Fun dance classes for any level dancer with kind, encouraging, positive teachers. absolutely a warm and welcoming environment & wonderful community. they text and email and check in with students a lot which I love. the adult classes are 50 minutes long twice a week. the class structure is stretching, warmups, and choreography. I do wish more time was spent on choreography. sometimes there’s only enough time to go over the choreography with music once before class ends. pacing really depends on how many questions people have because the teachers are always happy to break down steps which is great if you’re a visual learner. I love the classes and teachers but I think it would be easier to progress if classes were longer (60-90 mins) or more time were spent on choreography. still, I recommend this studio :)

Ive enjoyed this studio as both a parent and student. We started by bring our daughter when she was 4, and after her first recital I asked if they had adult classes. Now we both dance there weekly, my daughter in the kinder class and my self in ballet and hip hop. 💗

I would give 4 stars for the sign up and the young girls at the registration process. However, I just signed my daughter up for a free class advertised on fb to see if she was interested in hip hop.We arrived and she was nervous but excited. I had to sign a waiver -typical, but didnt agree to photos or videos. When it was time for the class my daughter was clinging to me as i walked her in for moral support. A senior manager or who i would assume possibly owner looked at me and said, No parents are allowed! I stated i was simply walking her into the class. Heres one thought- if youre trying to get more students and advertise your dance studio classes, should you not be concerned with the perception or image youre putting out there?... She had an attitude less than friendly. Then she pulls me aside and says i need you to sign this, indicating the photo/video release... I explained I wasnt comfortable with that happening right now...she doesnt even acknowledge my concern but turns away from me and commands one of the teachers to pull my daughter out of the class. I can understand they may have their policy but this woman was rude and had no personality whatsoever not even trying to be respectful as a human to another human. I felt disappointed for my daughter but relieved i didnt put her in a place where this attitude is accepted and implemented.i have no regrets after experiencing this today. Be kind.

My preschool daughter loves coming here for dance

Our daughter just finished her first recital. She decided she did not want to continue dance lessons. We called and left messages to cancel our contract. No one returned them. My wife finally was able to get ahold of someone after two weeks. The lady in the phone was rude and probably mad at the fact we were ending our contract. She said she would have a manager call my wife back. Again, that did not happen. They took money out for this month! Terrible business practice. Obviously only in this for the money. I will be paying them a personal visit to sort this out because their phones seem to not be a good option. They also took out the money for the costume with no warning. Do not go here your children and yourself would do better elsewhere.*** After speaking with the owner there was no head way made. Go elsewhere unless you want to be robbed of your money.

I enrolled my daughter here a few months ago and I am really impressed with the work they do to keep every dancer on their toes. They are all amazing people and deserve an award for there efforts! Im extremely proud to have my daughter working with Wagner Dance Arts I would recommend them to anyone! ❤❤❤

Great instructors very well priced! Really nice people and well organized. Our child has never danced and she is picking it up really fast

Im going to toot my own horn. What Im about to say is... im one of the guys who is remodeling Wagner Dance Arts. This place is going to turn out very nice with its new lighting, and flooring, just to say a few things but Ill let you know day to day whats all getting changed, reinstalled, new to the studio. Best decision Ive ever made for my girls!!!!!! My girls absolutely love it here. Staff is amazing and caring!!!!! Super blessed to have found this dance studio!!! teachers take their time when teaching difficult techniques and I can see my girls improving each week its such a blessing best money ever spent. I lowered this another star because I’ve continued to attempt to reach out and like the other reviews, they ignore my inquiry. A few people have reached out in regards to this review and yes - there are other, better adult classes in and around Phoenix/Tempe. Don’t bother with this please if you have experience with a good studio. You’ll be disappointed. really do want to give more stars because the gal teaching the class is so sweet and patient in teaching technique, but aside from her, pretty disappointing. I kind of felt early on they the women running the studio are really business people more than anything else. They started an adult beginners ballet class, which was kind of hard to find and this one’s pretty close to me.For the first few classes I was the only one consistent. One night I had an audition and couldn’t make it back in time so I asked if they could zoom or FaceTime the class. I only asked because it was literally TWO people in the class - it would have taken zero effort to set up a phone screen (and many classes do right now). They said no. Seemed weird that they wouldn’t try to accommodate the ONE of TWO students but whatever..They give two discounted classes and then they sit you down for a ‘meeting’ to basically get your payment info. Not a lot of questions about goals or myBackground in dance- and when I did bring up my background, she seemed completely uninterested- like, she couldn’t even hide it😂 the most engaged she was was asking me when I’d like ‘payment to be automatically withdrawn.’ It was really weird and felt like I was taking out a business loan or some thing. She just seemed really intent on having me handover my card info. But I did because I do enjoy the actual class. And when I did give feedback they were pretty open to it.With Covid, I had to refrain from going to the classes this (November) month because I was exposed to someone with it, and since Wagner’s doesn’t require masks it was really important that I didn’t get exposed again because of my job. I asked if I could be refunded for November since I literally would not be able to come to even one class. This was November 9th. They responded no. I followed up- no response.I guess what’s frustrating is that they have two students and you would think they’d accommodate a little, ESPECIALLY with covid. Charging me for November when I couldn’t come is not the way to retain a member, and I have no interest going back (there are now better adult classes elsewhere). I will file a claim with my credit card, and it is documented that I was not present this one- but it’s the principal. NO ONE wears a mask and none of their normal sized classes maintain distancing. They really do not seemed concerned with retaining people or being health conscious, which is odd, since that could get them in trouble as a businessThe bad reviews here echo my experience- I wouldn’t recommend this location. There are other studios treat you like a student, not money in the bank

Love this place,the teachers and the team do a really good job! My Daughter’s in the showstopper ballet and jazz class and she loves it!! Definitely recommend this place a lot 👍👍

They have known by daughters name since the first month she started 3 years ago. The recitals are awesome compared to other studios who have 4 hours recitals that just seem dragged out. Would go here especially if you only care to watch your kids dance rather then 50 other kids dances and one of yours.

My daughter loves the class and her teacher AND shes only 3 ! No judge zone and I feel very comfortable and welcomed every time I enter. They know the names of the girls. Love it and glad I found them !

Fun and family friendly. More like a dance family than just a dance studio. My two daughters have been dancing with Wagner for the past 14 years and we love it!

My granddaughter has been dancing at this studio for seven years. She is in the Dance Elite performance team and has loved being in parades, appearing at various events and making friends.This year she earned her pointe shoes. This studio is family friendly and a great learning experience for dancers.

All three of my daughters have taken classes at Wagners over the years. Great family and teachers that are very knowledgeable. Best studio around.

This is an amazing school I have gone here a couple months and all the teachers are amazing if you dont get something they will take the time to help you and not just move 9n with the next dance move

We have been here for almost two years and they call my daughter a different name every time we come in. We have just put in our notice after my daughter was the last to receive her recital costume and missed pictures. Price is expensive for the experience.

This school is an excellent opportuniiy to learn virtually any pop or classic dance style. My son truly enjoys Hip-hop dance. Their rates are reasonable and can provide additional prrivte classes when requested.

It’s like walking into the Dance Moms show literally. The dance studio is all about making money and not on teaching skill or technique. They charge outrageous prices for the recital dance costumes. Along with using inappropriate music and dance choreography for children. Their teaching staff are unprofessional, unqualified and some are young college students with no professional dance instruction or career. The owners also use their mega Mesa church as clout and will use money to manipulate others into getting what they want. My daughter was 11 when she attended here for 2 years and it turned into the worst dance studio experience ever. If you want your child to be trained in dance technique and skill, run the other way. There are many better dance academies in the Phoenix area and I suggest you dont waste your time or money coming here.
