures. For example, if she is trying to describe a resident/patient who is on the heavier side, she will point out the heaviest person in the class to compare them to. She did this too many times. My personal experience with her is when she compared my skin complexion to the color of a bruise that you may find on a resident/patient. Yes, I am a Person of Color. But no, my skin complexion is nowhere near the color of a bruise and should never be referenced as such. Very inappropriate and I’m sure that can be offensive for some people. I’ve spoke with the director of this program and she did nothing. She always referred me back to the instructor. Not professional. This place is crooked. They know that students are leaving this program unprepared for the exam. And nowhere near enough skills to care for the elderly. They don’t care! Don’t waste your time or money! And please get the proper training before stepping into this field!

I started this program September of 2020 and finished January 2021. Chris the instructor was great! I took the state exam and passed. Chris teaches the class and breaks everything down so that you can understand. Taking this class gave me the push I needed to go back to school to get my RN! If you are wanting to go forward from CNA and becoming a CMT, the Kentucky Health Institute is the best CMT program in Louisville!!!

The training center is very nice and everyone I came into contact with was very kind and professional. The majority of the CNA class is you sitting for 8 hours listening to lecture. It took an entire 8 hour day to fill in information on two pages of paper. It was painful and not helpful for the state exam (the written is quite easy). They mark off that you did all the required skills to graduate the class, but in reality I only had the opportunity to actually put my hands on the dummy 4-5 times for 4-5 skills. The rest I never did, though it was marked completed and this was the same complaint amongst other students as well. I even paid the extra $50 to come do a skills review day but it was just the instructor showing skills, which should have been done durong the standard class in my opinion. Again, no hands on practice or experience. If you search youtube Tammy johnson CNA you can find all the skills demonstrated in videos which should help you pass the performance section of the state exam. Also, if you want to work as a nursing assistant the baptist and norton hospitals dont require you to have a CNA state license. You can also look into long term living facilities which have their own CNA training or will pay for your training.

The instructor was amazing, she really cared about her students and let us stay as long as we wanted to practice skills. We were well prepped to pass the state exam. Thank you G.T. God bless you!
